Chapter 116

Bumping Into His Arms

As soon as they walked in, darkness enveloped their eyes. Rosalie was holding the hands of the two
little boys tightly, while Mary led the way in front of them. Lucian and Nox snickered in their hearts, but
they did not expect Mommy to be so afraid of ghosts. However, after being frightened in the haunted
house today, they would surely forget those troubles!

The two made small calculations and did not say that their hands were hurt by Mommy‘s death grip.
They just dragged her forward without saying a word. Rosalie felt her scalp tingling as she walked. She
has been afraid of all kinds of terrifying things since she was a child.

Although she knew that the ghosts here were fake, she still felt apprehensive about the background
sounds and light effects. Especially since it was still unknown when the ‘ghosts‘ of the haunted house
would appear. The three people in front, who just said they would protect her, seemed to be doing this
on purpose. They did not say a word, which made her feel even more frightened. She wished she could
just turn around and go out.

When she thought of what Lucian said just now, she decided that she wanted to set an example for the
two little boys. Hence, Rosalie could only bite the bullet and move forward.

Rosalie was stunned for a moment, then she looked up subconsciously. In the dim light, a pale face

It was too late when the two little boys found out that something was wrong with Mommy.

Rosalie threw off their little hands and ran from where they came in a panic.



“This is terrifying. I want to get out of here!‘

“Mommy!” The two little guys were stunned by her actions. They then came back to their senses as
they quickly turned around and chased after her. Mary felt helpless as she looked back and saw the
hariging ghost who appeared at an unknown time.

This haunted house character appeared at the most opportune time. She and the two little boys were
fine when they walked over, but it appeared right in front of Rosalie.

The three quickly followed behind Rosalie, but after turning two corners, no one could be seen.

For a while, Mary and the two little boys were a little worried.

They knew how scared Rosalie was of these things. They only persuaded her to come along hoping to
change her mood. They did not expect such an accident to happen. If she encountered another scary
contraption by herself, they were afraid she would be terrified to the point of…

“It‘s all my fault. I shouldn‘t have insisted on making Mommy join us.” Nox lowered his head in guilt.

Lucian grabbed Nox‘s little hand and looked around. “Now isn‘t the time to blame ourselves. Let‘s find

The three frantically searched the haunted house

Rosalie knew nothing about the worries of the three of them as her heart was completely occupied by
fear. Her mind kept racing toward the sight of the stiff legs and the pale face of the haunted house
character. She even forgot the existence of the boys and her best friend. She only wanted to get out
quickly. After running for a long time, she could not find an exit. Rosalie could not help but feel



desperate. As she ran, she muttered to herself, “Don‘t scare me, please don‘t scare me…” Scrambling
in the dark, Rosalie hit against what felt like a person‘s hard chest.

Rosalie froze all over, then she cried out in horror as her mind went blank

After Byron entered the door, the shadows of the four people disappeared. As a result, he walked
through a different entrance from them. After searching for a long time, he did not see

anyone. Just when he was feeling irritable, someone bumped into his arms. He wanted to push the
person away, but when he heard the familiar, terrified cries of the person in his arms, his hand stopped
resisting and turned to hold the person into his protective embrace.
