“Why? Did you think I went crazy? Was it bizarre?”

Nigel drove steadily and raised his eyebrows.

Sage was not afraid of it at all. She squatted down and rubbed its neck twice. “Puffy, when did you
become so fat?”



Puffy was quiet and did not answer. Nigel complained on behalf of his fur baby, “How is he fat? He has
grown up, okay?” Sage bullied Puffy as soon as she arrived. Nigel helped carry her luggage in while
she grabbed Puffy’s short legs. Puffy could only hop into the house and looked extremely pitiful. Puffy’s
inner thoughts, ‘I wanted to give her a warning, but she tortured me instead. Forget it, forget it. Time to
be a coward.’ Nigel had carried the luggage upstairs when he saw Sage walk upstairs with Puffy in her
arms. Nigel felt hilarious to see his fur baby curled into a ball in Sage’s arms. He tapped Puffy’s head in
frustration, “You’re always so active and naughty whenever a guest visits. Why are you such a good
boy today? Are you really my son?” Sage looked down at Puffy and chuckled softly. “Well, he must be
nice to me? By the way, he’s sleeping with me tonight.”

kernel tomorrow and make him homeless.”

Puffy remained quiet and obediently lowered its head. It usually bullied the weak and feared the strong
“I won’t pee in your room! Why are you so smug? Hmph!’



The two said good night to each other and went into their separate rooms. Sage’s room was filled with
rose-flavored incense. Smelling the familiar and long-lost smell distracted her a little.

She gently put Puffy on the floor and patted its head lightly. “I’m going to change and take a bath. Don’t
peek!” Puffy moved its head to the corner. ‘Who cares?’
