Chapter 1734 She Actually Climbed the Wall

"I don't know anything."

Lucas instantly became serious, as if he wasn't the one Morty had just been talking and laughing with.

Morty's stomach ached in exasperation.

"Go down and get me a glass of water."

Lucas could also see that Morty was not feeling well, so he got up in a hurry and walked out.

Over the years, Morty had been in a high position and had actually had quite a few hidden illnesses,
yet he could not let the outside world know. And he was only one of the few people who knew about the
matter.

Seeing that Morty's face was pale and sweat was oozing from his forehead, Lucas didn't dare delay.
When he got downstairs, Michele had already handed Lucas the warm water.

"My dad's stomach is acing again?"

"Yes, do you have any medicine?"

"In my room. Just wait a moment."

Michele quickly ran back to her room, and Lucas, who had always followed her in, now felt it was
inappropriate. After all, he had a girlfriend now.

The corners of Lucas's lips curled up slightly at the thought of Yasmeen. But when he thought that
Morty didn’t seem to be in a good mood, he stopped smiling again.

When Michele came out with the medicine, she saw Lucas standing there motionless with an indifferent
look on his face. Her eyes couldn't help but darken while she felt a little bad.



"Here, I guess my dad still has something to say to you. I won't be going up."

"Okay."

Lucas nodded and took the medicine from Michele's hand, then lifted his feet and went upstairs.

Morty was already spasming from the pain, and Lucas quickly shoved the pills into his mouth before
pinching his nose and pouring him a mouthful of water.

Lucas was the only person in the world who had the guts to do that to Morty.

Morty choked and coughed. He glared at Lucas, but Lucas backed off as if he hadn't seen it and sat
there with a smile on his face.

Morty had a hard time calming down and said with a huff, "You've got a lot of nerve, kid. Aren't you
afraid of me ..."

"No, Uncle Morty. I'm taking a holiday."

Lucas' sudden words caused Morty to freeze.

"What? You stirred up such a big mess for me, and now you're talking about taking a holiday? That
hostage is now clamoring to see you. What are you going to do?" |

Lucas's brow furrowed slightly.

Penny was just looking for him because she liked him. He didn't want to bother with a patient now that
he had a girlfriend.

Thinking about it, Lucas said indifferently, "The medical bills are on me. If that’s not enough, even her
nutrition fees are on me and I will hire the best doctors and caregivers for her. Of the rest, I can do
nothing."



"Aren't you afraid that she'll say you're despising her with your money?"

"No. What do I have to fear now?"

Lucas smiled bitterly. He could never have imagined that his military career could have gone so wrong.

But what went wrong went wrong, and he would take the blame.

"Uncle Morty, I know it's hard for you, and I know what's being said about me out there. You tell me to
stay here, and I'll stay here. But will you take the people away? I promise I won't go anywhere. With all
these people here, isn't it obvious to tell people I'm here?"

Lucas' comment did make Morty react instantly.

He hadn't really asked Lucas to stay here to keep him under house arrest, but to draw that man out.
When he heard Lucas say that, he said with embarrassment, "I don't feel comfortable with you being
here alone with your ears still deaf. How about this? Let Michele stay here with you."

"Let her go. I can't give her what she wants. Uncle Morty, I really only think of her as a sister. Even
without Yasmeen in my life, she and I could never have been together. Instead of wasting time with me,
you should let her go back to her post, and Edison can make her feel better."

Lucas put it bluntly.

Morty was slightly flabbergasted.

"Edison? You're talking about Edison Kidd?"

"There are only five people on the base in total. Don't you tell me there's a second Edison on our
base!"

Lucas just rolled his eyes at Morty.



Morty rubbed his nose and said, somewhat incredulously, "He likes Michele?"

"Well, it’s up to Michele though."

"I get it. But you really won't think about being my son-in-law anymore? Lucas, there are many
advantages to being my son-in-law. At least I can ..."

Before Morty could finish his sentence, he was yanked up and thrown outside the room by Lucas and,
he slammed the door behind him.

Michele couldn't help but be a little embarrassed to see her father thrown out by Lucas.

"Dad, I'll go and get you something to eat."

Morty didn't think anything of it. It wasn't like Lucas had been doing this to him for a day or two, and
besides, there was no shame in front of his daughter.

Thinking about Lucas's words, Morty then noticed that Michele's eyes were a little red. He guessed that
Lucas had made it clear and made it difficult for his daughter as well.

Morty was well aware of Michele's affection for Lucas, but who would have expected Lucas not to like
her?

He couldn't see his daughter clinging to just one man, right?

With that in mind, Morty sighed and said, "Alright, Michele, you'd better stop busying yourself. Your
brother is coming home tonight. You pack up and come back with me. Your mother and your brother
haven't seen you for a long time. Let's have a family reunion."

With that, Michele glanced at Lucas's room.

Could Morty not know what was on Michele's mind?

He had cut Lucas out of the family party for the first time. Although it was a little hard for him, Lucas

The people around the villa were instantly removed by Morty.

Lucas stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. His eyes lit up with excitement as he watched each
person get into the cars and leave the villa.

He glanced up at the next door, where there was little light. Only one room was lit up, and the shadow
of the person inside flickered. Lucas's lips curled up slightly as he watched.

He suddenly did the most ridiculous thing he had done in over twenty years, and actually leaped up the
wall, then climbed the balcony opposite and jumped straight up. With his fingers flicking, the floor-to-
ceiling window opened straight away.



Lucas jumped in on one foot, taking Yasmeen by surprise. After all, the sudden appearance of a man
coming through the window without a sound would have surprised anyone. But when she saw that it
was Lucas, her mouth dropped open.

Lucas was actually climbing the wall?

No!

What was he doing?

Even if he was climbing the wall, why was he unbuttoning his shirt?

Yasmeen stood there as if petrified, and watched Lucas walk towards her elegantly.
