Chapter 402

Sage slept on the whole journey home. When she disembarked the plane, it was already evening. The
twilight was dazzling.

She stretched her stiff neck and listened to Hunter talking on the phone with Leah behind her. His tone
was gentle.

“Have you completed the discharge procedure? My dear Leah, you’re so capable… Yeah. We’ve got
off the plane. We’ll go to the hospital directly to pick you up… Do you miss me? I miss you too…”

They were so lovey-dovey that Sage could not bear to listen to them.

Sage witnessed Nigel and Sean’s loving moments in Brown City. Since she returned to Salem City, she
had to watch her assistant and sister flirt with each other. The lonely and single Sage felt tired watching
all those lovebirds. Hunter hung up the phone and hurried forward to tell Sage a few words about
Wayne’s situation.

“Leah said that Grandpa Wayne is recovering well. Jim goes to the hospital daily and feeds him well.
Grandpa Wayne has gained a lot of weight, and his spirit is much better now.” Sage’s indifferent
expression softened thinking of Jim. “This child is nice.” Then, she asked, “How about Dean?”

Hunter reported, “Dean is recovering well. He’s actively doing daily rehabilitation, and he can now walk
on the ground. Ryan is arranging for Dean to return to the crew to shoot some simpler scenes before
gradually resuming the action scenes.” “Hm. Remind Dean not to push himself. Let’s wait for his full
recovery first.”

Hunter answered with a hum and was about to contact Dean’s agent, Ryan.

Then, he saw Sage’s glance and looked up at her again. “Is there anything else?”



Sage looked at him with calm eyes and tutted lightly. It gave Hunter goosebumps.

Immediately, he thought frantically, ‘Did I do something wrong?’ Sage said slowly, “I’m planning to
transfer you.” Hunter’s heart trembled cowardly. He worked for Sage for years. She trained him, so he
knew all her moves and intentions. Just by looking at her, he knew that something big would happen!



In an instant, Hunter thought about all his actions while working for her, hoping that he did not do
anything wrong…

When Jaxon framed Dean, Hunter made the evidence solid and threw Jaxon out of the entertainment
circle.

Hunter fired several department managers of Norah Group who were involved in bribing. He froze all
the property in Braxton’s name and forced him to live in the nursing home with



his crippled legs, preventing him from showing up and causing more trouble. He gave Zane and his
son’s DNA report to Zane’s lover.

Zane was cuckolded by his wife and even had others raise their son for many years. He was so furious
and had beaten Gwyneth hard.

Then, Zane was taken away by the police because of domestic violence. He was detained for three
days before they released him.

Everything was done according to Sage’s instructions except for Zane’s matter. Hunter took action
against Zane because of his selfish desire to protect Leah. He vented his anger on Leah’s behalf by



dealing with Zane.

Hunter’s train of thought only went on for a few seconds. Sage faintly said, “I want to transfer to the
branch in North City as the president. If nothing goes wrong, you can become the vice-president of
Greater Valley when you return. What do you think?”

Hunter was so stunned that he was beyond words. His heart raced rapidly for a short while and finally
calmed down. It turned out that Sage was planning to send him to a remote area as a promotion. “I-I’m
