Tong Xuelu squatted down and gave them both a kiss on their cheeks.
Tong Mianmian was already used to it but Xiao Jiu was so shy that she covered up his little face with his hands after the kiss.
He was so incredibly cute.
Then, the third puppy came over to join in the fun.
Mooncake came over barking. It had grown a lot since its arrival at the family.
Tong Xuelu had paid it some attention. She felt that at the rate the Mooncake had “expanded”, it would probably grow into a large dog.
Mooncake rushed up and coquettishly pawed Tong Xuelu’s leg. Tong Mianmian had stepped on Mooncake inadvertently.
Mooncake let out a loud whimpering sound.
Tong Xuelu quickly squatted down to check it out.
The little thing was very aggrieved. It looked at Tong Xuelu with its limpid eyes and whimpered some more.

Mooncake had suddenly turned into the center of attention.
By dinner time, Mooncake ran inside the house and looked as though it wanted to spend the night inside.
Tong Xuelu never let it go inside the bedroom in the past. She liked animals but she also didn’t want dog hair all over the place.
Mooncake, however, was injured now. Seeing how pitiful it looked, Tong Xuelu felt that it would be okay for her to spend one night indoor.
Right when she was about to pull out Mooncake’s dog bed, she noticed that something was off.
Staring at Mooncake who was running around in circles under the bed, she was baffled. “Mooncake, your left foot was the limping one earlier. How come it’s the right foot now?”
As soon as she had said that, Mooncake, who was spinning around, paused a little and stopped spinning.
Mooncake whimpered, plopped down on the floor, and looked up at Tong Xuelu, as though knowing that it was caught red handed.
Tong Xuelu was so angry that she almost busted out laughing. Where did this acting dog come from?

Ever since Zhong Shulan had been gently “let down” by Wen Rugui, she had been unhappy.

Zhong Shulan knew that the dean was the extra. Mainly they were for Wen Rugui.
But she couldn’t bring herself to stop her daughter from going.
Jiao Yunshi went and gave the dean and the other managers their hot sauce before she finally arrived at Wen Rugui’s place.
