Shangguan Ning had planned on leaving before Jing Yichen returned. But Mu Qing’s words made her feel guilty.

In the evening, Jing Yichen showed up at the door of the ward.

He did not have the habit of wearing the same unwashed clothes on the second day.

Even an ironman would collapse of fatigue, without any rest, for two days in a row.
Shangguan Ning’s heart ached.
Her internal displeasure was gone at the sight of him, and she was feeling more and more guilty.
Jing Yichen took off his overcoat and draped it over her. Then he picked her up as Shangguan Ning made a low sound.
“Let’s go home, Ning. Okay?”

Yet none of these things happened. She was leaning in his arms quietly and gently, just like a tamed cat.
He held her tightly in his arms and strode out of the ward.
Family Mu’s Hospital was a private hospital, which was professionally administered. The nurses were fascinated by Jing Yichen yet they wouldn’t scream in obsession like other people. Every time he came to the hospital, the nurses would gather around him. But because of the regulations of the hospital and his coldness, no one dared to get too close to him.At this moment, all the nurses were staring at Shangguan Ning in his arms with jealousy. Each one of them wished fervently that it was she who was in his arms.
This mountain-cold man who was almost never approachable, was now often seen carrying that woman into and out of the hospital in the past few days.
This woman was whom the nurses were crazily jealous of. Each one of them craned her neck to glance at her appearance. However, no one other than the nurse-in-chief was allowed in the advanced ward where Shangguan Ning had stayed.
With Shangguan Ning in his arms, Jing Yichen walked along the corridors of the hospital.
She felt a bit shy under the stares of those people. Besides, Jing Yichen was already very tired, and she didn’t want to burden him further.
“Let me down, I can walk by myself.”
Jing Yichen looked at the woman in his arms, and a tiny smile hovered over his face. “Concerned about me now? It is okay, I can carry you. If one day when I get too old to carry you, I will take your hands and walk with you.”

Jing Yichen carried her into the car. Tiger started the engine and drove on, seeing them two well seated.

Shangguan Ning stretched out her hand to press the button of the sixth floor, but Jing Yichen pulled her into his arms.
“Why are you pressing the sixth floor button?” He sounded cold and dangerous. It looked as if he would gulf her down if the answer wasn’t satisfying.
Seeing his glittering eyes, Shangguan Ning almost lost her confidence. “I am going home.”
“My wife, your home is on the 27th floor. Don’t make a mistake in pressing the button!”
“I need to get my clothes from the sixth floor…”
“No need. Your husband has enough money. Just tell me what you want to wear and I will get them delivered to you tomorrow morning. As for your old clothes, just throw them all away.”
