Chapter 1213 You Look Good in Anything

"Okay, continue to eat."

Samuel let go of Nicole's hands gently, but just as Nicole continued to eat soup dumplings, Samuel
calmly said, "The cause of Ballard's death has been confirmed. Are you sure you still want to eat
more?"

Nicole put down the soup dumpling in her hands when she heard these words.

"You did it on purpose!"

Samuel did not deny but nodded and said, "Yes, I did it on purpose. What's wrong? Do you have any
objections?"

"We will wait and see."

Nicole felt that Samuel was not gentle at all.

She looked at the food in front of her and said, "Take it away!"

"Okay."

Samuel directly took it out. There was already a waiter waiting outside. He took the plate from Samuel's
hand, turned around and left the lounge.

When Samuel came back, he saw Nicole holding her chin with one hand. She narrowed her eyes as
she thought about something.



He held Nicole in his arms from behind.

"Stay away from me."

Nicole calmed down when she heard Samuel's words. She sighed softly and comfortably leaned
against him. She whispered, "Ballard's suicide was not an accident, right?"

"Yes, Ballard was afraid that Tim would see him die miserably, so he committed suicide himself. In this
way, he could die with dignity in a normal way."

Samuel's words somewhat shocked Nicole.

"He committed suicide for Tim?"

"That's right. Ballard was a real scum. Everyone thought that he was not qualified as a husband or a
father. What surprised me was that he could whitewash what he had done by making such a great
sacrifice for his only son. It seemed that he valued his son to some extent. "

Samuel said softly and sadly.

Nicole did not say anything, but she agreed with what Samuel just said.

"How is Tim doing now?"

"I don't know. I was not there. Fill said nothing either. Tim must be sad now, but Evelyn is with him. He
should be fine."

Nicole nodded when she heard what Samuel said.

Samuel told Nicole about the test results Fill had told him, and he also told Nicole about his worries. He
even asked Tim to run a physical examination so that Nicole would feel less concerned.

Nicole couldn't help but hug Samuel when she saw that he got everything under control. She leaned
against Samuel and whispered, "Thank you for everything you have done for me and people I care
about, Samuel."

"It's my job to protect people you care about as your husband."

Nicole smiled when he heard Samuel's words.

Samuel was a sweet guy. Nicole could never beat him in this respect.

"There's nothing we can do now since everything is settled. Where are we going next?"

Nicole still remembered what Samuel said before eating.

Although she was worried about Tim and wanted to know the answer, Tim had Evelyn with him.
Moreover, Samuel also told Fill to inform them when he found something. Therefore, what she needed
to do now was to have a good time with her husband and children. They meant everything to her.

Samuel smiled and rubbed Nicole's hair when he saw that she was not that worried, "You need to get
enough rest, or you may feel tired later."

"Why are you saying that?"

Nicole looked at Samuel nervously. Samuel didn't know what to say when he saw Nicole's look.



"What are you nervous about, Nicole? I didn't do anything."

Nicole said nervously but domineeringly.

Samuel shook his head and laughed.

"Okay. You get it."

Samuel asked someone to send sports clothes.

Nicole knew they needed sports clothes for what they were going to do next when she noticed that they
were for her.

She quickly put on the sports clothes and turned around. Samuel was in white sports clothes and he
was really attractive.

"You look good in anything. You are really charming."

"I'll take this as a compliment from you. I'll try my best to be more attractive in the future."

Nicole rolled her eyes at Samuel when she heard Samuel's words.

"Where are the children?"

"They are still sleeping. We can go out first."

It was so hot in the lounge that Nicole was even sweaty. Samuel was afraid that she might catch a cold
when they went out.



They walked out of the lounge and came to the corridor outside where they could see green mountains
and clear waters.

Nicole took a deep breath and said, "Air is fresh in the Seapolis City, but everything is cleaner in the
mountains."

"That's for sure. There are so many trees in the mountains. Everything is fresh and pollution-free here.
Pollution levels are set to increase in the Seapolis City with emissions from cars rising every day.
Maybe we can stay here for some days."

Samuel asked Nicole.

Nicole nodded immediately and said, "That's good. We're not in a hurry anyway. The air here is so
good. I really feel like staying here for some time. However, I don't think there is a hotel or a place to
stay. I only know there is a spring valley nearby. We are not staying in that spring valley, right?"

Samuel smiled and said, "I need to keep it a secret for now."

"Fine! It's all up to you."

Nicole pretended to be unhappy and took a deep breath.

She felt delighted when she breathed the fresh air.

Lucas and the other kids got up after sleeping for a while. When they came out, they happened to see
Nicole and Samuel standing outside, chatting and laughing.

Samuel looked at Nicole gently and happily. He was completely different when he talked to Nicole.
They were like a new couple who just fell in passionate love with each other. Lucas felt that the three of
them were the third wheel.



"Lucas, what are you looking at?"

Zoe stuck her head out, but she was pushed back by Lucas.

"Lucas, what are you doing? You've messed up my hair."

Zoe was unhappy before Lucas turned around and said coolly, "Game for Peace? I can be your
teammate."

"Are you serious?"

Zoe was stunned and she then burst into laughter.

Lucas smiled when he saw Zoe's look, "It seems that you don't want me on your team. I am leaving
now."

"Who said that? Lucas, we can play the game for a while."

Zoe shook Lucas anxiously.

Lucas pursed his lips and smiled, "Let me see how good you are."

"I promise I won't disappoint you."

Joseph was stunned when he saw them laughing.

"What are you doing?"

"Joseph, Lucas will play Game for Peace with us. Go find your phone now."

Zoe didn't understand why Joseph would always behave like an old man and read those medical
books.



They were still so young and were supposed to have fun. There was no need for them to live such a
boring life.

Joseph found it was really difficult to turn Zoe down and immediately took out his phone to join them.

Samuel and Nicole were stunned for a moment when they heard the children coming out, but they felt
kind of frustrated when they turned around and found out that the children started to play by
themselves.

"It is a family journey, but I feel like I have been ignored by our children. They can still play happily
when I am not around. They have never thought about me!"

"Just say it if you want to join them. You don't need to put on such a sad look. No one would care about
it." Samuel thought that Nicole was funny.

Nicole immediately smiled.

"I know you care about me. Maybe we can join our children together."

Samuel had never played any game with the children before. He saw computers as something for
work. As for mobile phones, they were used for doing business. However, he actually said yes when he
saw Nicole looking at him with expectation.

"Alright."

"Yeah!"

Nicole was afraid that Samuel would go back on his word, so she quickly went to the children with him.

"What are you guys playing? Your daddy and I want to join."



The three children were stunned when they heard Nicole's words.

Zoe was the first to say something.

"Daddy, are you sure?"

Samuel was a little embarrassed when her daughter looked at him.

"You can teach me."

As soon as Samuel said those words, Lucas immediately frowned and said, "Samuel, do you need us
to teach you?"

"Of course, I don't know the rules."

Samuel continued to act cute.

Lucas rolled his eyes, stood up and said to Joseph, "Joseph, he is on you."

"Mommy, do you know how to play it? I can teach you." Lucas said as he walked to Nicole.

Samuel was a little depressed.

He thought to himself, "How could Lucas look down upon me?"

But Nicole said happily, "Okay, you may teach me."

They became familiar with the rules quickly and began to play.

"Go to the left! Mommy, you need to hide! Oh, no! You are out!"

Zoe screamed excitedly.



Nicole was really bad at smartphone games. She got shot immediately once she came out.

Lucas couldn't stand it anymore.

"Mommy, why don't you rest for a while?"

"Why? I don't want take a step back. Why are these people targeting me all the time?"

Nicole refused to admit defeat and played the game again, but she got shot again instantly.

Lucas didn't know what to say.

He regretted it now. He thought that he should teach Samuel instead of Nicole.

When Samuel saw that Nicole was getting braver, he couldn't help but laugh and said, "What are you
guys doing? Your mommy got shot by someone else all the time. You guys needed to watch her back
and try your best to help her!"

It seemed that it was all their fault that Nicole got shot even if she was really bad at playing that game.

However, Lucas and Joseph quickly made some adjustment. Their plan was different when they played
the game again.

Everyone felt like they wanted to play another round after it was over when a waiter knocked on the
door to their lounge.
