Chapter 1563 Chase After

"Come with me!" Before the commander of the spiritual race could react, Rocky sealed him in a bubble
using the spiritual power. Then, the commander was lifted into the air and disappeared with a pop. As a
result of that, the Purple-flaming Phoenix also vanished a few seconds later.

"Our commander has been arrested!" It took quite a while for the soldiers of the spiritual race to realize
what was going on. Once they did, they panicked.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commander Ma and Eunice continued to follow their escape plan. They took
advantage of the complicated terrain to lose the spiritual race's soldiers that were chasing them. Finally,
they all arrived at the designated meeting place.

However, the moment they gathered, the annihilation squad that had been sent by the commander
appeared in front of them.

The annihilation squad was made up of several spirit warriors who cultivated the Spiritual Infant. It was
the same ones who had made Deputy Commander Ma and the others suffer and captured Rocky. Each
of them was holding a cage that contained a small but exceptionally violent, cannibalistic spiritual
beast.

Deputy Commander Ma's and Eunice's faces fell when they saw that they were trapped once again.

"Deputy Commander Ma, take the soldiers and go. I and the other spirit warriors will stay here and hold
them back," Eunice said, lowering into a battle stance.

"No way. It's too dangerous. If you stay here, you will die," Deputy Commander Ma rejected.

"It's better than all of us dying," Eunice said, trying to convince him.

Deputy Commander Ma hesitated, but the enemies acted fast, releasing the cannibalistic spiritual
beasts from their cages.



Before long, the spiritual beasts reached Deputy Commander Ma and the others, instantly rushed into
the crowd, and attacked them.

Some of the spirit warriors, like Eunice and Kye, were able to stop them. However, the spiritual beasts
were very agile, and it was difficult to catch them. Even the weakest of the pack was formidable. The
strongest one was the same high-grade as the one that Rocky had caught before. Soon, neither Eunice
or Kye could do anything to resist them.

A moment later, a figure landed in front of them. A bright, golden light covered his whole body. He
shouted, "Don't panic! I need all the soldiers to form an array! Right now!"

Already feeling less panicked, the soldiers packed closely together and formed an array using their
subconscious minds.

Deputy Commander Ma and the others wore large smiles on their faces because they had seen that
the man who had come to save them was Rocky.

"Deputy Commander Ma, Eunice, and Kye, you must help the others with the array," Rocky ordered
when he saw that the morale of the soldiers was still very low. It needed to be extremely high in order
to properly use the Army-blessing Scroll.

Deputy Commander Ma hesitated. He didn't understand what Rocky was planning on doing, so Eunice
turned to him and said, "Listen to him. He has a good strategy up his sleeve."

Then, led by Deputy Commander Ma, the others joined the soldiers who had just formed the array. The
moment that they did, the morale instantly soared.

Next, Rocky selected and chanted a passage of the Buddhist Spell from the Army-blessing Scroll. After
the Buddhist Spell was said, a vicious Buddha shadow dropped from the sky and formed a protective
shield around the soldiers, enveloping them inside the array.



The pack of spiritual beasts that were attacking the soldiers were catapulted from the array. After that
happened, they were unable to break through the Buddha shadow.

Deputy Commander Ma's and the others' eyes were wide as they saw the Army-blessing Scroll that
Rocky performed settle down around them. In all their lives, they had never seen a spiritual skill as
powerful as that one.

Even the spirit warriors from the spiritual race were surprised. None of them had any idea that Rocky
was the one who did it.

"I have captured your commander. You'd be smart to retreat as soon as possible!" Rocky shouted at
them. Then, once he was happy with the state of his soldiers, he removed the commander of the
spiritual race from the Magic Spiritual Space.

When they saw the commander of the spiritual race alongside Rocky, Deputy Commander Ma and the
others were even more shocked.

"How did you manage to catch him?" Eunice blurted out.

"Are you really so surprised, Eunice? Of course, I have defeated him. Otherwise, he would have never
chosen to follow me." Rocky smiled.

The sound of several whispers floated from the area where the spirit warriors from the spiritual race
stood. They couldn't take their eyes off of their captured commander.

Suddenly, one of them stepped forward and said, "Hand over our commander."

"I can give him back to you, but only after we leave," Rocky responded.

"None of you can leave." One by one, the spirit warriors crossed their arms over their chests. They had
no intention of letting them run away.



"Then I have no choice but to kill your commander," Rocky shot back, exerting more strength and
grasping onto the commander.

"Just kill me. None of us fear death!" the commander of the spiritual race exclaimed.

Rocky hadn't expected that the commander would treat life as something meaningless. As he looked
back at the spirit warriors, he found that they were also sneering at him.

Soon, several of them stepped forward and prepared to make a move.

Now, Rocky knew that he had lost the ability to reach an agreement with them through negotiation. But
fortunately, the morale of his own troops was high and he could use it to perform the "Road Goes Ever
On" which was also from the Army-blessing Scroll.

He closed his eyes and chanted, "It's a long way to go. I want to travel ten thousand miles with the wind
behind my back..."

In an instant, everyone in the array felt their bodies become as light as feathers. Moments later, their
feet left the ground as if they could fly.

"Leave! I'll join you in a minute!" Rocky ordered.

Deputy Commander Ma seemed to be unable to resist the order. The next moment, he led the whole
army into the sky. His speed was so fast that none of the spiritual warriors of the spiritual race could
believe their eyes.

"Because you chose not to save your commander, I will kill him." As soon as Rocky finished speaking,
the Mystical Dragon Sword in his hand crept forward.



Seeing it, the spirit warriors couldn't just sit there and do nothing. They turned around and rushed at
Rocky.

Rocky grabbed the commander by his shoulders and threw him towards the spirit warriors. By the time
they had caught their commander, Rocky had already disappeared.

"Damn it! I didn't think they would really run away. You men are so useless!" the commander scolded
as he straightened up.

The spiritual warriors didn't know if they should laugh or cry. In their eyes, it was their commander who
was useless. He was the one who had been taken hostage by the human spirit warriors.

However, they just nodded their heads and looked at him with great respect flickering in their eyes.

With the help of the Road Goes Ever On, Deputy Commander Ma and the others soon reached a safe
area in the Crescent Gorge. Once they landed, the power of the Army-blessing Scroll vanished.

"What mysterious skill did Basil use that got us out of danger so fast?" Deputy Commander Ma asked.

"Who knows!" Eunice feigned cluelessness, but she knew it was the power of the Army-blessing Scroll.
However, what she did not expect was for Rocky to use it so skillfully.

As Deputy Commander Ma filled with further confusion, Rocky appeared.

"Basil, thanks to you, we escaped from danger! Thank you so much!" Deputy Commander Ma said
gratefully.

"It's too early for that. The troops of the spiritual race will hunt us down and try to enact their revenge.
We have to leave the Crescent Gorge as soon as we can. Once we're out, they can't touch us," Rocky
informed them in a serious voice.



Deputy Commander Ma nodded quickly and said no more. Then, he gathered up the soldiers to take
them out of the Crescent Gorge.

By dawn, they had exited the barriers of the Crescent Gorge and there were no spirit warriors from the
spiritual race chasing them.
