Chapter 1854 An Illusion

Rocky guessed that the golden ball was the one responsible for protecting the relics that were left by
the ancestors of the Shura Race.

While he wandered around for some more, Rocky found out that there were no other furnishings inside
the temple aside from the murals that filled the walls.

Therefore, he shifted his attention to the murals and examined them closely. If his hunch was right, the
clue that he needed to find to point him towards the Demon Sealing Palace would be found in these
murals. At a glance, it could be seen that the mural was a panoramic picture of tens of thousands of
people worshipping in front of the temple while a ceremony was being held. However, Rocky noticed
that the people were actually facing towards the southwest of the divine temple. As his eyes shifted in
that direction, he saw that on this part of the mural, a black cloud was drawn, as well as a huge black
hole with bolts of lightning.

As Rocky's eye narrowed, he assumed that the mural vaguely revealed the location of the Demon
Sealing Palace. It was somewhere to the southwest of the divine temple.

Hoping to find some more clues, Rocky looked at the other murals. But after finding nothing, he
decided to leave the temple, thinking that the clue he acquired was already enough.

Not long after, he was reunited with Valeria and Rubygon.

"So, how did it go? Did you find any clues about the Demon Sealing Palace?" Valeria asked as soon as
Rocky came back.

"I think I now have the general location. If we go towards the direction that was depicted on the clue
inside the temple, we might reach the Demon Sealing Palace in no time. However, I'm afraid that as we
get near the palace, it will be much more dangerous," Rocky said in a serious tone.



"I know. But we have no choice but to move forward no matter how dangerous it is. We have to
accomplish our goal," Valeria replied calmly. Even though she was frightened so many times since they
entered the Ghostly Demon Land, she was still eager to continue and complete their mission.

"I am actually saying that you don't have to go with me. You have already done a good job. I can ask
Rubygon to stay here with you while you wait for Princess Layla and the team. In the meantime, I can
proceed alone," Rocky said thoughtfully. He was just concerned about Valeria, and he did not want her
life to be put in danger.

"I don't think so. Rubygon can greatly help you once you encounter several obstacles on the way. If you
go alone, it will be much harder for you. I won't insist on coming with you because I understand that I
may not be of much help anyway. However, you should take Rubygon with you. The task to reach the
Demon Sealing Palace is more important, and you know that. I can stay here on my own while waiting
for Princess Layla," Valeria firmly suggested. She was also worried about Rocky, so she did not want
him to take such a heavy burden all by himself.

However, Rocky would just feel more uneasy if Valeria was left all alone.

Hence, after heaving a deep sigh, he said, "Forget it. You're right. Rubygon will be a great help for me,
but I won't let you stay behind on your own. We will go together. After all, you can hide in my Magic
Spiritual Space if a really dangerous situation suddenly arises." After thinking for a while, he finally
made up his mind and decided that it would be much better if all of them go instead.

Feeling relieved that this was what Rocky wanted, Valeria nodded with a faint smile.

Soon enough, they left the ruins of the Shura Race's ancestors and began to move toward the
southwest, where Rocky assumed that the Demon Sealing Palace would be.

They traveled for two straight days, and as expected, they encountered a lot of trouble along the way.



All kinds of powerful ghostly demons appeared everywhere as they got nearer to the location of the
Demon Sealing Palace. In fact, they were all over the place, regardless if it was day or night.

Therefore, the two were extra vigilant. They could not even close their eyes to rest, and they were just
focused on speeding up to get to their destination. Fortunately, they were mounted at Rubygon's back,
so they could somehow conserve their energy and also save a lot of time.

At this point, they were sure that they were getting very close to the Demon Sealing Palace. They could
already feel an overwhelming evil aura in the direction that they were headed, and there was also an
earth-shaking momentum that could send a shiver down one's spine.

"Odin, look at that!" Valeria suddenly pointed something out as they passed through a valley.

When Rocky looked in the direction where Valeria was pointing, he saw a huge tower-shaped palace
standing among the hills. It was so high that it was as if it supported heaven and earth. The palace was
covered in black clouds, and lightning bolts flashed constantly around it. At the same time, a thick black
fog spread out to its surroundings, giving off a very ominous atmosphere.

"Now, that should be the Demon Sealing Palace," Rocky said coldly. Even though they had finally
found the Demon Sealing Palace, they were not the least happy. The evil aura was so strong that even
if they were still far away, they could already feel it hovering around them. If an ordinary person got to
the palace itself, he would surely go mad.

On the other hand, Rocky was still confident that his holy power and God-killing Sword could protect
him from this extremely malevolent aura. But of course, he was worried about Valeria.

"Don't worry about me. As soon as I feel that I can't bear it, I will tell you," Valeria said, knowing exactly
what Rocky was thinking.



Rocky just nodded and let out a faint smile. Immediately after, his expression got serious again. He
looked at the palace, thinking what they should do next.

Before continuing, they decided to rest for about two hours. After all, they had to be in their best
condition before they reached the palace.

After leaving the valley, they had to go through an area filled with yellow sand again. Just like the first
area that they had been, it was completely void of any life.

The two of them rode Rubygon again for about four hours until they could get near the Demon Sealing
Palace. However, out of nowhere, a strong gust of wind blew up, raising dust and sand into the air.

At the same time, a loud sound was heard just ahead of them. It was as if someone was fighting and
there were roaring clashes.

Hearing this, the two of them felt very confused. After all, they were sure that the other teams shouldn't
have caught up with them yet. Hence, it was impossible that these sounds were coming from the other
teams of the Shura Race.

While the two of them were still in a daze, several enormous ghostly demons suddenly emerged. They
were as huge as mountains, and with every step they took, the earth shook violently.

Seeing this terrifying scene, Rocky and Valeria were even more stunned.

In fact, even Rubygon tensed up. It instantly revealed its white fangs as if it was threatened.

However, something even more inconceivable shocked them afterward. Right after the giant ghostly
demons appeared, a group of powerful warriors in strange clothes also rushed out from the other side.
Rocky could easily sense that they should be close to the God Realm. Then, in a flash, they
surrounded the horde of ghostly demons and released an astonishing spiritual power to take them



down. Just like that, they were able to decimate the horrendous ghostly demons. Even the peerless
masters at the premium stage of the Shura Realm would be incomparable to them.

Seeing this unbelievable scene unfolded before them, Rocky and Valeria were dumbfounded. There
should not be any powerful warrior in this land, but a whole lot of them emerged out of nowhere. Even
the royal family of the Shura Race seemed to have no idea about their existence.

"What the hell is going on? Who are these people?" Valeria could not help but ask, feeling
overwhelmed.

At the same time, Rocky furrowed his eyebrows, sensing that something was wrong with what they
were witnessing.

Then, more giant ghostly demons appeared and fought with the strong warriors. A moment after, their
fight reached the area where Rocky and Valeria were standing. Both of them panicked a little, but no
one dared to act rashly. Rocky summoned the God-killing Sword and drew closer to Valeria, just in
case he needed to protect her.

The next moment, the giant ghostly demons and the strong warriors were already in front of them, and
the domineering aura that both sides emitted enveloped them. However, as Rocky looked intently at
everything that was happening, he noticed that while the fierce battle was vividly occurring in front of
them, the surrounding environment was not changing at all. Hence, he could only come up with one
conclusion—this was all just an illusion.

"Don't move!" Rocky sternly commanded.

Seeing how serious Rocky was, Valeria decided to trust his instincts. Eventually, the ghostly demons
and the strong warriors passed through their bodies as if they were phantoms. But since they could
clearly feel their overwhelming aura, the two still broke into a cold sweat, feeling like they were on the
verge of death.
