Chapter 1321 What Would He Do from Now on?

William used to be an elegant man, but now he was tortured to this extent.

Sally didn't know what the king had done to William, but she could guess it from what she saw.

Sally intended to ask Nicole, but she was afraid that William would run away once she left.

She finally found him after great efforts. She would never let him disappear from her sight again.

Sally ordered some food. She was told that Samuel had the food prepared in the kitchen.

Sally hurriedly said, "Tell the kitchen not to add coriander. He doesn't eat coriander."

Although her voice wasn't loud, William still heard it.

No coriander?

It felt like ages ago.

When he was imprisoned in that dark cellar, he had eaten the stale food, let alone coriander. He
wouldn't be able to survive without that disgusting food. He even had something that could barely
called food stuffed into his mouth.

Thinking of this, William felt disgusted.

He was now like a dirty, sloppy, and shameful rat in a ditch. How could he be with Sally?

Even if he still loved her and didn't care about her past, but so what?

He was not worthy of her anymore.

William had always hoped that he could leave the cellar. But now, he wished he could be locked in that
cellar without seeing anyone.



He did not care how others thought about him, but he could not bear to be seen like this by Sally.
Unfortunately, it happened.

William turned on the tap, and the water sprayed on his body. He didn't have the warm feeling for a
long time.

He thought that he would die in that dark cellar. He never expected to be free again.

Now, a simple hot bath was a luxury for him.

His hair was tangled up, so he picked up the scissor and cut his long hair. Although his hair was badly
cut, he felt much more comfortable in this way.

While William was taking a shower, Sally went to find clean clothes for him. Seeing Samuel had the
clothes prepared, she then cooked and even boiled a pot of wine for William in the kitchen.

William was still in the bathroom when Sally returned.

Nicole also wanted to check on William, but Samuel carried her to bed and whispered, "Tonight
belongs to them. Even if you have any questions, don't ask tonight. You should go to bed now. It's
getting late. Take a good rest and talk to William tomorrow, alright? Don't worry. We will have a chance
to talk with him."

Samuel knew that Nicole was excited to meet William. After all, William and Xander were twins. Seeing
William was like seeing Xander.

Nicole had never seen Xander in person before. Even though she had seen his photo, she missed the
chance to see Xander one last time.

This was a lifetime regret for Nicole.



Therefore, she kind of saw William as her father.

How could Samuel not understand?

However, he was afraid that William didn't have the mind or the time to meet his niece.

Nicole knew that Samuel was right, but she still said excitedly, "William was really free this time, wasn't
he? He won't be taken away again, will he?"

"Don't worry, no one is able to take William away under my nose."

Samuel said with a smile.

Nicole hurriedly nodded.

"Right. With our people here, no one can take William away. You have punished those people who took
him into custody. It will take a while for them to inform the king. At that time, it will be impossible for
them to find William."

Nicole muttered to herself like a child.

Seeing that she couldn't calm down, Samuel lowered her head and kissed her cherry lips.

Nicole was slightly stunned, and then responded to Samuel.

William finally came out after taking a shower for an hour and a half.

His dirty face finally got clean. His hair was badly cut, but he appeared neater.

Sally felt like crying.

Sally held back her sorrow and sat down with a smile, holding William's hand.

He was wearing Sally's nightgown.

Sally smiled and whispered, "This is all your favorite food. I cooked it myself. Try it and see if the dish
tastes the same as it was twenty years ago."

Her eyes were full of expectation, as if they hadn't separated for the past twenty years.

William felt warm and wanted to sob.

He never expected that he would have dinner face to face with Sally.

William picked up the chopsticks in a strange way, but he still elegantly put the food into his mouth.

He tried the food, and the taste was familiar. William's eyes became moist.

He did not say anything but lowered his head to eat. Although he did not wolf down the food, Sally's
heart still ached.

"Take you time. There's more. Don't forget about the rice."

Sally delivered the rice bowl to William.

William paused for a moment, then picked it up and began to eat. He did not say a word or look at
Sally.



Sally's tears fell.

If she hadn't fallen in love with William back then, he would have many grandchildren and live a happy
life now, right?

It was her fault!

She ruined William's life.

Sally blamed herself and said in a choked voice, "Do you know what I've been thinking? If I hadn't met
you or fallen in love with you, you might have married a beautiful girl and had a child of your own.
Doing business or joining the army can be good choice for you. You might chat with your brothers and
spend time with your mother. Your life could have been happy and wonderful. But you met me, fell in
love with me and everything was different. William, I'll be sorry about what I did to you forever in my
life."

William suddenly stopped, and a tear fell from the corner of his eyes into the bowl.

Did he regret?

William asked himself for countless times over the years.

Did he regret knowing Sally or falling in love with her?

But the answer was the same every time.

He never regretted!

Without Sally, he never knew how crazy he could be for a person. If he didn't fall in love with Sally, he
wouldn't have studied geologic detection and mining. If it weren't for Sally, he wouldn't know that he
had the potential to be a tough guy.



He felt enough to love someone so sincerely in his entire life. He had never thought of the result.

Being together with the woman he loved was the best. If impossible, he only wished she had lived
happily.

The thought flashed through William's mind. He continued eating as if he didn't hear what Sally said.

Seeing William keep quiet, Sally felt heartache.

In the past, William could chatter to her all the morning without stopping. But now, he seemed to lose
his ability to speak. His silence was so depressing.

Sally stopped talking and went out.

After she left, William put down his chopsticks.

The food was delicious, but it was no longer the same as before.

They could not get back the lost time, nor could they fix up their broken relationship.

William used to accept that life was always unsatisfactory. But in front of Sally, the woman he loved, his
numb heart hurt so much as if his organs were displaced.

He loved her!

He loved her just like twenty years ago!

However, he didn't match her anymore!

Was there anything more painful in this world than this?

William didn't believe in fate, but now he didn't know what to do.



When he was in the cellar, his only hope was to be free again.

But now that he made it, he was actually at a loss.

He was marginalized after being detached from the world for more than twenty years. He did not know
how to adapt to this world, what he could do now, or what value he still had.

His previous persistence was now completely gone after the test of time.

William looked at the bowls and chopsticks in front of him and felt that his heart was empty.

When Sally returned, she saw William staring at the bowl and chopsticks in a daze. He was like a

Her heart ached badly.

"William, are you done? I'll give you a haircut later."

Sally tried her best to make her voice lighter.

William paused for a moment, and then put down the chopsticks.



He was like a frightened child at a loss in front of Sally. He blankly stared at the hair-cutting instrument
Sally was holding.

"Sit down."

Sally walked over and gently put William on a chair. Then, she put a blouse on him and said gently, "If I
don't cut your hair well, don't laugh at me."

She thought that William would comfort her, but at this moment, William was silent.

Reassuring herself that she couldn't be anxious, Sally turned on the electric clipper. Just as she was
about to cut William's hair, she suddenly found a string of pinholes on his ear.

Her face instantly turned as pale as paper.
