Chapter 1798: Stop Your Wishful Thinking

Brenda was taken aback and then understood what Lucas meant.

“Mr. Green, do you want me to protect Ms. Shaw?”

“Ehn. She’s been a bit fragile recently. Please don’t let her get into any fight. After sending me to
Country Y, please fly back immediately. Then you should guard her all the time, protecting her from
others. Even the person who wants to approach her is working for Uncle Morty. You need to identify
them first carefully.”

Lucas felt quite uneasy.

Julian had suffered such a significant loss, so Lucas didn’t think he would let go of it so easily.

Morty was on-guard, but Julian had used online hypnosis on Michele. Lucas thought that Julian might
have other dirty tricks.

It would always be good to take precautions. Lucas didn’t want anything to happen to Yasmeen.

Brenda suddenly felt a heavy burden on her shoulders.

“Are there any problems?” asked Lucas.

“No.”

She knew that Lucas asked her to do it because she was a girl, so it would be more convenient for her
to take care of Yasmeen for twenty-four hours. However, Brenda knew the mission wasn’t so easy to
accomplish.

Since Lucas gave her such a chance, Brenda would grasp it.

“Thank you, Mr. Green,” she said.



“Work hard. Your enemies shouldn’t come to you for the time being. If they did, I would be with you.
Nobody could hurt you.”

“Okay, Mr. Green.”

Tears welled up in Brenda’s eyes.

She was always frightened back then, afraid that others would know she was a girl. There were female
employees in the Green family, but the assistants and bodyguards of the masters and young masters
were basically all males.

Brenda didn’t want to be a bodyguard only but also accumulate some business skills.

She aimed to take back the things that initially belonged to her and her other.

Right now, Lucas could give her such a chance. Brenda was overjoyed.

They flew to Country Y non-stop.

my promise to you. Since you trusted me, you must always trust me. You’d better be able to resist
others’ seductions. Brenda, I trust you. Don’t let me down.”

“Yes, Mr. Green.”

Brenda nodded and flew back.

Watching her go far, Lucas frowned deeply. He wondered when Yasmeen would wake up.

He gave her a sleeping pill developed by Joseph, so he wasn’t sure how long it would take effect.



If he hadn’t hidden the pill under his tongue and fed Yasmeen when kissing, he wasn’t sure what she
would react right now.

Thinking of that, Lucas curled up his lips into a warm smile.

“Hello, Lucas?”

He heard a crisp voice from behind.

Lucas suddenly looked back, only to find that Jasmine was standing there in a white dress. Although
she had the same face as Yasmeen, she was more quiet and tender.

“Thank you for picking me up, Jasmine.”

“You are welcome. Dad is in a meeting. Mom has an urgent operation. They’ll go back home soon.
That’s why I came to pick you up. Where is Yasmeen?”

“She’s still in Capital City.”

Lucas smiled faintly and gentlemanly, distancing himself from Jasmine.

Jasmine had been cooperating with Lucas a lot, so she knew a lot of things about him. Besides,
Yasmeen had told her about Lucas almost from his childhood to now. When she met Lucas in person
finally, Jasmine had to admit that her sister had good taste in choosing her husband.

“Has Yasmeen made trouble for you?”

As she asked, she turned around and pulled the car door open for Lucas.

“Thanks.”



Lucas sat in the backseat. Jasmine sat in the passenger seat. The driver started the engine and drove
steadily.

“That’s how Yasmeen is. If you want her to be quiet for one day, something must have happened.”

Upon hearing Lucas’s words, Jasmine smiled.

“I agree. Yasmeen is a wild monkey. My parents and brothers miss her a lot. When will you take her
home to visit us?”

Jasmine sounded as if Yasmeen had already married Lucas, but Lucas felt quite delighted.

“Ehn. I hope you can still support me later.”

“What do you mean?”

Jasmine could tell there were implications in Lucas’s words, but Lucas kept silent.

Soon they arrived at the palace. Steven had made the arrangement. Jasmine was more like a princess
than Yasmeen. She arranged everything very well.

Lucas was shown to his guestroom.

Jasmine left.

Soon, two teenage boys, seventeen or eighteen, walked in.

“Are you Lucas Green, my sister’s boyfriend?”

The boy on the right looked cold with a strong aura.

The one on the left had an evil smile, looking like Steven when he was young.



Lucas called the boy on the right, “Hello, Norman.”

And then the boy on the left. “Hi there, Patrick.”

“Even you know our names. We won’t let you marry our sister so easily.”

Norman frowned deeply.

He believed that Yasmeen must have told Lucas about them, so he could differ them so well. Seldom
people could do it.

However, Lucas wasn’t surprised. He said with a smile, “You can always inspect me, my beloved
brothers-in-law.”

“Gee... I’m not your brother-in-law. Dream on.”

After finishing his words, Norman turned away.

Patrick took a deep glance at Lucas. Although he didn’t speak, his eyes were full of meanings.

Lucas didn’t mind it at all.

How could they be incompetent? After all, their parents were Steven and Ashley.

Besides, they were the future heirs of a country.

Steven met Lucas after more than an hour.

Lucas was Samuel’s son, so Steven should make time to meet him no matter how busy he was.
However, at the thought that his daughter left home and didn’t come home often just because of this
brat, and Lucas had ignored his daughter for so many years, Steven became quite angry.



If Lucas weren’t Samuel’s son, probably Steven had already ended him.

Lucas knew his current situation very well. Hence, as soon as he met Steven, he said, “Uncle Steven,
how are you recently? My parents missed you a lot.”

His greetings suppressed Steven’s anger, which reddened his eyes in irritation.

“Don’t mention your father to me. Wait for your Aunt Ashley. We must give you a lesson. You brat! How
dare you come here alone? Where is my baby girl?”

Steven was outraged.

He hadn’t seen Yasmeen for the past two years. Usually, he could only see her during the video
conference. If it weren’t for this brat, how could his dear daughter be even busier than he was?

Lucas looked down a bit and whispered, “Yasmeen hasn’t come. There’s something that I don’t want
her to know.”

“How dare you hide something from my daughter? What do you want?”

Steven went furious.

Lucas answered flatly, “Probably you’ll whip me later, Uncle Steven. And Yasmeen shouldn’t know this
matter.”

As soon as Steven heard his words, his face darkened. The air around them chilled down.
