Jing Yichen strode into the living room. His eyes were like chips of ice, cold and distant. The warmth inside the living room seemed to have gone away because of his appearance.
He stared at Jing Yiran and casually said, “You are blind!”
Jing Yiran stiffened. But soon he relaxed and said, “And you are not? You would have found her ages ago rather than taking ten years to do so.”
Jing Yichen ignored him and then turned towards Tang Yun.
Tang Yun looked delighted to see him. But he was wearing such a cold and angry expression that she felt her heart tremble.
Still, she went up to him and said in a soft voice, “Brother Yichen, finally you are here! I missed you so much.”
“Who brought you back?” Jing Yichen asked in a low voice. The voice was musical but the tone overbearing. Tang Yun couldn’t stop herself from feeling worried.
Tang Yun didn’t dare meet his eyes and said, “I… I missed you. Didn’t you say that you will give me whatever you want? I don’t want to stay abroad so I returned. The moment I did I came…”
“Get out now!”
Before Tang Yun was able to finish her words, she was interrupted by Jing Yichen. She got a bit startled so she asked in confusion, “What?”
“Go back to the USA and I will not blame you for what happened.” Jing Yichen said through clenched teeth. It seemed that he was almost at the edge of breaking into uncontrollable rage. “You better follow what I tell you to, or you will have to face the consequences.”
Tang Yun finally came to herself. Tears filled up her beautiful eyes as she looked up stubbornly and said, “I am not going back to the USA. I don’t like it there, I like here! Give this villa to me.”
Jing Yiran, who was watching this show from the side, looked up in disbelief at Tang Yun.
She was really bold to demand the villa of Family Jing. It was too funny. But he liked what Tang Yun had proposed!
Mo Lan, standing next to her looked at Tang Yun as if she were a maniac. She sneered, “So you are indeed a greedy woman who wants to take the properties of Family Jing. You have no idea of who we are!”
Jing Yichen turned to Tang Yun and replied in a cold voice, “This is not my villa and even if it was, I would not give it to you. The money I have given to you is enough for you for the rest of your life. I will try my best to satisfy whatever you want. But you must not hit my bottom line.”
Tang Yun came to him and peered at his handsome face. She couldn’t hide the love inside her eyes.
Her voice turned soft and she spoke as if she had been wronged, “Brother Yichen, don’t you love me any more? Have you forgotten how we spent time together in the past? Have you forgotten the pain we went through? Have you forgotten that I saved your life? How can you drive me away?”
Jing Yichen’s face turned pale. He never wanted to relive the memory but Tang Yun kept revealing the history without caring about what he thought.
Something was crumbling inside his chest. He wanted to vomit.
His knuckles whitened, indicating that he was using his strong willpower to restrain himself.
He tried to tolerate the sickness inside his heart as said in a hoarse voice, “You would have died hundreds of times but for the fact that you saved me once. I searched for you for ten years, because you had risked your own life to save me and because you brought a spot of brightness to my life at that time. But what you may not know is that I loathe you now. You are vicious and sinister, and you are much more ruthless than the most vicious person in the entire world!”
She was vicious but she was pathetic as well. She was full of evil plans but she could sacrifice everything as well.
Jing Yichen knew her very well. He didn’t like vicious women like Tang Yun. He defended her only because she had chosen to sacrifice herself for his life.
That was the first time for him to meet someone who would sacrifice herself just to protect him.
He had been deeply shocked, and that feeling had touched his heart. But it had nothing to do with love.
At this moment, he was extremely annoyed and disgusted by Tang Yun, so much so that he was trying hard to control his urge to not kill her.
Tang Yun stiffened. She felt as if she had fallen into an icy pool.
She wobbled and said in disbelief, “What… what did you say? You… you hate me?”
Jing Yichen closed his eyes, trying to get a grip on his anger.
He kept telling himself that this woman had saved his life and that he mustn’t hurt her!
Tang Yun noticed the coldness in Jing Yichen’s eyes.
Tears kept coming out of her eyes as she said, “Why are you looking at me like this? Are you… planning to kill me? I saved your life and you want to kill me? How come you are so ruthless?”
She wiped off the tears and spoke through clenched teeth, “Alright then, kill me if you want to. I should have died ten years ago. I have been living alone for the past many years. I don’t want to live without you. If I die, I will die in your arms.”
Tang Yun tried to throw herself into his arms.
Jing Yichen dodged her effortlessly and said, “If you want to die, I won’t stop you but don’t die here in my home. Get out and do what you want.”
He had never said anything cruel to Tang Yun ever before, but today, he said everything horrible.
“I am not leaving!” Tang Yun had failed to catch him. Then she suddenly realized that she was pregnant and that was something she hadn’t used yet.
“Brother Yichen, I am pregnant with your child. You can’t drive me away.”
Yichen looked up at her and said, “Shut up and get out!”
His eyes had become bloodshot and angry veins popped out on his forehead.
Tang Yun got startled and took a step backwards.
“Hello, Sister, why are you standing outside the door? Come and sit, it is very entertaining in here!” Jing Yiran’s mocking voice broke through the temporary silence in the living room.
