Chapter 250

Sage slept from afternoon until the next morning. She woke up feeling refreshed and well-rested. It was
the weekend, Leah had planned to stay home and do nothing, but Sage dragged her up to go
shopping. Leah thought Sage was shopping for herself, but Sage was actually shopping for Leah. “It’s
alright, Sage. I have plenty of clothes.” “Those are all clothes with cartoon prints on it, what with Hi Kitty
and Peggy Pig. It’s fine if you’re just wearing them at home, but what about when you eventually start
working? And the pair of jeans you’re wearing is fading as well, it’s time for some new clothes.” ;
Previously, Sage was busy with work and did not time for Leah. Now that she finally had time, she
wanted to give her a complete makeover. Sage shoved a bunch of clothes onto Leah’s hands. “Go try
them on.” Leah held onto the pile of clothes as she sent an SOS signal to Hunter who was standing
aside. Hunter chuckled and snapped his finger sassily, “Your sister is right, now’s the time for a
makeover!”

Leah had no other choice but to obey.

Once she got into the changing room, Hunter whispered to Sage, “Miss Norah , you can’t just do
everything and leave me no chance to court her.” Sage sat on the couch and flipped through the
magazine like a girl boss as she glared at Hunter. “You want a chance? Pay for the bills once she’s
done.” Hunter’s lips twitched as he muttered, “Please, don’t do this to me, any of these clothes could
easily cost me my one month’s salary.”

A broke office worker could not afford to pay such luxurious items.

Sage said coldly, “You can’t court a woman without money, go court a mosquito or something then.”



Hunter was speechless.



Why court a mosquito? It’s true that he won’t have to spend money, but he will be wasting blood.

Leah came out of the changing room after each outfit. Sage and Hunter just sat by the couch, nodding
and shaking their heads at times.

Leah felt happy by their approval and sad by their disapproval at first, but eventually turned into an
emotionless model.

After about twenty or so changes of clothes, Sage finally called it a day and pointed to a pile of clothes,
“Please wrap this up for me.” The worker’s eyes sparkled, that was a sweet pot of gold right there, how
lucky for them!

How she wished to be spoiled by a rich lady, too! After leaving the boutique, they went ahead and
bought two more pairs of heels, and three bags. A through and through high-roller, big-spender.

They eventually got tired from all the walking and went into a salon to get Leah a new hairstyle. Hunter
on the other hand carried all the bags to the car. “What hairstyle are you going for today?” A seemingly
professional hair stylist asked.

Leah thought that her long hair was troublesome and wanted to opt for short hair.

Sage, on the other hand, wanted to grow hers out.

Sage’s hair always grows really quickly, thus she always had long, brown-ish hair.

Before she turned eighteen, her mother was really strict and forbade her from dyeing her hair. So, once
she turned eighteen, she started going all out. She even tried plenty of the bold colors. Sage thought
that she was still pretty young and wanted to keep trying new things before she started having the risk
of balding. “This one.” Sage decided on the spot that she wanted a rose red, and requested for an
extension.
