"When will the result come out?"

Nicole said in a cold voice.

Cara shook head and said, "The test is complicated. Laurence asked a reliable doctor to do it, but we
still need to wait until night."

"Tell me the result as soon as possible. Let Laurence keep an eye there. You go back now. Grandpa's
mood is unstable today. I'm afraid Viola will make a move."

Nicole felt disturbed.

"Alright. Mrs. Green, Viola is like a bomb which may explode at any time. If we still let her stay with Mr.

Zac nodded.

They went inside one after another.

Samuel had woken up. Wendy told him Nicole had gone out for something. He contacted Ernesto and
dealt with the company's business.

Just as he finished, he saw Nicole and Zac walk in together.

"Why did you two come back together?"

Samuel was a little surprised and asked.

Nicole smiled and said, "We met at the door. Let's have dinner tonight."

Zac wanted to refuse, but he saw Samuel's expression. He knew Samuel wanted him to stay.



Zac nodded and said, "Sure."

"I'm going to take a shower and change my clothes," Nicole said.

She knew that Zac came here for Petty. If she stayed, Zac might feel embarrassed, so she left.

Zac was truly grateful for Nicole's kindness.

After Nicole entered the bedroom, Samuel pointed to the sofa and said, "Sit. We are family. Make
yourself at home."

Zac felt a little guilty.

"Mr. Green, I'm really sorry for what Petty did."

"Stop interceding for her. Why do you call me Mr. Green again? Just Samuel please."

Samuel said indifferently, making Zac surprised.

He didn't expect Samuel to forgive him after Petty made such terrible thing, so he called Samuel Mr.
Green. Now, hearing what Samuel said, Zac felt touched.

"Samuel, I'm sorry."

"You didn't do anything wrong to me. What are you sorry for?"

Samuel and Zac grew up together. Samuel knew what kind of man Zac was.

Samuel made and poured a cup for Zac. He said in a low voice, "It was Petty's fault, not yours. You
don't have to apologize for her."

"But she is my wife."



Zac said sadly.

How could Samuel not know this feeling?

He pondered for a moment and said, "Zac, are you feeling better now?"

"Much better. The poison has been cleared. Thanks, Samuel."

Samuel drank the tea and said, "I know, as a husband, you want to suffer for your wife. I guess you
want to go to the prison to replace Petty, right?"

Zac didn't know what to say.

Samuel knew he was right from Zac's expression.

He sighed and said, "Zac, as a man, I'm glad you have such thought. But haven't you thought about
that Petty has become a totally bad guy? She betrayed me and said that she was doing it for you, but
in fact she was only for herself. She was afraid that she would have no support after losing you, so she
put all her eggs in one basket."

Hearing Zac's rebuttal, Samuel know Zac had thought about this.

"Alright. Even we ignored all these, can you guarantee that Petty won't hurt Nicole and me again? Can
you guarantee she won't contact Major again? Can you guarantee she won't utilize the baby to force
you to help her? If you can guarantee all of this, then I promise you."

Zac hang his head in shame.



He couldn't guarantee!

Zac clenched his teeth tightly, not knowing what else he could do to let Samuel release Petty.

"Samuel, she is pregnant."

"Don't worry. She will receive the best and most professional care before the birth of the child. Although

Seeing his persistence, Samuel sighed, "I will talk to Nicole later."

"Thank you, Samuel. I'll pack up my things and move back tonight."

Seeing that Samuel had agreed, Zac hurriedly thanked him.

Samuel gave his car keys to Zac.

Zac had a car. He used his salary to pay down payment and bought a car for Petty.
