Chapter 1680 Power And Position

The bald man sneered in contempt when he saw Rocky had the guts to challenge him head-on.
Without any hesitation, he flipped his palm and struck the air in front of him with a volley of palm
strikes. In an instant, many palm shadows made from his spiritual power intertwined with each other,
making it hard to distinguish the real palm attack from the fake ones. It was almost impossible for
Rocky to dodge the attacks.

them as if they were nothing and rush straight towards the bald man.

The bald man, being very confident with his own strength, didn't expect this to happen in a thousand
years. He barely had enough time to dodge Rocky's attack, which hit his right shoulder, causing it to
erupt into flames.

"Ah!" His scream was filled with pain and agony as he frantically tried to extinguish the fire. But the
more he tried to put it out, the more intense the flames got.

Seeing he had no other choice, the bald man gritted his teeth and cut off his right arm to prevent the
fire from spreading towards his body.



Everyone who was watching had their mouth hanging wide open. No one expected Rocky to be so
powerful, and they also didn't expect the bald man to cut off his arm in order to save his life.

The fight was suddenly interrupted by a group of guards that came barging in along with two officials of
the leader's mansion.

"Brat, just wait and see. I will definitely avenge my arm!" Seeing how helpless the situation was for him,
the bald man threatened Rocky while he held his amputated arm and left. In a few moments, he
disappeared.

Rocky had no intentions of chasing after him. Instead, he turned his eyes to the two officials of the
leader's mansion.

The two officials were shocked by the chaotic scene that greeted them. Still, they quickly overcame
their shock and ordered the guards to block off the entire area.

"Godly Genius, are you all right? Are you hurt?" One of the officials immediately rushed to Rocky and
cupped his hands respectfully.

Hearing this, the rowdy crowd suddenly fell silent and looked at Rocky in astonishment. They didn't
expect that such an ordinary-looking man would be the newly selected Godly Genius of the Ghost Fief.

"It turns out that the doctor is the Godly Genius!" Grey exclaimed.

The last thing Rocky wanted was to have his real identity exposed to the people. But seeing that they
already knew, he had no other choice than to let out a forced smile.

"Godly Genius!" The next moment, all the people in the slum bowed down before him in chorus.

Even the bandits now showed him respect.



"Get up, all of you!" Feeling a little embarrassed, Rocky immediately waved his hand for them to stand
up.

Those slum people and bandits did as he ordered.

"Are you here for me?" Rocky asked the official in front of him.

"Yes, our leader ordered us to escort you back before dark," the official reported honestly.

"Oh, I see. You came just in the nick of time. Help me arrest all these bandits and send them to Prefect
Ba. Tell him to interrogate them to find out who's behind all of the crimes in this area," Rocky said.

The official then turned to his men and ordered them to catch the bandits.

Since the fugitives already knew of Rocky's real strength, they didn't dare to put up a fight and willingly
surrendered.

Soon, the bandits were escorted away.

"Grey, come here." He then called for Grey.

"Sir, what can I do for you?" Grey was flattered to be summoned.

"Because my identity's been exposed, I'm afraid it won't be easy for me to come back here. I'll arrange
for a doctor to regularly visit the slum. If there are any bandits, tell them this is now the Godly Genius's
territory. If they have any problems with that, they can find me in the leader's mansion," Rocky said. He
knew that he would not be able to come to the slum after today.

"I see, sir." Grey nodded hard to show he understood.

"Take good care of your family. If you need any help, you know where to find me. Goodbye!" Rocky
patted Grey on the shoulder and left with the two officials.



As they walked away, Grey and the people of the slum looked at Rocky in awe and respect.

As soon as they got into the mansion, Rocky was immediately escorted to the meeting hall. There,
Gilbert was sitting in front, waiting for him to come back.

"Leader, what can I do for you?" Rocky asked although he knew the answer.

"If you have something to say about your engagement to the Godly Genius of the Flower Fief, just say
it. You don't have to dilly-dally around," Gilbert said bluntly. He knew what Rocky was thinking.

"Leader, it's not that I have any problem with her. I just don't like my marriage to be controlled by
others," Rocky replied in a calm manner.

"I understand that no one wants to be forced, but it is your duty as the Godly Genius of the Ghost Fief
to ensure the prosperity of our future. Your engagement to her is crucial. If you feel wronged, then I am
sorry. I'll try to make it up to you, but you can't destroy this alliance," Gilbert explained.

"Leader, don't worry. I don't want to destroy the alliance between the two fiefs. As for the engagement, I
can agree,"

Rocky said after much thought.

"Good! It seems that you have figured it out!" Gilbert breathed a sigh of relief. He was anxious Rocky
wouldn't accept the engagement, which might cause discord between them and the Flower Fief.

"But I have one condition." Of course, Rocky wanted something in return.

"If you have any requests, just let me know," Gilbert responded briskly.

"I want everyone under you to obey my orders." The leader was caught blindsided by what he said.



The look in Gilbert's eyes became deep, because he did not expect that Rocky would make such a
request. At least in his opinion, Rocky did not seem to be an ambitious person, and he did not seem to
be interested in power. But now, Rocky asked him to give him the power equal to the deputy leader,
which made him a little confused.
