Chapter 551

Yoel could no longer dodge Jace’s cold and frightening glare and finally gave in. “Fine, fine. My father
has been urging me to get married and have a family of my own. I got annoyed and did what I did.
However, Sage didn’t say yes and even wanted to throw her sandals on my face. Women are so hard
to get!”

Laura scoffed, “Wasn’t there a woman who wanted you but was rejected by you?”

Yoel immediately said, “Your situation right now is pretty similar to mine. Stop teasing me when you’re
not any better.”

Laura became listless as soon as she thought of Kane.

She had never been pursued by a man before. When it came to things like that, she was definitely
inexperienced.

All Laura wanted was to treat Kane like a big brother, but Kane insisted on making her his woman.
Laura felt frustrated.

Sigh.

All three members of Team Draco had fallen into their own personal relationship issues at the same
time.

Yoel eventually snapped out of it and went back to their original topic. “Say, Bald Fish.”

Yoel completely ignored Jace’s murderous glare since Jace was weak and bedridden at that moment.
Yoel said fearlessly, “You’re not trying to relive what happened three years ago,



right?”

Jace paused for a second before looking up to the ceiling with darkened eyes.

“I’m not trying to relive it.”

Jace stretched his dried lips and struggled slightly to get the words out. “I’m redeeming

myself.”

Jace wanted to take the opportunity to make up to Sage; he wanted to heal every inch of her broken
heart.

He wanted her not to hate him anymore.

“Those people still aren’t willing to let you go. You have to be careful whenever you’re out and about.”

Kane said grimly to Sage, “I’ll plant some of my most trusted men with you, have them follow you no
matter where you go. Don’t do things alone, do you understand? Call me first thing whenever you’re in
danger.”

Kane was stern, and Sage nodded seriously as she had no intention of toying with her own life. Luther
was deeply concerned.

“We’ve been really low-key, and they were still able to find us. How annoying.”

Sage recalled the man who stared at her behind the glass window with a pair of sinister eyes and a
demonic smile as if she was his prey who would eventually fall into his trap and be eaten



alive.



She was still traumatized by the abduction when she was fourteen years old.

That man would always be the source of her nightmare. Everyone thought he was dead. Nobody had
expected him to still be alive after committing all those heinous crimes.

How unfair that good people die young whilst the evil ones live long enough to cause more harm.

“Luther.”

“Have someone watch Braxton and Zane. Something tells me that Jekyll will definitely look for them.
When my father and mother were killed in the car accident, I had always suspected that someone else
was behind it and had threatened Braxton and Zane to do it. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have had the
guts to do it even though they had the intention.”

Luther’s eyes darkened as he said, “Didn’t you mention that there was another source of power?”

“That other source of power was Jekyll’s enemy, but the fact that Jekyll survived means that

squinted her eyes as her expression became serious. “Maybe they had some sort of agreement with
each other,” Sage added.

The three brother’s faces darkened upon hearing that.

If those two sources of power combined and worked together, that would put Sage in even more
danger.

After a brief silence, Ross uttered, “We’ll continue tracking Jekyll’s whereabouts. I’ll make some
arrangements with Xander and fly you to Yathein. We have to be extremely cautious now as the enemy
is lurking in the dark whilst we’re completely exposed.”

The rest nodded their heads in agreement.



“I’ll inform Seth and Nigel as well so they can be prepared for it,” Kane added. Luther said, “Mom and
dad aren’t here anymore, protecting Sage is our responsibility. Anyone who wants to hurt her will have
to go through us. Don’t be afraid, Sage. We’re here to protect you!”

Sage smiled with relief and said, “Don’t worry, I’m not the weak girl I was ten years ago. Jekyll was
never after my life anyway. All he wanted was my blood and genes, and he won’t get them that easily.”
Sage would rather die than let them get their way!
