Zheng Lun’s heart skipped a beat and her large eyes stared at Zheng Jing without blinking. The blush had spread all over her neck, and even to her collarbone.
Her skin was snowy white, and now it was painted rosy.
Her eyes showed a kind of love that could not be ignored, and it made Zheng Jing’s heart throb violently.
He stretched out his fingers and gripped Zheng Lun’s soft hand. He said in a low voice, “Let’s go.”
With her hand in his, Zheng Lun felt that the warmth coming from his palm made her heart beat even faster.
She followed Zheng Jing and walked out with him.
Outside the door, Tiger, Lee Duo and Knife Lee were standing.
Zheng Jing did not release his grip on her hand but nodded at the three men. He told Tiger, “Tiger, tell Master Jing that we have to be off, now.”
Tiger smiled at him and said, “Sure, Brother Zheng, you can leave now, I will tell Master!”
Zheng Jing took Zheng Lun into the elevator. Immediately, Tiger asked Lee Duo, “Duo, has Brother Zheng fallen for his sister? The sister looked so embarrassed and shy!”
Lee Duo, who had always been silent and steady, got very annoyed at the moment.
“I have told you many times that you must call me Brother Lee, or Lee Duo, not Duo!” Lee Duo scowled.
Ever since Tiger called him Duo, all his men had started calling him Duo as well. And it was embarrassing!
Tiger was not happy about what Lee Duo was focused upon. Wasn’t the news of the brother and the sister of the Zheng Family more exciting than his title? He called him Duo because he wanted to get close to him.
Anyway, Duo was never interested in gossip.
Tiger turned to the new man, Knife Lee and said with a smile, “Knife, did you notice the abnormal behavior of the brother and the sister?”
Knife Lee was even quieter than Lee Duo. He did not even lift his eyes when Tiger asked him the question. Nor did he care about how Tiger addressed him. He just stood still like a statue.
Seeing that he had no interest in gossip either, Tiger had to withdraw.
These men were so boring, and dumb like a piece of wood. They were even less talkative than Master. Could they have picked the skill from Master? But he had been by Master’s side for so long and he had not turned into a silent man.
Poor Tiger, he had just learned a huge piece of gossip but couldn’t find anyone to share it with.
Zheng Lun and Zheng Jing, who were the focus of Tiger’s gossip, took the elevator and went down to the underground garage.
Zheng Jing’s car was parked there.
Since Zheng Jing was a police officer, who was working for the government, his car was an ordinary looking Ford.
But it was actually a modified version. Apart from the appearance, every facility inside had been changed into the state-of-the-art equipment.
There were many times when he needed to chase the criminals and most of the criminals’ cars were top-notch expensive cars with excellent functions. What was the point of chasing them, if he couldn’t catch them?
Therefore, many police cars at the department had been modified.
Zheng Jing had his hand over his sister’s head and led her into the passenger’s seat, then went and opened the door to the driving seat and sat in.
He had one hand over the steering wheel and the other held Zheng Lun’s fingers.
He used so much strength as if he wanted to merge her palm into his own, that Zheng Lun uttered a painful sound.
Zheng Jing controlled himself, trying hard to restrain his desire and released her fingers.
Zheng Lun’s face was still red. She was embarrassed yet she did not want to let go of her brother’s fingers. Instead, she let her fingers be held in his despite a bit of pain.
She looked up and stole a glance at her brother’s side profile.
Zheng Jing was a strong man. He might not be as noble as Zheng Jing or as elegant as Mu Qing, yet he was virile looking. He had a strong willpower and a sharp sense of judgment.
He was also the kindest of all of the three.
Jing Yichen did not blink when he killed people. Mu Qing might be slightly less scary, but did not get too affected by life and death because he was a doctor.
Only Zheng Jing, the police officer who looked powerful on the outside, had actually a very soft heart. He might kill the evil ones, but he respected the human rights of ordinary suspects.
He treated animals with kindness, too. He often fed cats, puppies and tortoises together with Zheng Lun.
People always said that men who liked animals were men with real kindness.
That was what Zheng Jing was like.
Zheng Lun liked his kindness and his morality.
Of course, Zheng Jing was good-looking too. That was why he was assessed to be the best looking police officer in A City.
Zheng Lun did not dare to linger upon her brother’s handsome face. She was worried that if she kept staring at him, it would make her fall for his charm, even more.
Zheng Jing, however, was very sensitive towards her. He was aware of Zheng Lun’s eyes on him.
He looked at her and asked softly, “Lun, would you like to go somewhere? I can take you there.”
Zheng Lun was introverted and quiet, and she did not normally go outdoors.
“Where do you want to go?”
She was not sure about where she should go, and did not care much about the place, as long as her brother was with her.
Even if they went to the most boring place in the world, she would find it beautiful with Zheng Jing around.
The car was filled with her faint scent and her soft voice almost made him lose control.
He realized that his willpower was getting weaker and weaker in front of his sister and one move of her would make him falter.
