Recalling Jarrod's last words, Nicole sighed.

"It's a pity that Jarrod lost the baby."

"It's not a big deal. A sick child would only make everyone suffer. Fortunately, Amelia was only

He gently held her in his arms and whispered, "Zac is awake."

Nicole was slightly surprised. Knowing Zac's feelings for Petty, Nicole said pitifully, "He must have
pleaded for Petty, right?"

"No."

Samuel's words surprised Nicole again.

"What?"

"Actually, Zac even asked for a premature labor. He contacted the doctor to give Petty a cesarean
section. She gave birth to a boy that weighed nearly four kilograms."

"A son?"

Nicole had mixed feelings about it. She was kind of happy about that. But thinking of the relationship
between Petty and Zac, she couldn't stay happy anymore.

And judging from Petty's temperament, she might use this child to threaten Zac.

Samuel seemed to know what Nicole was thinking. He whispered, "Petty is dead."



"What?"

child?

"Did she die of blood loss?"

"No. She was suffocated by Zac."

Zac loved Petty so much. For Petty, he buried the hatred between the two families and suffered so
much. He would rather live a humble life for the sake of Petty. But in the end, he killed Petty himself.

Nicole was also shocked. She couldn't understand it.

Samuel whispered, "After Petty gave birth to the child, Zac put her to death. Zac told me that dying in
childbirth was the best choice for Petty. Later he would tell the child that his mother died of severe

"Samuel."

"Yes?"

"Juliana is not a traitor, is she?"

Thinking of her mother's confidence, Nicole asked.

Samuel's answer relieved Nicole.



"Then can I say Zoe is safe?"

"That's right. Zoe stays at the safest place."

haven't made out for a long time."

"I have something else to do. I'm leaving now."

After saying that, Nicole got up and tried to run away, but Samuel held her waist from behind and took
her into his embrace.

"What are you doing? I know Aaron's whereabouts."

"You know?"

Nicole was stunned.

Amelia let Aaron go, so none of them knew Aaron's whereabouts. How could Samuel know?

Seeing Nicole's surprised face, Samuel shamelessly got close to her.



"Give me a kiss and I'll tell you."

Nicole didn't know what to say.

"Samuel, who did you learn this from? Why did you become this cheeky after you came back?"

Nicole said in a casual tone, but Samuel's eyes flashed. There was a moment of hesitation and then he
said, "Honey, you know me. I am just a cheeky person deep down. Let's do something intimate before
the storm hits."

As Samuel spoke, he leaned over to kiss her.

Nicole tried to dodge, but she was not as fast as Samuel.

He was now like a wild beast released from its cage. He was aggressive, making Nicole scared and
swoon.

Nicole slowly immersed herself in Samuel's gentle attack and soon surrendered.

They stayed in the secret room for several hours. Nicole felt that her body was about to fall apart, so
she kicked Samuel hard.

"Don't touch me this week."

Samuel was amused by her complaint.

He leaned against the bed with satisfaction and promised, "Alright, I won't touch you."

"I'm serious."

Nicole didn't believe him. She wanted him to swear.



Nicole's cuteness pleased Samuel. He chuckled.

"You're as cute as a child."

He stretched out his finger and gently scratched Nicole's nose. Then he lay down sideways.

"Are you staying here with me?"

"I can't. I'm afraid that someone will look for me outside. I'll go out to sleep. Now that we know Morgan
is the mole, maybe you should go out and show up. After all, seeing you, the Green family's
bodyguards might have more confidence."

Hearing Nicole's words, Samuel paused for a moment. He whispered, "Not right now. I'll stay here and
perhaps there will be some windfall."

"Whatever. I'm leaving."
