Sage remembered just this morning he had to be observed in the hospital for a few more days.

“No,” said Jace as he turned off his screen and smirked, “I ran out from the hospital.”

Sage was speechless. She gave Zayne a side-eye and asked, “Is this how you take care of your
boss?”

Zayne let out a dry laugh and said, “I can’t tell him what to do.”

Sage signaled for the rest of her staff to go home and looked Jace in the eyes. “Follow me.”

“Where to?” Jace asked as he stood up.

“You wanted my fish stew, yes?”

Jace never would’ve thought he would be in the seafood bazaar with Sage.

This was Salem City’s largest seafood bazaar, and it was busting with crowds even in the evening.
Sage hadn’t been here for the longest time, but it was no stranger place to her. She had changed into
sneakers as the seafood bazaar can be quite muddy.

This was Jace’s first time in such a place. He was put off by the fishy scents, but Sage looked right at
home. She even haggled prices with the store owners. She fished out a large seabass from the water



tank and said, “I want this one.”

This was the first time he’d seen her in her element.

They went around the entire bazaar and got meat, vegetables, and more. Jace, Zayne, and Hunter all
helped her with the bags.

Jace was the only one happy to do it. He longed for a day like this, just happily shopping around with
Sage.

The vegetable store owner passed the last packet of spinach to Sage and asked, “Wow, you bought a
lot of stuff. Are you cooking for your man?”

Sage didn’t want to disclose her life details to strangers, so she just nodded.

Jace was delighted as he thought Sage was opening up to him. His facial expressions softened. The
store owner thought Sage and Jace were a matching couple, and she became curious.

She spoke in a thick Salem accent and said, My dear, you are blessed indeed. I could tell your man
loved you very much, his eyes were glued to yours.”

Sage kept quiet and she let out a faint smirk, and she thought, you are not very good at telling.

Jace laughed and said, “I’m the blessed one to have married a capable wife.”

The store owner laughed and joked, “You have to hold her tight and never let her go. There are plenty
of good men in Salem. I say the two young men behind you have eyes on her!”



Zayne and Hunter looked at each other both speechless. Why did this seller have to cause trouble?

Sage brought Jace back to Skye Hotel. He was staggered. “You want to cook in here?”

Sage said, “The hospital is lack tools and condiments, you have more over here. Yoel mentioned that
he was craving my food. I might as well cook once for both of you,
