Chapter 1782: Will You Love Her?

Zoe wondered if this matter was good or bad. Looking at Lucas’s calm face, she slightly frowned.

“Lucas, so you’ve accepted Yasmeen because of this matter, haven’t you?”

“If a woman was willing to sacrifice her own life to me, why couldn’t I accept her? In this world, I’m
afraid no other woman will love me with her life as she does.”

“Then, do you love her? Or, will you love her?”

That was the question Zoe was concerned about the most.

Yasmeen only loved Lucas all her life. However, if Lucas accepted her only because of her kindness,
Yasmeen would never accept it as she was so proud.

Lucas said without hesitation, “Yes. Although my change was quite sudden, I knew what I was thinking
after changing my mind. In fact, I had already accepted Yasmeen quite a long time ago, but my habit
made me turn her down all the time. Over the years, she has been like my shadow. No matter what I’m
doing or where I go, she’s always following me no matter how difficult it is. As soon as I look back, I can
find her. It’s already my habit. When I was dying, I subconsciously looked for Yasmeen, but she wasn’t
there at that moment.”

As he spoke, Lucas paused, looking a bit upset.

“That was the very first time I didn’t find Yasmeen behind me. For some reason, I panicked. I was afraid

Honestly, I wasn’t missing you guys instead of her at that time. I was wondering what Yasmeen would

While talking about Yasmeen, his eyes were incredibly tender, quite naturally. It was like the feeling
between Samuel and Nicole.

“All right. I’m relieved to hear you say so. Otherwise, I would always be worried about you guys. You
are my older brother, and she’s my bestie. If you didn’t treat her well, I wouldn’t know whose side I
should take at all.”

“Not necessary. I’ll never betray her.”

Lucas flicked on her forehead. Then he gave Zoe the newly made Pu’er tea.

Zoe took it over. Thinking about Julian’s matter mentioned by Yasmeen, she told him about the deal
between Yasmeen and Julian. She didn’t tell Lucas earlier because she was afraid Lucas might not
know the renal donation, but now she didn’t need to hide it.

Upon hearing it, Lucas frowned slightly.

“No wonder she had appeared on the kidnapping scene. It turned out it had something to do with me!”

“Of course. As long as the matter is about you, Yasmeen can’t think properly. However, her appearance
will make the top management investigate her. If that happens...”

“I’ll deal with this matter,” said Lucas flatly.

He took a sip of the tea, and his eyes darkened.



He remembered Julian’s name.

Julian was so bold to set him up by using Yasmeen.

Lucas decided to give him a dose of his own medicine.

“By the way, Lucas, Penny wanted to blackmail us in the afternoon. Did you delete the wildly spread
video clip?” asked Zoe.

“Ehn.”

Lucas didn’t deny it.

Zoe’s mouth corners twitched.

“You’re doting your wife with such a high profile. Aren’t you afraid others will criticize you?”

“I dare them. If they want to do it, they’d better shut up or kill me.”

Lucas’s arrogant tone made Zoe unable to continue her conversation with him any longer.

“I’m headed up to have a shower. Lucas, I’m so impressed.”

Zoe directly stood up and left.

Lucas curled up his lips into a smile. Then he continued drinking tea.

He thought about Penny.

That woman was way too greedy.

Lucas felt guilty about hurting her by accident. However, as soon as he knew Penny had something to
do with Julian, he no longer felt sorry for her.



Now the woman wanted to blackmail him and even gave Yasmeen a hard time in public. Penny must
have misunderstood Lucas was just like any other man from a wealthy family.

Lucas gulped down the tea in his teacup. Then he stood up and took a look at the clothes that were
bought by Yasmeen. He had to admit Yasmeen had good taste in fashion and knew what he preferred.
He liked all clothes she had bought.

Lucas chose a set of street clothes and put them on. Looking at his reflection in the mirror, he recalled
that Zoe mentioned Yasmeen like his eight abs. Lucas smiled.

He wondered if Yasmeen couldn’t wait to make love with him.

Thinking of that, Lucas called Brenda.

“Please make an appointment with Civil Affairs Bureau for me. I want to register for marriage.”

“Okay, Mr. Green.”

Although Brenda was surprised, she didn’t ask anything else but did what he said.

When Lucas walked downstairs in the street clothes, Yasmeen had gone to the kitchen, helping Nicole
prepare lunch. Samuel came out of the kitchen instead.

Seeing his son was not in the military uniform rarely, Samuel said with a smile, “You look good in
casual clothes.”

“I’m handsome, so I’m good in anything.”

Lucas looked in the direction of the kitchen, slightly frowning.

He wondered why Yasmeen went to the kitchen.



Had she recovered?

Upon hearing Lucas’s shameless answer, Samuel was a bit speechless.

“It was because my genes are good,” said Samuel.

“If your wife wasn’t good, no matter how good your gene is, it’s useless,” Lucas retorted.

While they were speaking, Lucas frowned deeply.

He wondered if Yasmeen was planning to cook.

He couldn’t hold it any longer. Walking over, he directly dragged Yasmeen into his arms.

“Do you think you are good at cooking? I can bear your food. Do you plan to let my parents, my older
brother, and Zoe have tummy problems?”

As he spoke, he pushed Yasmeen out of the kitchen. Then he looked back at his mother, who was
smiling and seemed to understand everything. Rubbing his nose, he said, “Mom, Dad was afraid the
lampblack here is too strong, so he asked me to replace you.”

“Can you cook?”

Nicole didn’t know it before.

Lucas said indifferently, “The military is a melting pot. I’ve learned everything. Please go out, Mom.”

As he spoke, Lucas pushed Nicole out. Then he closed the kitchen door, put on the apron, poured the
cooking oil, and started cooking in one go.
