Everyone was stunned for a few seconds then started slamming him.
“Pei. I’ve seen shameless but never that shameless!”
“What a shameless man. I wouldn’t feel bad for him even if they had beaten him to death!”
“That is exactly right. Exactly how old is your cousin, committing such a heinous crime?”
Most people are very simple in this day and age but there was also no shortage of creeps, especially the bums from the villages. It was not uncommon for them to steal women’s underwear or peek at women going to the bathroom.

That being said. It seemed like Old Mrs. Tong’s craziness was kind of scary. They should have their children keep their distance from the Tong family.

Tong Xuelu, too, left with Tong Mianmian and Tong Jiaxin satisfyingly.
Truth was, if she had the choice, she wouldn’t want Tong Mianmian to come into contact with the scum Tong Yanliang at all.

She had no choice but to urged Tong Jiaxin once again to never leave his sister’s side.
Tong Jiaxin nodded and made his promise.
He didn’t find Tong Xuelu’s cautiousness odd. He just assumed that she cared too much about their little sister.

After returning to the Tong family.
Those from the home village did not show too much interest in Tong Jiaxin and Tong Mianmian.
Tong Xuelu paid Tong Yanliang particular attention and saw him scanning over Tong Mianmian’s little face with a frown.
She wasn’t sure whether it was because he was in a lot of pain. He didn’t express much interest beyond that.
Tong Xuelu, however, did not let her guard down.
Jie Jinhua crashed onto the bed with her shoes on and gave order to Tong Xuelu. “Go and give Zhenzhen a call. Let her know that we are over and had her come over tomorrow.”
Tong Xuelu, “Grandma wants to meet with Zhenzhen?”
Sun Guilan pursed her lips, “What are you trying to say here? The Tong family had raised her for 15 years. Why can’t Mom see her now?”
Tong Xuelu, “You have misunderstood me, Second Son-in-law. That’s not what I was saying. Truth is, Tong Zhenzhen is locked up in the farm right now and it won’t be easy for you to meet.”
Tong Zhenzhen was locked up at a farm?
The house went silence for a few seconds after Tong Xuelu had spoken.
Jie Jinhua hopped up from the bed. Her voice was sharp and ear-piercing.
“Why was Zhenzhen locked up in the farm? How come her parents didn’t do something about that?”
She didn’t like any of the children between Tong Dajun and his wife except for Tong Zhenzhen.
Tong Zhenzhen was a sweet talker and would tell her all about Tong Dajun and his wife every time they met, including the money that the couple had been hiding.
She just didn’t know that Tong Zhenzhen wasn’t really a Tong’s child. But Jie Jinhua was happy all over again when she found out that her parents were government officials.
With Tong Zhenzhen as their real daughter and Tong Xuelu as their adopted daughter, she wouldn’t have to worry that the Tong’s wouldn’t help her sons get employment.
She was, however, dazed when she heard that Tong Zhenzhen had been sent to the farm less than 6 months after she had rejoined the family.
