Chapter 438 - Tong Xuelu lit a candle for him secretly. (1)
Tong Xuelu, “……”
She just felt that something was off.
But he was already here and it was the middle of the night. It was raining and snowing outside and she couldn’t just let the server kick him out.
Tong Xuelu turned and said to the server, “That’s right. Comrade Wen is my cousin and he came with me. His manager needed him to go and take care of something last minute, which was why he ran late. Would it be possible to get him a room?”
The server shook his head. “All the rooms are full. I wouldn’t even let him in had he not said that he is your cousin.”
Tong Xuelu and her group were all people of high status. All the servers were told ahead of them to provide them with the best service. As such, the server did not doubt Tong Xuelu’s words at all.
Tong Xuelu said calmly, “I see. Maybe he can share a room with a male comrade then.”
The server nodded and made way for them to go upstairs.
She was the only female comrade in her group today. As such, she had her own room.
The room was about 10 sq meters with two hard beds and a table. The water bottle sitting on top of the table was brought by Tong Xuelu. There was nothing else in the room.
Tong Xuelu pointed at the other bed and said, “Why don’t you sleep there tonight?”
All of Tong Xuelu’s male colleagues share a room. There were just enough beds for everyone and the beds were just big enough to fit one. Should Wen Rugui go join them, he would only be able to sleep on the floor.
But, sleeping on the floor in weather like this would make him sick.
Wen Rugui looked at the two beds that were barely one arm’s length apart and his ears and cheeks turned red visibly. “Maybe…… maybe I should go and look for another hotel or motel somewhere.”
When he was told earlier that there were no more rooms available, he blurted out that he was Tong Xuelu’s cousin.
Now that he realized the two would be staying in the same room, it dawned on him that that was not right.
Relationships between males and females were straight at this day and age. Should someone found out tomorrow that the two of them stayed in the same room, that would greatly affect Tong Xuelu’s reputation.
Tong Xuelu raised her brows. “It’s snowing outside. Do you want to turn into a snow man?”
Wen Rugui dared not even look into her eyes and his ears were so red that they could bleed. “But it’s not good for you that we stay in the same room.”
Tong Xuelu cocked her head and looked at him. “Why? Will you do anything to violate me in the middle of the night?”
Wen Rugui shook his head quickly. “Of course not!”
He would rather hurt himself than to hurt her.
He started to regret his decision. He should not have just came so rashly.
Tong Xuelu shrugged. “Well then, what do we have to worry about? I’m not worried. Unless…… you worry that I’ll violate you?”
Having said that, she looked at his body and, in particular, checked out his pair of long legs. She eyed them up and down a few times.
Noticing her looks, Wen Rugui’s heart pounded and his body stiffened inexplicably. “No, that’s not who you are.”
Tong Xuelu corrected him secretly: That’s what you got wrong. That’s exactly the kind of person that I am.
If it wasn’t the wrong location, she would for sure pin him down under her and have her ways with him that would make him cry.
“Well then, what are you worried about? Just say. Oh right, have you had dinner yet?”
Wen Rugui nodded. “Yes, I have.”
As soon as he had said that, his stomach started to growl.
Wen Rugui, “……”
Yelp, that was a little embarrassing.
Tong Xuelu busted out laughing. “You go take a bath. I’ll go make you some food in the kitchen.”
There were simple ingredients like noodles, cabbages, eggs, etc. in the kitchen. All she needed to do was to cook them.
Wen Rugui nodded while blushing. “Okay.”
Tong Xuelu turned and left after she was done talking.
And Wen Rugui grabbed his clothes and went downstairs shortly after she was gone.
