Chapter 125

Skye Hotel’s first floor had a combined disco and bar. Accompanied by electronic dance music, there
were always people on the dance floor, dancing mindlessly.

Few of the guests were drinking by the bar, and some of them were flirting with the ladies. If they were
a match, they would be seen leaving the bar to get a room upstairs.

It was an adult’s world in a free county. Only one person in the bar behaved differently from the mass of
bodies. .

Jace was drinking glass after glass of whiskey, alone. He reeked of alcohol, despite not appearing to
be drunk.

The bartender checked on him from time to time, and he soon realized that Jace had almost finished
the entire bottle of whisky.

Many people came to this bar to get drunk, but most of them came with company. Jace was the only
lonely one.

This bartender thought that Jace was the most perfect man he had ever seen. He held his whiskey
well, and the manner in which h e drank his whiskey looked almost elegant. It was as though he was
some prince or an aristocrat.

Such a fine man sitting all by himself attracted quite a number of girls.

The bartender mentally did the math. Half an hour from the time Jace had ordered his first drink, six
girls had approached him. It averaged to a girl every five minutes. Of course, none of them had
interested him.



Jace did not even bat an eyelid when it came to the women. Nothing they did or said elicited the
slightest response. All he said was, “Leave.”

The bartender shook his head and theorized that Jace must either be gay or some woman had deeply
hurt him.

Drinking was a common way to socialize, and Jace had to do a lot of it for his job. Unless he was
depressed or he needed an outlet t o release some feelings, Jace would have never drunk this much..

Tonight was one of those nights. Jace needed to get drunk. He felt he would not get through the night if
he did not drink.

If he did not get drunk, he might even head over to Rosa Garden and say, “Who is that man?”

He would never have believed her if she had said that the man was a cousin or relative. Even if he was
a relative of some kind, she should maintain some distance between them.



How dare that man grab her by the waist and throw his arms around her neck in a hug. Even he had
never done that, and he was her husband!

“Clank!” Jace said in a low voice as he slammed the glass on the bartop. “More.”

The bartender contemplated telling Jace to slow down as he refilled the glass. A beautiful lady swished
past him and smiled at Jace. “Hey handsome, try not to drink too much,” she purred.

The wore a red strapless dress, exposing her gorgeous shoulders. Her exposed back, slightly
concealed by her long wavy hair, looked sexy. She had a certain glow about her, and the bartender
could not take his eyes off her.



“You-you are Suki West?” shouted the bartender.

The woman lifted a finger over her lips and shushed him. She winked at him, “Please, keep this to
yourself. I’ve just returned from a n acting gig high up in the mountains. It’s been a while since I’ve
been to the city.”

“Understood!” said the Bartender. It was not the first time he had seen a celebrity, but it was definitely
his first time seeing someone so famous and beautiful. He served her one of his signature cocktails
and surreptitiously slid her a notepad. “Can I please have your autograph?” he asked politely,

Suki smiled and swiftly signed it for him.

Jace did not even bat an eye as he kept drinking,

Suki found it amusing. Never had a man ignored her so thoroughly. She tilted her head, took a sip of
her cocktail, and said, “Hi, are you gay?”

Jace’s eyebrows furrowed as he looked coldly at this woman sitting beside him.

It might have been the alcohol, as the woman looked fuzzy the more Jace looked at her. Her fiery outfit
reminded him of his little devil. Was it her?

His eyes softened. He lifted up his hand to caress that woman’s face. As he was about to stroke her
face, he stopped. Sage had cut her hair after the divorce. This was not Sage!

He withdrew his hand, and his vision cleared. This beautiful woman resembled Sage a little, though her
eyes were sultrier than Sage’s Sage’s eyes were vibrant and clear.
