“Lucas, I dare you to say that again!”

Yasmeen rolled up her sleeves angrily. She was going to beat him up if he literally dared.

Lucas closed his eyes, he could feel that his heart was pumping and his blood was boiling, but he said
extremely calmly, “I lost my hearing and couldn’t hear what you’re saying. Save your breath and help
me with the acupuncture instead.”

Yasmeen punched him out of anger, but to Lucas, it was like nothing more than a kitten scratching him.
When she looked at Lucas closely, he was smiling. He looked blissful and delighted.

Yasmeen stared at Lucas as he acted like he didn’t care. She went into the room furiously and grabbed
some needles. She then smiled evilly and stabbed the needle abruptly in Lucas’ acupoint. Lucas felt
pain and opened his eyes. He met eyes with Yasmeen and noticed that she looked pleased.

How could her eyes look so beautiful?

She had a beautiful face, to begin with, and this was something Lucas wouldn’t deny. Her eyes right
now were glistening like there were diamonds in them, they were dazzling. There was also a hint of
cheerfulness in her eyes that made them even more mesmerizing.



She was dangerous!

The thought appeared in Lucas’ mind. He then said calmly, “Don’t kill me, or you’ll be a widow.”

He then closed his eyes and tried to get some rest.

Yasmeen’s smile froze on her face.

The acupoint she stabbed should hurt so bad that he would jump in pain. Was he even human? He
didn’t even make a sound.

She shouldn’t kill him?

Or she would be a widow?

Did this bastard think that she would only want him and no one else?

Yasmeen grabbed another needle and wanted to stab Lucas’ other acupoint. But this time, she stopped
when she was one millimeter away from the acupoint, she hesitated.

Alright, she didn’t have the heart to do it! He was right again.

Yasmeen changed the direction of the needle last minute. She held the silver needle and stabbed it into
the acupoint next to his ear precisely.

Lucas couldn’t help but clench his fist. His body was tensing up.

“Relax!”



Her voice was gentle and sweet, it was as if the air was filled with a sweet smell. Lucas didn’t usually
like to eat sweet stuff, but at this moment, he felt delighted. His nerves started to calm down.

He then unconsciously fell asleep.

It was rare that he would let his guard down. As long as another human was around him, he would
tense up and be on edge. He didn’t think that he could be so calm and relaxed around Yasmeen.

Just like how he described it before, Yasmeen had been with him for a long time. She was like air and
water. They were necessary, but one wouldn’t normally think about how special they were.

Yasmeen listened to his even breathing, there was a hint of loving in her eyes.

He finally belonged to her.

For some reason, it felt unreal.

She reached out her hand quietly and wanted to touch his face, but then she gave up after
remembering how high-strung he was even when he was sleeping. She took off her shoes and laid
down next to him.

She was smiling so happily.

It was great.

It would be great if their days could continue like that.

Yasmeen grabbed Lucas’ pinky finger with hers. She felt reassured all of a sudden.

It was as if they made a pinky promise and would be together forever.

She was lost in her thoughts when suddenly, Lucas grabbed her hand tightly.



“Am I bothering you?”

Yasmeen felt bad.

“Shut up and sleep. Or do you want me to do something to you?”

Lucas then squinted his eyes and went back to sleep.

Yasmeen didn’t dare to move anymore. She noticed the dark circles under Lucas’ eyes and knew that
he didn’t rest well last night.

She was planning to accompany him for a bit, but she fell asleep herself. When she woke up, the smell
of good food filled her nose. The glutton in her made her jump out of bed. She rushed to the kitchen
and saw that Lucas was cooking in an apron. She was extremely happy.

He was wearing a cute apron, and it looked absurd.

Yasmeen was trying not to laugh, but she couldn’t hold it in. She then started to laugh heartily.

Lucas glanced at her and said casually, “Wash your hands, food is ready.”

“Okay!”

But Yasmeen did not really go to wash her hands, but ran up to Lucas and grabbed a piece of celery
from behind, and put it in her mouth.

Lucas frowned, and he said, “Wash your hands first. Nobody is going to take your food away from you.”

“You don’t understand, this makes the food taste better.”

Yasmeen then noticed that Lucas was staring straight at her. His luminous eyes gave her a shiver
down her spine.



“Okay, okay. I’ll go wash my hand, alright?”

“You’re not allowed to sit at the table until you wash your hands.”

What Lucas said made Yasmeen slightly disheartened.

“How could you say that?”

“If you’re not happy, you’re welcome to order delivery.”

Lucas wasn’t giving her room for discussion. Yasmeen felt a bit morose, she made a wry face at him
and ran away the moment Lucas looked back, like a bunny running away from its prey.

But she didn’t notice the affectionate look in Lucas’ eyes and his loving smile.

Yasmeen took a deep breath when she got to the bathroom.

He was her boyfriend now, so why should she still be afraid of him?

She was afraid of not being able to get together with him back then, so why should she still be afraid of
him right now?

Yasmeen thought that she was too easy.

When she got out later, she should try to put up a front.

She washed her hands quickly while being lost in her thoughts. Suddenly, she was stunned by a
thought.



Lucas didn’t even turn around to read her lips just now, but he had a normal conversation with her. Did
that mean that his ears have recovered?

“Lucas, can you hear again?”

She purposely chose to stand and talk behind Lucas. She waited patiently, but Lucas didn’t answer her.

Was she wrong?

She felt puzzled and was discouraged. Suddenly, Lucas answered, “Yeah, I can hear again.”

Yasmeen looked up abruptly and thought that she was hearing things. She quickly said, “What did you
say?”

Lucas brought out the last dish and said nonchalantly, “How dare you use acupuncture on me when
you’re not even confident in your skills? You’re lucky that I let you experiment on me, others would’ve
run away already from the beginning.”

Yasmeen’s face was twitching.

This bastard was literally a pain in the ass!
