Chapter 1657 The Mystery Of Rocky

All the members of the Shura Race that were present gasped. Rocky had managed to kill Jonathan in a
single move. All the color slowly drained from their faces.

Rocky was panting as he floated in midair. He had used up all his strength during the fight. Dropping to
the ground, he immediately fell into a coma.

During the battle, the area within a few hundred meters of the door had been demolished by Rocky's
sword. The Shura Race had suffered countless casualties. Now, they stood back hesitantly, afraid to
approach the door again and get hurt further.

Even so, Jonathan's death was all-consuming and they had no interest in fighting.

Meanwhile, Colton gathered the guards and prepared them to retreat.

Then, he rushed to the door, intending to rescue Rocky who was still surrounded by the Shura Race.
Before he could reach him, a few strange lights shone in the sky and Colton shivered. Something was
approaching the door at the speed of a train.

"Oh no! The Shura Race's reinforcements are coming!" Colton's face coated over with worry. The rays
of light carried more power than he and his guards had combined.

He really wanted to save Rocky, but he knew that it would be impossible for him to leave safely while
the reinforcements were there. Therefore, in order to protect the guards and the members of the Di
Clan, he painfully ordered for them to retreat.

Harlan also noticed the lights that were arriving. It knew that it couldn't overcome them so it wasn't
going to risk a battle. Raising its head, it roared towards the sky. Soon, the Legion of Beasts were also
leaving.

In the end, Rocky was left unconscious, lying in front of the closed door.



Before long, the rays of light lowered and landed in front of the door. The leading figure glowed in a
purple golden light. It was so powerful that even Jonathan, who had broken through to the Shura
Realm, wouldn't be able to overpower it. When the light dissipated, a figure wearing a majestic, golden
lion helmet and a black eye mask took its place. His sharp gaze scanned his surroundings.

"Greetings, sir!" The members of the Shura Race that had been brought there by Jonathan looked
fearful when they saw this man appear. They all bent down onto one knee and lowered their heads, not
even daring to make a squeak.

It was Gilbert. He was one of the nine most powerful leaders of the Shura Race. His status was just
below the royal family's in the Shura Race.

Soon, the rest of the rays of light behind him disappeared and several figures, both men and women,
appeared. They all had an air of arrogance about them. The Shura Race's members saw that they
were all at the peak of the Emperor Realm and that one of them had reached the Shura Realm.

They were all valued retainers of Gilbert, and they were completely devoted to him.

"What on earth happened here? How did the door reopen? Where is Jonathan? Bring him to me right
now!" Gilbert ordered. All the commotion of the battle had notified the royal family. Since the door was
under his jurisdiction, Gilbert had to come and investigate.

"Sir, our young master... He's... He's been killed!" one of Jonathan's confidants reported, trembling from
head to toe.

"Killed?" Gilbert's face dropped. He hesitated. The retainers looked at the confidant with wide eyes.

Jonathan was a reliable, strong retainer that Gilbert used regularly. A few years ago, the royal family
ordered Gilbert to suppress the spiritual race and the human race, which were becoming more and
more powerful. To make things easier, he gave Jonathan an important yet highly confidential mission.



Jonathan had snuck into the human race and disguised himself as Canaan to create a war between the
spiritual race and the human race. He had been doing a fine job until he crossed paths with Rocky.

Now, the sudden death of Jonathan, who was disguised as Canaan, the young master of the Sky-
Suppressing Mansion, was going to make Gilbert's plan much harder.

"What happened?" Gilbert snapped.

Jonathan's confidant explained everything that had occurred in great detail. Then, he pointed his figure
at Rocky who was lying in the distance alone.

Gilbert and his retainers were shocked into silence. They didn't think it was possible for a human being
to open the door to the alien world on his own. It was unimaginable!

They knew that possessing the power of the Shura Race was helpful in opening the door, but even with
that, it would take eight powerful warriors working together and with the sacred weapon of the Shura
Race.

Gilbert, a Shura Race master, tried to wrap his head around it but he couldn't.

Suddenly, Gilbert turned and glared at Rocky. In a flash, he ran to Rocky's side. With a wave of his
hand, a huge force lifted Rocky into the air. It pressed down on him, trying to crush him into pieces.

However, before he could be harmed, an orange light shone from Rocky's body and shielded him. At
the same time, it began to devour the power Gilbert controlled. Gilbert had reached the Shura Realm,
yet he had never seen anything like it. He hurried to reel his power back in to avoid being hurt.

The next moment, Rocky landed on the ground again, and the orange light disappeared.



"How did he do that? He's not even conscious! Why do I feel the holy power of the royal family
radiating from his body?" Now, the look on Gilbert's face was even more shocked than when he had
heard that Jonathan had died. He had wanted to kill Rocky, but was stopped by that pesky orange light.
From the orange light, he had clearly felt the holy power of the royal family of the Shura Race.

Gilbert was sort of a member of the royal family, but he was not a part of the pure royal bloodline.
Therefore, he didn't possess the holy power that the orthodox royal family had. Only a few members of
the royal family with pure blood were lucky enough to be able to use it.

It enraged him that a member of the human race could get his hand on it.

Then, Gilbert's eyes landed on the Mystical Dragon Sword lying forgotten next to Rocky. Lifting his
hand, he summoned it to him. After he observed carefully, his face changed again, as if he had
recognized the origin of the sword.

"How did the lost holy treasure of the Shura Race reappear in this world? How did it get into the hands
of a human with the royal holy power? Who on earth is he? What can he do?" Frowning, he looked
down at Rocky who was lying on the ground.

When they saw Gilbert's expression change, the retainers behind him also wondered what had made
their master so pale. Gilbert had been through a lot, and none of them made him act like that.

"Aldo." Gilbert turned around and called out after thinking for a while.

A beautiful man wearing a red robe walked out, cupped his hands, and asked, "Yes? What can I do for
you, sir?"

"I want you to take him back to the Ghost Capital and let Esteban examine his injuries. Then send him
to the Rejuvenation Hall and guard him," Gilbert ordered.



"The Rejuvenation Hall?" Aldo hesitated. The other retainers exchanged looks. They were also greatly
surprised.
