Chapter 1918 He Was Cured

"Spiritual Emperor Jeffrey, it's true that Spiritual King Ryan is seriously injured. But now, he has a slim
chance of surviving. Rookie did say that he will do his best to cure your nephew. Why don't we just let
him give it a try?" Alex suggested, trying to appease the indignant Spiritual Emperor.

Although he was still hesitant, Jeffrey restrained his anger.

When Rocky saw that Jeffrey simmered down, he took the longest black needle he had and pierced it
into Ryan's chest. It went through his heart and stopped at the main meridian on his back. Apparently,
this needle was for the protection of Ryan's heart.

He then carried out a series of acupuncture treatment right away, until there were black needles
pierced all over the Spiritual King's body.

"Now, I'd like to ask for total silence while I'm treating him. If I get distracted even for a bit, my efforts
may fall short of success," Rocky advised the entire hall in a serious tone. Then, he gathered his
spiritual power into his hands.

In the blink of an eye, his ten fingers released the spiritual power like thin threads to connect all the
magic needles in Ryan's body.

While the members of the Wankong Clan watched Rocky, astonishment painted their faces as they saw
for the first time how Rocky manipulated the needles via his spiritual power.

Despite being famous for their excellent medical skills, the Wankong Clan seemed completely
dumbfounded at Rocky's needle skills.

They were quite familiar with the medical skills that hundreds of different sects and schools had, so
they had seen countless needle techniques and their various uses. Nonetheless, the one that was
manipulated by spiritual power was definitely rare.



Although they were in a daze, they were still filled with doubts. Many of them still thought that Rocky
was just bluffing, since they believed that it was impossible to cure the Spiritual King with such tricks.

The members of the Wankong Clan watched closely until they realized that a couple of hours had
already passed.

They were growing a little impatient, but still tried their best to keep quiet as Rocky had requested.

After another couple of hours, Rocky stopped.

He breathed a sigh of relief, quickly removed the black needles from the Spiritual King, and then put
them into his needle bag.

Rocky turned around and finally spoke. "It's done."

"Done? Do you mean to say that you've already cured the Spiritual King's wounds?" Alex could not
contain her surprise when she heard Rocky speak after a few hours.

"Is there a problem?" Rocky asked rather indifferently.

"You can't be serious! How can he be cured that quickly?!" Jeffrey could not believe what just
happened.

When everyone ascertained that Rocky had indeed finished the procedure, they all gasped.

"Well, you can just go and see for yourself," Rocky replied calmly even though he was feeling annoyed.

Richard then patted a senior elder. In that instant, the elder walked toward the Spiritual King to examine
his body using spiritual power.

As the elder checked, his eyes widened. He then exclaimed, "It's true! All his meridians have been
repaired. This is incredible!"



After the elder announced the recovery of the Spiritual King, everyone was stupefied. They focused
their eyes on Rocky.

"That's great, Rookie! How did you do it?" Alex couldn't help but feel excited. Although she was rooting
for Rocky, even she had some doubts if he could come through.

"It's a measly medical skill handed down from my family," Rocky responded modestly.

However, the members of the Wankong Clan in attendance gave no credence to it. They knew that his
needle technique surely came from a famous master.

The only problem was that they had never heard of such a powerful needle technique in the spiritual
race.

"Spiritual Emperor Jeffrey, it seems that Rookie has kept his end of the bargain. Now that your
nephew's meridians have been cured, I think this matter should be over and done with. What do you
think?" Alex promptly reminded Jeffrey.

"While it's true that my nephew has been cured, I still think it's only right that he receives some kind of
punishment for hurting Ryan in the first place." Jeffrey was still unwilling to give up. The only reason
why he had agreed to let Rocky treat his nephew was because he was certain that Rocky would not be
able to cure him. In this way, he thought he could increase his punishment. To his dismay, the young
man had actually succeeded.

"Spiritual Emperor Jeffrey, you might be forgetting that we have made a deal." Of course, Alex felt
disappointed that Jeffrey seemed to be brushing off their earlier agreement.

"Young master, it's not unreasonable that he gave my nephew the treatment that he needed. After all, it
was that outsider who injured him in the first place. What I will not tolerate is his disrespect towards me.



He must pay the price." Obviously, Jeffrey would not back down. He wanted to make sure that Rocky
knew his place.

Even so, Rocky had no trace of trepidation at all.

"Spiritual Emperor Jeffrey, I believe there is no need to go that far. It's better to treat others with grace
whenever it's possible." Richard tried to mediate as soon as he could.

"Chief, if this news spreads out, I'm sure the public will not like it. I'd rather you don't help this kid like
this." Jeffrey challenged the patriarch unhappily.

Richard's face darkened as he found himself in a conflict. It was not good for the clan to annoy Jeffrey
since his high status had earned him many admirers. In the same way, offending Rocky would not be
wise since he had become an important member to their clan.

Even Vivian believed that Jeffrey went overboard, so she briskly expressed, "Spiritual Emperor Jeffrey,
if you're really so contentious that you can't let bygones be bygones, I'm afraid things won't end well for
you."

"And who's this brat trying to threaten me?" Jeffrey spat. Of course, he didn't take Vivian seriously.

"If you're so eager to take me on, just do it. No need to find so many excuses. I don't care if you're a
Spiritual Emperor. I've never been afraid of anyone since I was born." Rocky declared. It irked him that
Jeffrey was so unbelievably high and mighty that he couldn't bear to swallow the insult. If he still
refused to give in, Rocky decided that he would just beat him up.

Since Rocky did not beat around the bush when he spoke, it naturally provoked Jeffrey's bad temper
that he sent Rocky a direct hit.



What was strange, however, was that Rocky didn't dodge. Everyone wondered if Rocky meant to take
the blow, or if he was too frightened to move.

Meanwhile, just as Rocky was about to suffer a beating, a figure appeared out of nowhere, along with
several streams of spiritual light. Eye-catching explosions followed as the spiritual light fell on the
ground one after another.

Only when the light dissipated did Jeffrey realize that his fist missed his target. Apparently, Rocky and
the figure were no longer there.

"It seems you really want to fight. Well, then, I won't lose to you!" Earlier, Vivian caused the light
explosions.

She knew that Rocky's real strength should not be exposed just yet, so she had to fight instead.

"Oh? You really have the guts to come up against me, huh? Let me demonstrate to you why that's a
bad idea." Jeffrey had turned even more livid when Vivian made him miss his target, so he planned to
kill her as well.

Alex realized that they were not going to stop unless someone stepped in, so she hastily reproached
Jeffrey, "Spiritual Emperor Jeffrey, I have personally chosen these two to join our clan. If you wish to
attack either one of them, you must face me first."

"Y-Young master!" Jeffrey did not expect that Alex would do so much as to protect these two outsiders.
