Chapter 468

When Ross returned, Sage had just come out from the master bedroom. Luther had
boiled a pot of water and made some tea. He looked at Ross and asked surprisingly, “That was quick
How did it go?” “Nothing much.” Ross said coldly as he turned to Sage, “Where’s the little one?” Sage
responded , “She was just scolded by me and is reflecting on her mistakes in the room. Leave her be
for now.” “Alright.”

Since Sage had already lectured her once, there was no point for Ross to do it all over again. He
understood what kind of person Melody was. She had to figure things out by herself, or else you would
just be wasting your energy on her.

“How was Yoel like?” Sage asked Ross. Ross sat at the corner of the sofa. He took the tea given by
Luther and took a sip. “He said plenty, but in conclusion, he said he’s not going to reject, nor is he
going to be held responsible for it.”

“B*stard!”

Luther was furious as he growled, “What sort of statement is that!”

Sage was not surprised at all. She smirked coldly and said, “That’s just how playboys are like. It’s not
surprising at all. The little one really thought she picked up a rare diamond or something, but she had
no idea how many people had beaten up that prick before.”

Luther chuckled, “That prick deserves way more than getting beaten up! Kane will be here within two
days. We’ll have someone blind him with a burlap sack and beat the living sh*t out of him, so he knew
who not to mess around with!”

Ross looked up coldly and uttered, “It’s not like he came onto Melody himself. It was Melody who clung
onto him. What rights do you have to beat him up?” “Well, I…” Luther muttered under his breath whilst
thinking to himself, ‘I just wanted to beat him up. That’s enough of a reason.’ “Ross is right. If we do



anything now, it’ll be our fault.” Sage then continued, “But if they really got together and Yoel breaks her
heart, we’ll be able to beat him up to a pulp openly and reasonably so.” Luther turned around and
looked confused and dumbfoundedly at Sage. Ross responded, “That’s right.” Luther then turned his
head towards Ross again, at a loss of words.

“No, wait. Are you guys saying that you’d allow Melody to be with that prick?” Luther was utterly
confused.

Sage and Ross looked at him and said together, “What choice do we have?” Luther pursed his lips and
thought, maybe there really was no way to stop them. Luther could tell that Melody had hit puberty and
was in her rebellious phase. She must be fantasizing about love, romance, and whatnot. The more they
tried to stop her, the more she wanted it.

However, how could they allow them to be together? What if Melody got hurt both emotionally and
physically?

Before Melody could get hurt, Yoel had already gotten himself injured. After finding out that Sage was
staying in the Looming District, Jace got into the car with Yoel and ordered the driver to drive faster.
Yoel was sitting in the backseat, and he was going insane from laughing. The driver was struggling to
hold onto the steering out of fear. Jace’s head was buzzing as he growled, “Can you shut up for a
second?” “Hahahahah…” Yoel laughed hysterically, “I’d like to do that as well… Hahahaha, but can…
Hahaha… Can I?”

Yoel held onto his abdomen in pain with the bag of pistachio tightly clamped in his hand. “What the f*ck
is this thing? Hahahahaha…”
