Shangguan Ning did not understand what made Jing Rui like water so much. Was it because she had been submerged in water for a long time just before childbirth?
It seemed that Jing Rui would want to learn swimming as he grew a bit older.
Mi Xiaoxiao arrived when Jing Rui was being bathed.
Lee Duo opened the door for Mi Xiaoxiao, after speaking with Shangguan Ning through walkie-talkie.
It was the first time for Mi Xiaoxiao to visit Shangguan Ning at her home. She had not dared to pay the visit before. Even though she was in a good relationship with Shangguan Ning, Jing Yichen was still the president of Jingsheng Enterprise. So she was not quite into meeting the cold leader at his residence.
She came here today only because she knew that he was not at home.
Shangguan Ning came to greet her from the bathroom and gave her a hug. “Director Mi, welcome, welcome! You have brightened up my poor home.”
Mi Xiaoxiao smiled brightly, “Deputy -President Shangguan, have you promoted me to the position of a director? Thank you so much. You are so nice!”
Shangguan Ning smiled even more brightly, “I am sorry. My mistake, you are still a Deputy Director!”
“Bah, stingy! Why am I still a deputy when I have such a strong contact? What a waste of my face!”
Mi Xiaoxiao complained as she pulled out an invoice from her small purse and gave it to Shangguan Ning. “This is the invoice from my blind date last time. Deputy President, I need compensation!”
Shangguan Ning got slightly startled. She took it and found that it was the invoice of the lunch which she had with Mu Qing.
She laughed. “You paid the bill! What was Mu Qing thinking? Don’t worry, You will definitely get the compensation for this lunch. I will go to Mu Qing to ask for money. It is the money he spent to court his woman.”
“That sounds just right!” Mi Xiaoxiao showed a bright smile and then looked around. “Where is our president-to-be of Jingsheng Enterprise? I am going to take a picture with him now so I can get popular when he grows up and becomes the president!”
Shangguan Ning was amused and took her to the bathroom with a smile, “President Junior is taking a bath now. You are lucky, you can get his naked picture.”
Mi Xiaoxiao was amused as well. “Are you really his mother? You just asked me to take his naked picture! I may even blackmail you with it. But I am not taking a picture with him. I may be demoted or thrown out if the president gets to know about it!”
She was just joking about taking a picture. Jing Rui was young but his identity was hidden. His pictures could never be leaked.
Before Jing Yichen took over Jingsheng Enterprise, no one knew his appearance, and even his age had been kept confidential.
She could not take pictures, but could still look at him and pinch him. Jing Yichen was not at home at the moment, and with Shangguan Ning around, she could play with this little fellow to her heart’s content.
Mi Xiaoxiao squatted down and observed Jing Rui for a while before blurting out. “Do you think that the President also took a bath like this when he was little?”
What a strange topic was she talking about? Shangguan Ning had thought that she was going to speak highly of Jing Rui.
She said with embarrassment, “You can go and ask the earlier president. He would know about it.”
Mi Xiaoxiao shivered out of fright. “No, no, no, I was just saying that. The old president is even more powerful and intimidating than the current president, and I am very frightened as a minor employee.”
Before Jing Yichen took over the office, Mi Xiaoxiao had already been working at Jingsheng Enterprise, so she had seen Jing Zhongxiu before. She always thought that Jing Zhongxiu was the scarier one, even though he looked slightly more easygoing than Jing Yichen.
After Jing Rui was bathed and fed, he fell asleep. Mi Xiaoxiao said with jealousy, “A child has the best life in the world – eating and sleeping and not needing to worry about getting fat!”
“You can also try this pig-like lifestyle!” Shangguan Ning teased her. Mi Xiaoxiao could eat a lot, but she never got fat. That was what made many staff at Jingsheng Enterprise jealous.
As Shangguan Ning was talking, she got up and placed Jing Rui back in his baby room in case her talk with Mi Xiaoxiao would wake him up.
Mi Xiaoxiao threw a reluctant look at Jing Rui as she mumbled. “It is not that bad to be a pig. He can eat and sleep, and no stress. How happy!”
Shangguan Ning took her to the living room, sat down and said with a smile, “You have stress? You are unhappy?”
Mi Xiaoxiao stuffed the grapes from the table into her mouth and said with a muffled voice, “Yes. Mother keeps urging me to get married. What is so good about being married? You will have to take care of the husband and the child and if the inlaws are still alive, you will have to pretend to be a nice daughter-in-law. That would make me turn ugly in a couple of days itself.”
“Then you will stay single for your entire life?” Shangguan Ning glared at her. “Your mother is thinking for your sake. If you are married, then someone can take care of you. You don’t have to take care of anyone.”
Mi Xiaoxiao was eating grapes when something suddenly hit her. She said excitedly, “Oh yes, I do have eyes on someone. He is very suitable as a husband!”

“Mu Qing!”
“Get out. He is taken already!”
“What about me competing with Zhao Anan? Let’s see which of us can get the man in the end. I saw what happened to Zhao Anan yesterday. I am quite confident!”
Mi Xiaoxiao looked proud and then Shangguan Ning struck hard on her back.
“Any more nonsense and I will throw you out!”
Shangguan Ning looked annoyed, but Mi Xiaoxiao understood that she was not really angry.
She could not help but get slightly surprised. “How can you trust me so much? Aren’t you worried that I will grab Mu Qing? He is indeed handsome and excellent, isn’t it normal that I fall for him?”
Shangguan Ning threw a calm look at her. “I know you well. Mu Qing is not your type.”
