Chapter 1597 Don’t Be So Stingy

“What? You know my cousin?”

Olivia shook her head and said, “No. But I think I’ve heard of this name before.”

“When? Where?”

“I don’t remember.”

Nicole giggled, “You’ve done so much acting that you’re confused.”

As they went in, Zayn put down his work and walked towards them. Nicole introduced Olivia to Zayn.

Olivia’s elegant behavior impressed him.

They had a dinner together afterwards.

Samuel had been working when Nicole wasn’t around. He didn’t eat much at dinner before so he ate
again with Nicole since she was finally back.

After dinner, Nicole showed her around in the palace and Olivia was quite amazed.

Samuel thought he and Nicole could have some alone time. But then he saw Nicole took her pillow and
went into Olivia’s room. She ditched him.

Seeing that, Lucas laughed, “Dad, you want me to stay with you tonight?”

“Fine.”

He thought Samuel would say no. But he said fine!

Lucas was regretful.



“Can I take that back？”

“No.”

Samuel lifted his collar and dragged him away.

Olivia was surprised to see Nicole but she thought it was sweet for her to do that.

“So you just ditched your husband like that? He might get jealous!”

“Why? He and I can sleep together for the rest of our life. But some other man will be with you in the
future and I don’t know if I get to stay with you all night if that happened.”

Olivia felt kind of weird to hear that.

Did she just brag about her love life?

After the long trip and the tour of the palace, Olivia was exhausted and depressed. She instantly fell
asleep.

Nicole was relieved to see her sleep so well.

She didn’t have a dream the whole night.

The next morning, Nicole woke up pretty early. She sneaked out of the room so that she wouldn’t wake
up Olivia.

The moment she got out of the room, she saw Samuel working with his laptop in the living room. She
frowned as she saw that.

“You stayed up all night?”



Hearing her voice, Samuel looked up and smiled, “I slept for a few hours and just woke up.”

Nicole knew why Samuel was working so hard lately. Even though she was mad at him about Jacob,
she still felt horrible to see him like that. After all, he was her husband.

She went over and squeezed his shoulders. She said gently, “It’s not easy to transfer so many
businesses. And the authorities will limit you once they know what you’re trying to do. You...”

“I know. That’s why I wanna transfer the major businesses first before they notice something. As for the
small businesses, it’s harmless to let them stay in the Seapolis City.”

Samuel took her hands and felt something in his heart.

“Sit with me for a while.”

Nicole did what he said.

Samuel felt quite refreshed sniffing Nicole’s hair.

“I’ve talked to Jacob. But now he is stubborn about this and I can’t talk this through. No matter what
choice Olivia makes, I will always be on your side.”

Samuel’s words made Nicole felt so much better.

“I’m not targeting at him. He went over the line this time.”

“I know. But he hasn’t noticed that. I thought he would be mature after all these years.”

Samuel felt pitiful.

If Jacob and Olivia divorced, then Nicole wouldn’t want Samuel to have anything to do with Jacob. And
he also had transferred his properties to abroad. He and Nicole might move to another country and



Jacob would be out of the picture.

Samuel had already thought this through but he didn’t say anything.

Nicole didn’t want to talk about Jacob anymore. She told Samuel to look after himself, which made
Samuel very happy.

They talked for a while and the Nicole got up to see Davon.

Davon just woke up when Nicole came. She seemed kind of mysterious and he was annoyed.

“Didn’t you just come back? When did you arrived?”

“Last night. Davon, can you do me a favor?”

Nicole chuckled as she stared at him.

“Stop smiling like that. Just tell me what it is.”

Davon rubbed her hair and Nicole hurriedly told him something about Olivia. She told him about Olivia’s
pregnancy and blood-coughing.

“The doctor didn’t know what’s going on?”

“Yes.”

That was what worried Nicole most.

“Take her to my lab when she woke up. I’ll check this out.”

“Thanks, Davon.”



Nicole really wanted to give a kiss. But thinking about her husband and Phoenix, she gave up.

She chuckled and left. Davon touched his nose and smiled as he looked in the direction of his
bedroom.

His wife could use some medical help. Olivia and she could do it together.

Thinking that, Davon went straight to his lab.

Nicole made Olivia and Samuel some breakfast. Olivia got up just on time and felt content.

“Great! Yummy breakfast with love in it!”

Samuel seemed a little gloomy.

“That’s mine!”

“Hahaha, Mr. Green, don’t be so stingy! Nicole said you guys have a lifetime to be together. She’s just
spending time with me for a few days. Don’t be so jealous.”

Olivia’s words calmed Samuel down. Now he was happy to share the breakfast with her.

Nicole didn’t say much. After Olivia finished her meal, she took her to Davon’s lab.

“Why are you bringing me here?”

Olivia was confused.

Nicole said quietly, “Don’t think you can hide this from me. How long did you plan to lie to me about
your blood-coughing?”

Olivia’s face went pale but she said, “Even the doctor didn’t find out anything strange, right?”



“And you’re still so cool with it? Are you gonna lie to yourself until the day you die?”

Nicole yelled at her and pushed her to Davon’s lab.

“Davon, I brought her here. See if something’s wrong.”

Olivia glanced at him and found out he looked familiar. And Davon was stunned to see her too. But
then he pretended nothing happened and said, “Hi, I’m Nicole’s cousin, Davon.”

“I’m Olivia.”

Olivia shook his hand and sat down as he told her to.

Davon did some physical exam on her and asked them to wait outside. He seemed grim and serious
when he saw the blood test result.

“And you're still so cool with it? Are you gonna lie to yourself until the day you die?”
Nicole yelled at her and pushed her to Davon’s lab.
“Davon, | brought her here. See if something’s wrong.”

Olivia glanced at him and found out he looked familiar. And Davon was stunned to see her too. But

“?’m Olivia.”
