Chapter 897 I&##x27;ll Serve as a Go-Between

Seeing that Petty had mixed feelings, Nicole did not say anything else. In fact, she did not know what to
say. After all, this was something between Samuel and Petty. Samuel should decide what to do.

"Alright, just go back to have a rest. I've already sent someone to call Gabrielle. She will check your
body. Take good care of yourself. Zac is looking forward to the birth of the baby, and so are you, right?
Days would be busy when we both are gonna deliver a baby."

As Nicole said so, there was a soft light in her eyes.

Petty still couldn't believe that she was going to be a mother.

She touched her belly and said with unbelief, "Am I really pregnant?"

"The report said so. You can ask Gabrielle when she checks you up later."

Nicole knew that a woman would get extremely gentle when she was pregnant, and only a mother
could understand the complicated feeling of conceiving a new life.

Petty stroked her belly and smiled gaily.

Nicole got a bit anxious because she hadn't heard anything from Samuel yet. Tired, she asked Zac to
bring Petty home.

The children had also returned to their ward, when Lucas was back.

He said to Nicole, "Mommy, Grandpa Mark is here. He asked me to go back to the army with him."

On hearing what Lucas said, Nicole could tell that Samuel's case was ended.

"What do you think?"



Nicole told Lucas to sit next to her, and asked him gently.

Lucas didn't understand,

"What do you mean?"

Seeing that her son had completely forgotten the agreement with the 158 organization, Nicole smiled.
She fondled Lucas’ head and said softly, "Nothing, just do as you wish. But don't forget to text me."

"Okay, when Samuel comes back, call me if anything happens."

"Okay."

Nicole knew her son's ambition. Now that the problem with Samuel had been solved, Lucas, of course,
should go back to the army and get drilled.

Nicole and Lucas were having a pleasant talk when Mark walked into the ward.

He asked Nicole nervously, "Are you alright? I happened to be on a mission when Lucas was back. I
didn't hear about you and Samuel until I came back. How was it? Where did you get stabbed? How's
your wound?"

If Nicole were a boy, Mark would definitely pull her clothes apart to take a close look. Unfortunately, she
was a girl.

Nicole knew Mark was worried. She smiled and said, "It was just a fake-out. I placed several blood
bags on my body beforehand to fool them. I am fine. But I still have to stay here for a few days,
concerning the influence on public opinion."

Mark got angry at once after hearing what Nicole said,



"How could you play a trick on such a thing? It was a matter of life and death! This is totally tomfoolery!
Didn't Samuel stop you from doing that? Where is he? I have to talk to him."

"He went abroad to destroy Elvis’ base. Uncle Mark, isn't that why you left?"

Nicole thought that Mark and Samuel were working on the same mission. However, she seemed to be
wrong.

Mark shook his head and said, "No, I was trying to reach the 158 organization. We need their help."

Speaking of the matter, Mark was a little depressed.

As a major at home, he was somehow respectable, but those people of the 158 did not take him
seriously at all. He didn't see anybody of the organization. Therefore, he had to think of other ways to
solve the problem.

Lucas couldn't understand why Mark was so depressed and asked, "You just need to get in touch with
the 158, right? Why are you so depressed?"

"You little boy don't know anything. Since the organization took action in Samuel's matter. We think that
the 158 might have something to do with the Green family. Unfortunately, Samuel doesn't know anyone
of the 158, but the army has something urgent that needs their help. Oh, it's useless to tell you about
this. I think I am out of my mind. "

Mark waved his hand helplessly.

However, Lucas shook his head and said, "No. I can help. I can contact people of the 158. Who are
you looking for? Silver Fox or White Shark?"

At first, Mark thought that Lucas was joking with him, but when Lucas mentioned the founding
members of the 158, Mark was stunned.



"Why, why, why do you..."

"Who on earth are you looking for?"

Lucas asked. He put the half-finished lollipop into his mouth and then opened the computer beside
Nicole. He typed on the computer quickly. Not long after, a dialog box appeared on the screen.

The dialog box could only be accessed with the password, but Lucas ignored it and entered the system
directly.

And someone's image suddenly popped up on the screen.

"Holy shit, Lucas, can you enter the password to get in next time? Because you entered the system
without the password, the people of our organization thought that our system was being hacked again.
And now the Technical Department will be busy with this again."

The silver-haired man looked at Lucas with a helpless look.

Lucas shrugged his shoulders indifferently and said, "Sorry, I forgot that I have the password."

He was really worth a punch.

However, Mark was petrified on the spot.

He wandered around the organization for several days, trying to get inside but failed. He didn't expect
that his nephew could get in touch with them easily, and it seemed that the guy was at a high-level.

"Lucas, who is standing behind you?"

"Oh, he's my Grandpa Mark, my mommy's Uncle. He wants to talk to you, so I serve as a go-between."

Silver Fox, the leader of the 158 organization, was so familiar with Lucas, which totally shocked him.

Nicole couldn't see Mark acting like a fool anymore. She cleared her voice and said, "They knew each
other for a long time. The 158 has always wanted to enroll Lucas. However, he plans to consider it after
he is ten years old. Uncle Mark, just tell them your thing before Lucas is blocked by them."

Nicole's words wakened Mark. He hastily said to Silver Fox

"Mr. Silver Fox, the army wants to work with your organization."

"Ok, let's talk about that."

Lucas directly passed the computer to Mark.

"You can go out to talk. My mommy needs to rest and I'll accompany her."

It seemed that Lucas wanted to get away from their conversation although he didn't say anything.

The corners of Silver Fox's mouth twitched again.

"Lucas, I refused to talk about anything if you are not here."

Hearing what Silver Fox said, Mark dragged Lucas out.

"Grandpa, I can walk by myself."



Lucas shook his hand depressed. Nicole looked at him and smiled.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she was the only one left in the room.

The thing had finally come to an end.

When Samuel told her about the four researchers, she finally understood why the Kents were
destroyed by Elvis.

Now, she wondered if the master of the Kents was still alive.

Olivia said that her mother was killed by Gerry. What about her father? Elvis took him away? Or he took
him to the base?

Nicole didn't know. She could only wait for news from Samuel.

She heard the knocking at the door and saw Ernesto walk in.

He said, "Mrs. Green, we got leads on that person."

"Where was he?"

Nicole asked quietly.

Ernesto paused for a moment, wanted to say something but hesitated.

Seeing him like this, Nicole whispered, "Did you go to Laurence's house and find Neville?"

"How do you know, Mrs. Green?"

Then Ernesto realized that he gave himself away.



Nicole remained still but only sighed lightly and said, "Laurence will be sad again."

When she found about the four researchers, Nicole guessed that Neville and Elvis were connected, but
she had no evidence. Now she got the evidence but didn't know how to tell it.

The Miller family had been led astray by Laurel for so many years. Neville had also been making a
name for himself in the field of cell research for so many years. Although he did not know what kind of
help Neville had provided to Elvis, the relevant people might get involved since Elvis was now caught. If
something were to happen, no one would be spared.

Nicole felt a bit vexed.

She whispered to Ernesto, "Tell Laurence about this. As for how to make a choice, it's up to him."

"Yes, Mrs. Green."

Ernesto left the room.

Nicole rubbed her temples. She wanted to see Olivia.

Although she didn't know if Olivia was willing to see her now, she had to tell Olivia these things.

Nicole lifted the covers and got out of bed.

There were still media workers outside, so she shouldn't show up. She simply put on a makeup and
went out in disguise.

According to the address Jacob had given her, Nicole went to the intensive care unit of the district
hospital.

Olivia was already asleep on the hospital bed, and Booth was on his phone absently. When he heard
the sound of the door opening, he looked up suddenly and saw Nicole walk in.



He frowned slightly.

"Nicole?"

"Shh... don't wake her up."

Nicole looked at Olivia's tired eyes with black circles and felt somewhat poignant.

"Where's Jacob?"

"Brother Jacob went abroad with Mr. Green. Didn't you know?"

Booth's words stunned Nicole. She really didn't know.

"Mr. Green? Did you just say Mr. Green? Did you and your sister forgive Samuel?"

Nicole was delighted.

Booth nodded and said embarrassedly, "My sister was too agitated since the matter was about our
parents. However, Jacob has always been in contact with Mr. Green. Later on, when we found out why
my parents were targeted by Elvis, we knew that we misunderstood Mr. Green. My sister still felt
embarrassed so she hadn't gone to visit you yet. After hearing the news that you were stabbed, she
wanted to see you, but she couldn't just leave me here alone with my broken legs."

Nicole was very happy when she heard that Olivia had forgiven her.

She said, "That's nothing. I'm fine. Please let me know about your leg, didn't you have an operation on
it? Is there something wrong with your leg again?"

Booth's face turned gloomy. He nodded, and Nicole's heart sank.

"What happened?"
