Chapter 443

Sage was completely rendered speechless by her two brothers.

Did they think that they were stand-up comedians?

Ross, on the other hand, was satisfied with their reactions. He felt as if he finally found someone who
understood how he felt and shared his feelings.

The three guys started judging and criticizing Yoel. They even came up with a plan to put an end to
Emily’s silly crush. Their ideas were more terrifying than the others.

“Emily cooped up in the house for too long and everyone at the school of Samuels is all decent and
well-mannered people. Hence, Emily would of course see someone as sly and cunning as Yoel to be
special.” “I don’t mind if Emily gets into a relationship at this age, but it matters who the guy is right?
Yoel’s a notorious player and I even heard rumors that he changed 29 girlfriends in just one month.
That’s a different girlfriend every other day, ain’t it?”

Sage asked, “What about that one day? Where could he be doing that one day?”

No one cared to respond to Sage. “This is too dangerous. Even though it’s normal for a lady to get
herself involved with some bastards, I won’t let it happen to the ladies in our family. The ladies in our
family are too soft hearted. Sage is a good example!”

Sage could not help but defend herself. “Hey, leave me out of this!”

Once again, she was ignored.

Luther added, “What do you think if I meet up with Yoel and warn him to stay away from the kids of our
family?”



Kane snorted, “Why the fuss? I could easily get some of my men and teach him a lesson. I’ll make sure
he knows which are the ladies he shouldn’t lay his hands on.”

Ross added, “You guys can go ahead first. If all plans fail, I will pay a visit to his father in Riverside City.
I’m sure that Brad Fulton would gladly agree to keep an eye on his son.”



Sage found it ridiculous yet at the same time hilarious at the sight of how her brothers took the entire
situation too seriously.

Who claimed that only women would act that way? Men were just the same.

Sage went downstairs to check on the kitchen to find Jim who stood absentmindedly in front of the
cooking stove.

“You’re going to burn the dish with this fire this big.”

Jim was jolted back to his senses at Sage’s reminder. He quickly adjusted the fire and when he tried to
open the lid, Jim burned his finger.

“Run it under cold water,” Frowning, Sage grabbed his hand and put it under the running cold water.

Staring at his finger that turned red, Sage was worried. “Is everything okay? Why are you being so
absentminded?” Jim pulled into a smile even when he was scolded. “It’s alright.”

Sage did not let him go near the stove. Instead, she served the dish on a plate, pressed the bell, and
had the waitress serve it to the customers.

She then looked for an ointment to relieve burn wounds. Waving at Jim, she said, “Come here.”



Jim walked over to her.

Opening the bottle, she said, “Give me your hand.” Jim reached out his finger to Sage. There were no
cotton buds in the kitchen so Sage could only use her finger to apply the ointment to his burn wound.
“You’re lucky that it’s not serious. If not, how are you going to play basketball?”

“It’s alright,” Jim replied as a smile found its way across his face.

Unlike other ladies who enjoyed getting manicures, Sage was different. Her fingernails were well-
trimmed but her palms were covered with callus.

Her hands reminded Jim of his mother.

His mother used to apply ointment for him just like how Sage did it right now, gently and caringly.

“Sis.”

“Hmm?”

Jim pressed his lips together before saying, “You remind me of my mom.”
