Chapter 1697 They Are Ruthless

“Alison, what are you doing?”

Clark saw the way his daughter was, and his senses were immediately heightened.

“Are you crazy? Get rid of those explosives from you now!”

It was not easy for Clark to reunite with her daughter, and although he felt a gap in between them, he
still hoped that his daughter could live out her live peacefully.

As a parent, he sure wished for the well-being of his child.

The Close family had a long history of crime, and he had already given the final verdict to his
underlings. No matter how things would end, he would send Alison away.

Twenty years ago, he lost his daughter, which he regretted for the next twenty years. Now that he was
sending his daughter away again, truth to be told, Clark felt very unwilling, but he knew that it was best
for his daughter’s future.

No matter how bad things became, he never wanted her to end her life like that.

Kelly and Ebby had a very nasty expression on their faces.

If they were very happy at the time they found Alison, they were now equally furious.

There was no warmth at all in Alison’s eyes. Her complete cruel look made her look like she was one of
the Close family.

Kelly was so angry that he had grabbed a glass of water and tossed it towards Alison’s head.

“You are so fucking disobedient!”



However, Clark grabbed Alison and placed her behind him.

“Dad, Alison is not wrong in the slightest. All those years before, we are the ones who are in the
wrong!”

“You shut up!”

Kelly’s chest was pounding heavily.

Ebby’s eyes were bloodshot.

“Brother, you know how much I have sacrificed just for our grandpa’s teachings, and now you’re telling
me that we are wrong? If we really made a mistake, what about my marriage and child? What about
everything that I have given up in the past few years? We cannot be wrong! We are not allowed to be
wrong!”

At this moment, Ebby looked just like a mad bull.

Clark, right?

“How did you know that? You even have contact with the outside world? Did you get in touch with
Nicole? What have you done?”

Ebby could no longer sit there with calm.

She shot up from her chair but she saw Alison producing a gun from somewhere behind her. She was
aiming it at Ebby.



“Just try to take another step if you dare.”

“I said, what have you done?”

Ebby ignored the gun in Alison’s hand and asked with bloodied eyes, “How can you know about
something so private and confidential? You’re even hooking up with Nicole and betraying us? Alison,
everyone here is your family! You can even sacrifice your family’s life just for some unrelated nobody?
Are you crazy?”

“Are blood ties everything? I have only justice in my heart. I only know what is right and what is wrong.
There is no going back for people who have done terrible things. The sin of the Close family can’t be
forgiven! Why didn’t you guys even think about that when you spread the virus, how serious the
consequences would be if it spread out too fast? Even babies and children would be infected. They are
all innocent.”

This was one of the reasons that Alison couldn’t mesh with the Close family well.

They were all too cruel!
