Jing Yiran was so angry, he was seething. He could kill Mu Qing this very moment, and not regret it one bit.
But Mu Qing wasn’t afraid of him. He said calmly. “I’m an expert at acupuncture, if I may say so myself. I created a process, specially customised to suit your needs. As a reward for your exemplary behaviour over the last few months, you will not be able to get intimate with a woman for a year, at least.”

Mu Qing winced in pain. Lying on the floor, he cried loudly, “One more punch and you will not be able to get intimate with a woman for the rest of your life!”
This threat seemed to have worked. Jing Yiran stopped instantly.
“I am not fooling around with you. What I have done to you can only be cured by me and no one else, so don’t waste your time and money, trying to get it rectified by someone other practitioner. Come to me for another acupuncture session after one year, so that you can live a normal life again.”
No intercourse for one year! That was like killing him!
In his mind, Jing Yiran saw the pieces of the jigsaw fall into place. By now he was certain, that all of this was the handiwork of Jing Yichen, including the plan of sending a pregnant woman to the Jing House.
He had walked into Yichen’s trap.
Mu Qing was hurt and in pain, but seeing Jing Yiran so angry and frustrated, gave him immense happiness.
“You better be on your best behaviour henceforth, if you don’t want to become a eunuch. I might cure you in less than a year, if I am impressed with you.”
After Mu Qing said what he had to, he left the operation theatre. Standing there for longer would mean asking for trouble. Jing Yiran may just punch him again. Mu Qing was handsome and he knew it. He also knew how important his looks were, when it came to impressing the ladies. It would all come to nothing, if his face was ruined.
In the waiting lounge outside the operation room, Grandma Mu Lan and Zhang Rong were both waiting with bated breath. They stood up on seeing Mu Qing leave the operation theatre.
“How did it go, Doctor? How is Ran…?” Zhang Rong was more worried than Grandma Mu Lan. What if something happened to her son? What if he couldn’t have any children in the future? Family Jing would treat them as outcastes and moreover, Jing Yichen would be the sole heir to the Jing empire.
Mu Qing had blood all over his face, and some blood had stained the white hospital gown he was wearing. His well groomed hair was unkempt and he looked very messy.
The old lady was much calmer than Zhang Rong. She was certain that her grandson had punched Mu Qing when she saw Mu Qing in this pitiful condition.
She didn’t ask about Jing Yiran. Instead, she interrupted Zhang Rong and said in a remorseful voice, “Mu Qing, I am so sorry that Ran hurt you. You have such a big heart that you continued with his treatment despite his juvenile behaviour. I truly appreciate what you have done for us and for this, I owe you one.”
Mu Qing wiped off the blood from his nose and said quickly, “No, no, Grandma. Ran and I are good friends and he was just anxious because of his current condition. I don’t blame him at all. As long as he can be cured, I won’t complain, even if he punches me to death.”
Jing Yiran had walked towards them by now and had heard Mu Qing lie with a straight face. He wanted to punch him once more, but he dare not do that. After all,his mother and grandmother were right there and he knew very well that Mu Qing now had the power to decide when Jing Yiran would be able to get intimate with a woman, next.
Seeing her son look so pale, Zhang Rong went up to him and gave him a hug. She realised that his dark blue shirt was soaked with sweat. She asked, “Are you alright, Ran? Why are you sweating so much?”
Jing Yiran chose not to reply. He just gave Mu Qing a dirty look.
Mu Qing patiently explained to Zhang Rong and Grandma, “Well, Ran doesn’t have any serious physical ailment, but I think he has just gone overboard with a few things.Its a good thing that I have discovered the root of the problem, otherwise the consequences would have been dire.”
The old lady and Zhang Rong immediately understood what he meant. Jing Yiran never controlled his urges and fooled around with so many women. Of course he had overdone it. Both of them asked in unison, “What can be done to correct this, doctor?”
This seemed to be getting bad to worse, for Jing Yiran. Neither his grandma nor his mother chose to believe his version of things.Instead, they believed this quack, Mu Qing, who had almost killed him on the operating table.
Jing Yiran knew very well that he had not overdone it, contrary to what Mu Qing claimed.
He did have numerous affairs but all of this was just exaggerated in accordance to his image. In reality, he had been intimate with only a handful of women.
This self created casanova image had now come back to bite him. His mother and grandmother simple refused to believe him.
Jing Yiran finally realized how smart Jing Yichen was. Yichen had fabricated everything with such finesse that Jing Yiran had walked into his trap, out of his own accord. Yiran could see it but these two silly women were still falling in line with Jing Yichen’s plan, and they didn’t even know it. Jing Yiran imagined Yichen laughing at him.
He couldn’t take this for another minute, but clearly Mu Qing was not done with him yet. Mu Qing went on to say, “Ran deserves a good rest now. Although I did some acupuncture on him so that he feels better, yet it is not a foolproof method. The best prescription would be for him to rest at home and not get intimate with any woman for an entire year. If he chooses to ignore my advice, the treatment that we have done so far will be of no use. I will prescribe some traditional Chinese medicine for him later which can be boiled in water and he can sip on it, through the day, once he gets home. He is not allowed to eat meat or spicy food. He also mustn’t smoke or drink alcohol, during the course of his treatment. Maintain a stable temperament and don’t get too excited or depressed. Try to control your temper too, as that is very important…”
Mu Qing went on and on for some time and both the women hung onto every word he said. From the looks of it, it seemed that they were definitely going to follow Mu Qing’s plan of treatment, to the T. Jing Yiran couldn’t believe that he would have to lead a life of abstinence for an entire year.
He may as well become a monk, if he followed Mu Qing’s line of treatment.
Mu Qing saw them off, after spending the entire afternoon with them.
Immediately after they left, he called Jing Yichen. He sounded very excited and said, “Master Jing, I did it. Thanks to my work, he is not going to be able to indulge in sexual intercourse, for at least one year! Hahaha, also, Grandma Mu Lan is definitely going to keep a check on him and his mother has promised that she would be even stricter than her. Looks like Jing Yiran is all set to be celibate, for the next twelve months.
Jing Yichen didn’t mirror Mu Qing’s excitement, because he knew Jing Yiran better than Mu Qing did.
He knew very well that Jing Yiran was too smart for this. Yiran would definitely not follow Mu Qing’s advice. Judging from Jing Yiran’s personality, it was absolutely unrealistic to expect him to abstain from all his vices for this long.
However, Jing Yichen wasn’t done with his revenge as yet. He still had a few more surprises in store for Yiran.
He said to Mu Qing,”Thank you for your assistance. Keep an eye out for him, will you? Also, when Grandma Mu Lan visits you next, just make the disease sound even more dire.”
After he was done speaking with Mu Qing, he disconnected the line. He then summoned Tiger into the study.
“How is it going on with Xie Zhuojun?”
“Master, he has become a lot more suspicious of Shangguan Rouxue. He has been keeping a tab of her whereabouts. Whom she meets, whom she speaks with, on the phone.. the works.. He suspects that Shangguan Rouxue has been cheating on him with other men.They keep quarrelling all the time and their relationship is quite unstable.”
