Tong Xuelu rubbed Xiao Jiu on his head and praised him. “Xiao Jiu is so incredible. He can write his own name at such young age!”
Xiao Jiu was so happy that he was praised that he blushed.
Tong Mianmian still couldn’t write her own name. Seeing her Big Sister praised Xiao Jiu, she thrusted her lips out and said, “I am a good girl. I stopped peeing the bed at 2. What about you, Xiao Jiu? At what age did you stop peeing the bed?”
Xiao Jiu’s face turned even redder when he heard that. He stammered for a long time and wasn’t able to answer that question.
Everybody busted out laughing when they saw him like that.
These two kiddoes were too cute.
Tong Xuelu and her siblings had lunch at the Su’s before they took off. Mother Su asked them to visit often and Tong Xuelu said yes to that.

A minor incident happened at the base and Wen Rugui and his mentor Jiao Boshan went to help out.
That took three weeks’ time and he Wen Rugui had been so busy that he barely had time to eat. He lost a lot of weight.
When his way back from the base back to his research facility, he ran into a friend whom he hadn’t seen in many years.
Well, he was not exactly a friend.
He, too, used to live in the military compound and was in the same class as Wen Rugui. The two would head to school and back together and they were quite close.
His parents were transferred to the northwest later on and the two had fallen out of touch.
Had he not called out to Wen Rugui first, Wen Rugui would never had recognized him.
Sun Wuyang smiled and said, “What a coincidence. Where are you heading to, Rugui? Back to Capital City?”
Wen Rugui shook his head. “I am heading back to the research center.”
Sun Wuyang was shocked. “You work at the research center? I felt for sure that you would have joined the air force much like your father and your grandpa.”
Wen Rugui’s eyes lowered a little. “I enjoy research and physics.”
Sun Wuyang rubbed his chin. “Oh, I see. I thought you didn’t want to join the air force because you were traumatized by your father’s death. Hahaha……”
Wen Rugui’s thick and dark eyelashes covered up his eyes and he didn’t say anything.
The girl next to Sun Wuyang shoved him and gave him a star.
The girl then walked forward and smiled at him. “Hi Comrade Wan, it’s good to see you again.”
Wen Rugui looked up and looked at the girl long and hard before he finally asked, “Pardon me, but you are…?”
Sun Manrou’s smile froze on her. “I am Sun Manrou. We’ve met on the train heading northwest a couple of months ago. You helped me arrest the spy and saved my life.”
Wen Rugui let out an “Oh.” “Hi Comrade Sun.”
And then that was that.
Sun Manrou had an awkward look.
Sun Wuyang looked from Wen Rugui to Sun Manrou and said curiously, “You two know each other? Xiao Rou, Rugui was the one who saved you before?”
Sun Manrou nodded. “That’s right. It was lucky that I ran into him that day. I couldn’t imagine how things would have turned out otherwise.”
Sun Wuyang chuckled. “What a coincidence. Rugui, Xiao Rou is my cousin. She’s a very talented member of the Sun family and also a pretty girl.”
Sun Manrou looked shy and shoved him some. “What are you talking about, Third Brother!”
“You don’t have to be shy. Everything that I have said is true. Besides, Rugui is like family,” said Sun Wuyang as he chuckled and scratched his head.
He turned back toward Wen Rugui and said, “Oh right, Rugui, my family will be moving back to Capital City and back to the military compound in the next couple of days. Let’s get together sometime.”
Wen Rugui looked nonchalant. “I need to head back to the base and have no idea when I will have time off.”
Even if he had time off, he didn’t want to get together with Sun Wuyang. All he wanted to do was to spend all his time with his girlfriend.
Sun Wuyang, “That’s alright. We will all be at the military compound. I am sure we will run into each other.”
Wen Rugui nodded.
The car back to the base had come and he parted with the Sun siblings before he got into the car.
