Chapter 1949 The Biggest Loss

The representatives of the four other clans were at a loss. None of them had expected to see Alex and
her team come out of the Ethereal Valley first, and they couldn't get their heads around how the
Wankong Clan did it.

Meanwhile, it triggered dissatisfaction among them. They all felt that something wasn't right.

They went ahead and approached the patriarch of the spiritual race to protest.

Rocky and Vivian also showed respect through a salute.

"Are you the young master of the Wankong Clan?" the patriarch asked in a flat tone.

"Yes, I am," Alex confirmed with a nod.

"Then, who are these two?" The patriarch shifted his gaze to Rocky and Vivian. He felt that there was
something different in their auras, but he couldn't tell what it was.

"They are Spiritual Kings from our clan," Alex replied.

"Tell me, how did your team manage to come out so soon? Did you wait for the exit to open before the
time limit ended?" the patriarch interviewed further.

Bemused by the question, Alex, Rocky, and Vivian exchanged glances with raised eyebrows.

Alex then looked at the patriarch and responded candidly, "Patriarch, we'd be glad to tell you that it was
due to our own strength that we all broke out of the encirclement and arrived at the teleportation array



first."

"Is that so?" No matter how much the patriarch wanted to look and sound convinced, he did turn up his
nose. Apparently, he found Alex's answer rather dubious.

"I understand everyone's skepticism, but you can ask the spirit warriors of the other clans when they
come out later if you need more affirmation," Alex offered calmly.

"Very well. Let us wait for them." The patriarch nodded in agreement.

A moment later, the Spiritual Emperors, and the spirit warriors from other clans also walked out of the
Ethereal Valley.

As soon as they stepped out, their eyes fell on Rocky and his companions, and they stared at them
with resentment.

Then, Jeffrey came out with the rest of the Spiritual Emperors of the Wankong Clan, followed by the
Spiritual Emperors of other clans.

The last team to return was from the Lingji Clan.

The patriarch scanned all their faces before he spoke. "Now that you're all here, let me ask you
something. Do you have any objections to the fact that the Wankong Clan is the first to leave the
Ethereal Valley, and therefore winning the first place?"

The Spiritual Emperors and spirit warriors of the four clans looked at each other. Indeed, the Wankong
Clan was the first to break out of the encirclement and walk out of the Ethereal Valley, so they had no
objection to this fact. Nonetheless, they couldn't simply come to terms with it since the Wankong Clan
was supposedly the weakest among them with regard to overall strength. They couldn't believe that the
weakest clan would turn up first. No one was more disappointed in them than themselves.

an end. I believe that those who can leave the Ethereal Valley will become the future elites of the
spiritual race. Of course, we also have to mourn for the unfortunate. Their sacrifices for the spiritual
race will not be in vain," the patriarch soon announced.

He continued, "Since the Wankong Clan has won the first place, you will get three spiritual treasures
and ten cultivation pills at the Emperor Realm. I look forward to your persistent efforts, and I hope you
don't let the parliament and myself down." Then, he ordered people to hand the Wankong Clan their
reward.

Although it wasn't too grand, the Wankong Clan was already satisfied with everything they gained from
this trip.

Meanwhile, the eyes of the Spiritual Emperors and spirit warriors of the other four clans lit up with
greed.

the Ethereal Valley. Which clan would like to report first?" the patriarch inquired.

"I'll go first!" Abdullah volunteered. Having been overshadowed by the Wankong Clan's success, he
wanted to compensate for his bitterness and exasperation with this opportunity to show off the Xiayu
Clan's achievements.

"Alright, go ahead." The patriarch sat back and let Abdullah speak.

"This time, our clan has obtained a total of five spiritual treasures in the Ethereal Valley, and one of
them is a holy treasure. Not only that, two Spiritual Emperors at the primary stage have been promoted
to the medium stage, including myself. Three of our premium-stage Spiritual Kings have broken
through to the Emperor Realm, while five Spiritual Kings at the medium stage have been promoted to



the peak stage." Abdullah declared as much as he could, only leaving out the truth that the holy
treasure that he had mentioned had actually been destroyed by Rocky.

As soon as Abdullah finished his list, the crowd enthused over the Xiayu Clan. After all, their harvest
this year was greater than the previous years.

first time leading a team into the Ethereal Valley, yet you have achieved such a feat. Your father must
be proud of you." The patriarch made sure to praise and encourage Abdullah.

Naturally, Abdullah's face lit up with joy.

Up next were the Bilong Clan and the Hongling Clan. However, due to their teams getting wiped out in
the crystal palace, they lost significant strength to harvest as much as the Xiayu Clan had.

Needless to say, they couldn't even compare themselves to the Xiayu Clan who had gained a lot this
year.

"How about the Lingji Clan, Elder Ruth?" After hearing about the other three clans, the patriarch turned
to strongest of the five clans. The Lingji Clan held an extraordinary status in the spiritual race, so they
had also sent the strongest team to enter the Ethereal Valley. Surely they should have gained a lot as
well.

"Patriarch, our harvest wasn't exactly satisfactory. It is not worth reporting this time," Ruth replied

for them to need help from others. However, they found it unacceptable that Alex and two measly
Spiritual Kings of the Wankong Clan, whom they deemed much weaker than Ruth and the Spiritual
Emperors, saved the members of the Lingji Clan.

The other Spiritual Emperors also stepped forward and attested to what Ruth had said.

"Therefore, in order to thank them for saving our lives, we are willing to give the Wankong Clan half of
what our clan has obtained in the Ethereal Valley," Ruth stated firmly.

Once again, the crowd burst into an uproar. No one had expected Ruth to make such a decision.

Little did they know that the Lingji Clan would have suffered the greatest loss this time if it weren't for
Rocky, Vivian, and Alex.
