Tong Xuelu said, “It is a good thing to skip a grade. I assume you have already completed 5th grade’s textbooks before you broached me with this idea?”
Tong Jiaming nodded. “I borrowed a classmate’s brother’s 5thgrade textbooks and had already gone through them over the winter vacation.”
Tong Jiaxin’s eyes widened. “When did you do that, Second Brother? How come I didn’t know about that?”
Tong Jiaming said nonchalantly. “I can study in between classes in the daytime or at night after I have completed my homework.”
Tong Jiaxin looked at him as though he had seen a ghost. “I don’t get this at all. How is it possible to have people who enjoys studying as much as you do?”
In addition to completing his own homework, his Second Brother also tutored himself and Mianmian at night. He hadn’t expected that his brother would use every spared moment to study textbooks from the next grade up. How could he do that to himself!
Tong Xuelu was very impressed by Tong Jiaming’s self discipline. “If you are ready, I will go with you and talk to your teacher when school starts.”
One cannot just skip a grade because one wanted to. He must take and pass an examination first.
Tong Jiaming smiled. “Thank you, Big Sister.”
Tong Xuelu, “When you have successfully skipped a grade, you can have any reward that you want.”
Tong Jiaming’s eyes lit up some more. “Anything?”
Tong Xuelu nodded, “Mmhmm.”
She treated the three children fairly. Anyone who performed well would be awarded. Anyone who misbehaved would be punished.
Tong Jiaxin, seeing that his Second Brother would be awarded, was filled with envy.
Tong Mianmian blinked and also looked envious. “Big Sister, when can Mianmian start school? Mianmian wants to skip grade and get rewarded too!”
Tong Xuelu rubbed her on her head. “You are still young. Still a couple of years away.”
The little bun sighed like an adult when she heard that. Cupping her own cheek, she said, “I’ve around been around the blocks for 4 whole years, yet I still can’t attend school yet?”

Tong Xuelu finally busted out laughing when she heard that.
Tong Jiaxin, seeing that even his little sister was so ambitious, started to feel threatened.
