Chapter 1455 The Surprising Attacks

The martial spirit was caught off guard upon the sudden attack that was hurled at it. Before it could
even react, the Spirit-restricting Disk already hit it. The next moment, countless spiritual marks spread

"I think we should let Miguel try it first," one of the warriors at the King Realm immediately proposed,
trying to ingratiate towards Miguel.

Sword Spirit Sect had a lot of expectations on. Besides, he was the adopted son of the sect leader;
thus, there was a huge possibility that he would inherit the position one day. Hence, everyone wanted
to be on his good side.

"You guys flatter me..." Miguel replied. However, despite what he said, he didn’t really care about them.
At the back of his mind, he thought that he obviously deserved to be treated this way.

to merge with the martial spirit. But not long after, his power was bounced away by the martial spirit.

"What happened? Did I just fail? But I didn't do anything wrong!" Miguel was in disbelief after realizing
that he couldn't match with the martial spirit. He clenched his fist in humiliation and didn’t want to
accept it. After all, it was such a rare opportunity to find and subdue a martial spirit this easily. They
even let him go first just to fail like this.

Even though he forced it repeatedly, the result was still the same. So, he finally gave up and turned to
Tessa. "Tessa, come here. Why don't you give it a try then?" Now that he couldn't acquire the martial
spirit, he just used the opportunity to gain Tessa's favor.

Tessa was the daughter of the city governor, so the rest of them naturally didn't have any objection to
Miguel's suggestion.

"Fine!" Ramon finally agreed. He then released a stream of spiritual power and directed it to the martial
spirit, but to their dismay, it was also bounced away.

"This isn't good. Now, there're only the two of you," Uriel remarked as he stared at Tessa and Rocky.
He was starting to get nervous that no one in their group would really be able to match with the martial
spirit.

"Basil, go for it," Tessa immediately urged him.

"No, you do it. Besides, I can tell at first glance that I won't be a match with this martial spirit," Rocky
answered with a faint smile. He was partly saying the truth because he thought that the martial spirit
looked too ordinary to interest him.

"Well then, I guess I'll try it." Tessa hesitated for a moment before she stepped forward and walked up
to the martial spirit.

Then she put her fingers together and released a stream of spiritual power that immediately shot
towards the martial spirit. To their surprise, as soon as the martial spirit was hit, her spiritual energy
immediately encircled it and made it colorful.



The previously manic and restless martial spirit, which had been bound by the spiritual marks,
gradually calmed down.

"Tessa, you did it. You are a match with this martial spirit!" Uriel exclaimed in elation. As someone who

However, there was still a possibility that the process of merging with the martial spirit couldn't be
completed, so it would solely depend on her effort to accomplish this. Then, under the guidance of
Uriel, she began guiding the martial spirit in front of her into her body. Little by little, it slowly
approached her as it followed her spiritual power.

At the same time, Uriel, Rocky, and the rest of the team surrounded Tessa to ensure that nothing could
interfere with the process.

However, while Tessa was busy luring the martial spirit, they heard terrifying screams that came from

"All of the martial spirits inside this graveyard are connected with each other. Once one of them is

Not long after, a dark green spiritual shadow quickly floated and shuttled through the mist. Since they

that were about to attack them.

In the blink of an eye, the dark green shadow rushed towards them aggressively, like a savage roc. An

shadow.

what to do.

their attention to him and began to chase him.

Upon seeing that he had successfully caught their attention, he hurriedly dashed away from their
current location.

Uriel's face became extremely gloomy. He knew that there was just a very slim chance that Rocky
could still make it back alive after the stunt that he pulled off. At the same time, because Rocky lured
most of the martial spirits away, the spiritual barrier still held on. However, some martial spirits still
