When Mu Qing had rescued Zhao Anan back then and gotten to know that Knife Lee never touched her, he had found it weird. He had thought that it was because he had a strong willpower and did not get distracted by women.
But the fact was that he had fallen for Zhao Anan ages ago.
Bah, he was definitely going to put out Knife Lee’s burning flame.
He was still far from making the plan to marry Zhao Anan a success, and this Knife Lee had suddenly appeared to make a mess of things.
Mu Qing picked up the phone and called him. They fixed a place and decided to meet.
Upon reaching the place, Mu Qing said to him in a straightforward manner, “Knife Lee, stop thinking about Anan. She is my woman, was in the past and will be in the future!”
Knife Lee was confused and said, “Didn’t you break up with Anan already? She told me that herself. Why can’t I court Anan? Anan is the one who can turn me down if she wants to, not you.”
Mu Qing got annoyed by the way he was addressing her.
Anan was not the name for everybody to use.
What was Knife Lee thinking when he called her in such an intimate way?
He should have hit Knife Lee hard when he rescued Anan.
This man had no idea about his position in Zhao Anan’s life. He had been with her for so long. He won’t allow anyone to interfere with them.
Honestly, he was so good looking and Zhao Anan still did not want to marry him. This guy was not even that handsome. He looked like a hooligan, one whom Anan would not take to, at all!
“Who said that I broke up with Anan? She was just joking. You are stupid enough to have believed her words.” Mu Qing bellowed hard, foregoing his usual image as a gentleman.
Mu Qing could not control himself when it came to Anan.
He could be calm regarding everything else, like fame or money, but he could not stand it when someone else laid his eyes upon his woman.
Knife Lee was Jing Yichen’s man who was supposed to keep Shangguan Ning safe, else he would have given him a needle so that he could not get off the bed for the next two weeks.
“Also, you are not allowed to address Anan in this manner. Only her close friends can address her like this. You are not qualified.”
Knife Lee was not pleased. He frowned, and the muscle on his arms bulged as if he was getting ready to fight with Mu Qing. “I will only believe what Anan says. You must have mistreated her, because of which she broke up with you. Since you have broken up with her, you must stay away from her. You have no right to stop me from courting her.”
Mu Qing choked up with anger. This man dared to ask him to stay away from Anan?
“She is my woman. Of course I have the right. I am the only person she has liked throughout her life. You better give up. She won’t fall for you, and you are not allowed to pester her any more.”
“If you still like Anan, then we can compete with each other. But I am more likely to win, because Anan has stopped liking you. I will treat her very well.” Knife Lee seemed to have a good temper. Even when he was shouted at by Mu Qing, he did not get furious.
Competing with each other?
Mu Qing sneered. Who would be interested in competing with him?
Zhao Anan was his, always!
He was just going along with Shangguan Ning’s plan to make Zhao Anan fall into the trap, otherwise he would have never broken up with her.
Mu Qing was not worried that Zhao Anan would fall for Knife Lee. He was very confident that no one else in the world would love her more than he did, and Zhao Anan was aware of that too. But he was not happy that someone kept pestering Zhao Anan.
He was not as carefree as Zhao Anan and easily got jealous of the men around her.
If a man was deeply in love, he could get jealous much more easily than women.
After arguing with each other for quite some time, they ended up being confident about themselves when neither was able to persuade the other. Both of them left the place in anger.
Zheng Jing kept Zhao Anan company for the entire day and when he drove her back to the Zhao Family, the Old Lady received him with enthusiasm.
Zhao Anan had been worried that her grandmother would get to know about her causing trouble on the blind date today. So, she behaved obediently and kept following Zheng Jing around, fearing that she would be hit by grandmother after he left.
But it seemed that her grandmother had focused her attention on Zheng Jing. She not only asked him to stay for dinner, but also enquired about his ancestors and family background.
As far as Zhao Anan remembered, grandmother never met Zheng Jing or knew who he was.
But the Old Lady had already met him at Shangguan Ning’s and shared a meal together. They might not be close, but they were not strangers, either.
They were chatting pleasantly, and that confused Zhao Anan.
She took the opportunity and sneaked back to her room. She quietly locked the door and fell asleep.
The following morning, she slept till late and was woken up by the ringing of the phone.
Zhao Anan hated it when someone interrupted her sleep, so she shut the phone down and went back to sleep.
It was not until the servant came to knock at the door that Zhao Anan woke up unwillingly from the bed.
“Stop disturbing me, I want to sleep!”
Aunt Qian heard her voice and said anxiously, “Lady, you must go to the university now. They just called and said that it is your first day as the principal, and you must reach there earlier than others. It seems that you need to give some speech or something…”
Before Aunt Qian finished speaking, a scream arose from the bedroom.
“Ahhhhhhh!” Zhao Anan was totally awake now.
Jesus! It was her first day as the principal. She had totally forgotten about it.
No way! If she forgot to show up today in front of the school, she suspected that her cousin would kill her.
Zhao Anan got up, washed her face, and brushed her teeth at jet speed. She skipped breakfast, put on the professional uniform which Aunt Qian had prepared for her, not caring that the uniform included a skirt. Then she got into the Rolls-Royce and dashed off towards University of X.
But it was not until she reached there that she realized that she needed to deliver a speech in front of the whole school. She totally forgot about it, and had not prepared anything.
Even if she had a draft prepared, she would not have been brave enough to read it out loud in front of these people. Her mind was totally blank.
Damn, she was doomed!
