"I'll tell you if you can defeat me," Rocky replied, glaring at Byford with determined eyes.

When he heard that, Byford's face twitched a little. But because Rocky had taunted him, he wouldn't
bother being polite.

He ordered his soldiers to form an array, intending to use the mysterious military arrays to suppress
Rocky's troop of one thousand members.

Although Byford only had three thousand soldiers, they were full of momentum after launching their

"Listen carefully and don't forget what I'm about to tell you. My name is Basil. I won't kill you since you
are a talented man. Take your soldiers and leave! Don't let me see you again." After saying that, Rocky
withdrew his Mystical Dragon Sword.

"Basil? You are the human who defeated Commander Isabel!" The confusion and surprise was clear in
Byford's eyes. He hadn't expected to be fighting against the mysterious human who had defeated the
commander who was most skilled at the mysterious military arrays in the spiritual race.

Rocky sneered in response.

However, Byford saw something else behind Rocky's smile. Quickly, he cupped his hands and ordered
his army to retreat because he knew that it would be pointless to fight to the death with Rocky.

After leading the army back to the base camp of the spiritual race, Byford immediately reported what
had happened to the commander of the spiritual race's army.

However, the commander shot down all of his excuses. "I don't care who he is. He may have defeated
Commander Isabel, but he can't defeat me. Pass on my military order. Prepare everyone to fight!"

Byford shook his head and sighed when he realized how stubborn the commander was.

After that, the commander of the spiritual race departed with the whole army to fight against Rocky's
one thousand soldiers.



In total, there were more than twenty thousand soldiers, easily outnumbering Rocky's army.

However, Rocky wasn't scared to see them arrive. By that time, he had waited long enough for the
deployment. Soon, the spiritual race's army would pay the price for its reckless decision.

"Kill the entire human army!" the commander of the spiritual race ordered.

Wasting no time, thousands of spiritual soldiers rushed towards Rocky's soldiers like a tide, and they
were surrounded within minutes. As they looked around, they saw many powerful spirit manipulators
from the spiritual race.

"Hallucination Array!" Rocky ordered, wanting to change their current array.

Within seconds, his soldiers had formed a new array.

The Hallucination Array was an illusionary array and it was more powerful than the previous military
arrays he had used. It could both attack and defend. And when it was faced with unfavorable odds, it
could cause the enemy to hallucinate and sap their combat power.

During the process of attacking the Hallucination Array, the soldiers of the spiritual race noticed that all
of their comrades had disappeared. They were battling hard, but they were alone. A strong sense of
helplessness enveloped them, killing their morale.

The Hallucination Array was working. Its illusion affected the vision of the spiritual race's soldiers,
bringing their mind to a new place and creating wild images before their eyes.

Under the influence of the Hallucination Array, those who had been full of momentum immediately
collapsed. Rocky's army had gained the upper hand and their enemies had suffered great losses.

When the commander of the spiritual race saw his soldiers lying slaughtered all over the base of the
array, his face darkened.



"Commander, the array he used is too powerful. Our soldiers are no match for him," a deputy
commander who had struggled in the Hallucination Array reported.

"They are all useless!" the commander cursed, clenching his fists. Suddenly, an idea popped into his
head. He waved the spear in his hand and charged at Rocky's soldiers.

"Thunderbolt Strike!" The commander descended from the sky and went straight into Rocky's troops.
His long spear soared into the sky, where it flipped and stabbed towards the ground. Immediately,
thunder crashed and boomed above all the soldiers, causing many casualties.

In an instant, the Hallucination Array lost its power. The spiritual race's army, which had been under
deep hallucinations, jolted awake.

A frown crossed Rocky's forehead. It turned out that the commander was rather powerful and not
inferior to him like he had thought. So he waved the Mystical Dragon Sword and stepped forward to
fight.

"Are you Basil?" the commander of the spiritual race asked as he glared at Rocky.

"Yes."

"Today, I will take your men back with me and present them to our commander in chief!" The
commander was fully aware that Rocky was the number one target of the spiritual race. The person
that managed to kill him would be rewarded handsomely.

"I'd like to see you try!" Rocky waved his sword calmly.

The commander of the spiritual race roared. He thrust his spear at Rocky and it pierced through the sky
like a comet, directed straight at Rocky's heart.



Rocky didn't show any sign of weakness. He raised his Mystical Dragon Sword and sliced through the
air.

Two streams of spiritual power at the advanced stage of the Spiritual Infant collided with each other
and a huge shock wave resulted, making all the soldiers nearby fall over.

Although they were at the same level of strength, Rocky sensed that his opponent was closer to the
Emperor Realm, likely one step away. Therefore, he focused all of his attention on the battle and used
all the strength he possessed.

While the battle between Rocky and the commander of the spiritual race's army was unfolding, a
human army made up of almost twenty thousand soldiers appeared behind them and launched a
surprise attack.

The spiritual race's army had never expected for the human army that had retreated to come back,
especially with more enhanced fighting power. They were all caught off guard and countless casualties
resulted.
