Chapter 1022 We Should Love Each Other

It was Fill.

"Boss, Melissa is awake. She keeps crying out, so we all can't sleep well. What should we do?"

A cold look passed over his face.

"You ask me what to do? You've been living the good life for so many years. No wonder you forget how
you were trained."

Samuel's voice was emotionless.

A chill ran down Fill's spine.

During the past few years, Samuel played a role as a good father and husband, and his force kept
hidden. Fill would have thought Samuel became good-tempered and kind. Now hearing Samuel's

After he said this, Samuel hung up.

His wife and daughter were still waiting for him to cook dinner.

Thinking of Nicole and Zoe, Samuel's anger and coldness dissipated at once.

He shook his head with a smile as he remembered Nicole got jealous of Zoe. Then he walked into the
kitchen.



Nicole realized what she had done until she came back to her bedroom.

She did get jealous of her daughter without feeling ashamed.

She sat at the table and saw that Daisy gave her a call, so she called back.

"What's the matter?"

"Ms. Bush, there's something wrong with our entertainer."

Daisy's words made Nicole frown slightly.

"What happened?"

"It's about Rebecca Rees. She was adopted. Not long after that, her foster parents had a son. The poor
Rebecca has had a tough time since then. What's worse, they keep asking Rebecca for money.
Rebecca never told us about this. Now her foster parents make a big deal by suing her. Reporters were

Daisy said with irony.

Nicole frowned slightly.

"Is Rebecca the B-list star we signed?"



"She is. When we signed the contract, I wondered why she chose our company, but I didn't give it

terminated her contract because they were fed up with her foster parents."

Hearing what Daisy said, Nicole got to know how to handle it.

Samuel saw his wife putting on a sly grin as he came in, so he asked, "Why are you so happy?"

"It's a secret."

Nicole didn't tell him the story.

She asked, "Is the dinner ready?"

"Yes."

"What dishes did you make?"

"All your favorite except for the coke chicken wings."

Samuel said so to please Nicole.

Obviously, Nicole was satisfied with his answer.

"Well, good job. Next time cook something Zoe likes."

"Alright."

It was difficult for Samuel to be caught between Nicole and Zoe.

Nicole went downstairs with Samuel willingly.

Zoe was sitting at the dining room after washing her hands.

"Mommy, it's time for dinner. You can go downstairs by yourself. Why do you bother daddy?"

"I don't mind bothering my husband."



Nicole showed off that she got married.

Zoe frowned.

"But I mind. If I were daddy, I would be exhausted."

and find yourself a husband."

Nicole took Samuel's arm like a child.

out of Samuel's arms.



Samuel turned a blind eye to the competition between Nicole and Zoe. He put Zoe down at the dining
table.

Nicole said angrily, "When you grow up, the first thing I will do is to marry you off, so that you won't
compete with me."

Hearing Zoe's words, Samuel was so shocked that he spurted out the food in his mouth.

He coughed," Zoe, you want a stepfather?"

Samuel said, "So Mommy can't marry someone else. Okay?"

"OK."

"Anyway, your daughter is awfully nice. I tell you, I will never give birth to a daughter! One rival is
enough for me, I'll go crazy if I have two."

Samuel paused for a moment and said calmly, "Well, no daughter any more. To have such a family is
good enough for me now. You will suffer a lot if we have another child. It's much better to spend some
time with you than to exhaust myself taking care of the children."

Nicole seemed contented with Samuel's words.

"You are not too bad, but I still want to have a child if I can. You were not with them when Lucas and
Zoe were still in my womb. If our last baby was still alive, I was almost four months pregnant now."

Nicole felt sad suddenly.

Zoe was a step behind and she asked, "Well, Mommy, where is the baby in your womb?"

Nicole was reluctant to answer her careless daughter.

Would there be anyone willing to marry her?



Nicole was deeply skeptic.

Though a look of sadness flipped through Samuel's face, he made a quick response, "The baby inside
Mommy returned to the heaven."

"Why did it go back to the heaven?"

Zoe blinked her big eyes and asked doubtfully.

"Because all the babies are angels in the heaven. God brings them to their parents. You and your
brother are our angels. Mommy suffered a lot when carrying you, and the baby went back to the
heaven because something came up."

Hearing Samuel's explanation, Zoe nodded in confusion and said, "Will the baby come back?"

"This is a secret."

"Secret. Alright."

Zoe nodded again and no longer dwelled on this question.

"I'm joking, too. Mommy, let's not compete for Daddy, okay? We should love each other."

Zoe added, "Daddy has been with you all day, so can Daddy sleep with me tonight?"

Nicole's mouth twitched again.

She shouldn't be nice to Zoe. Give this little girl an inch and she'll take a mile.

Before Nicole was about to say no, Samuel said with a smile, "Alright, Daddy will sleep with you at
night."

"Hooray! Daddy, you are the best! Awesome!"

Zoe gave Nicole a quick kiss on the face and jumped down to the ground. She couldn't wait to sit
beside her Daddy.

"Daddy, I want to eat the chicken wings."

"No problem."



Samuel gently handed a coke chicken wing to Zoe.

Nicole was depressed.

How could they treat her like this?

Nicole had a hard time waiting her husband to come home. She would have thought that Samuel could
spend more time with her now, but he ended up being stuck with his daughter.

"Darling, I'm injured. Shouldn't you sleep with me?"

Nicole fixed her miserable gaze on Samuel.

Samuel said with a smile, "Well, it is because you are injured that I can't sleep with you. You need a
good rest. Starting from today, I will sleep with Zoe until the wound on your back heals."

Nicole was immediately bummed.
