Tim jokingly asked, “Have you calmed down yet?”

Sage responded, “Yes.”

Someone was urging Tim to continue the meeting. “Everyone has been waiting for too long…”

Sage laughed. She thought that Tim was being domineering and felt ashamed. “Tim, I’m okay now. You
should go back to work.”

Hunter opened the door for Sage to exit the car. The white bandage on her hand was extra noticeable
at night. Just as she was about to hang up the phone, Tim said, “If you want to hear me play live, you
should come over soon.”

“Alright, I just need to settle the opening ceremony for the racecourse tomorrow and arrange the follow-
up. Then, I will fly over.”

The water slowly dripped down from Sage’s hair. She closed her eyes and let the ice-cold water
shower her face and body. The bandage was taken off and the blood was washed away slowly with the
running water. She wanted to calm down. She needed to calm down.

The nightmare from ten years ago should never ever happen again, and so was the tragedy from three
years ago. Neither she nor her brothers could withstand the pain of losing their loved ones. She would

day. Sage acted as if nothing had happened. She woke up as usual at seven in the morning. Although

you.”

Sage looked at her with a puzzled expression. “You should spend the day with your boyfriend on
Valentine’s day. Why do you want to spend time with me instead?”



She stuffed the last piece of bread into her mouth and took a sip of orange juice. Afterward, she said to
Hunter, “You can take the day off after the opening ceremony ends. Take Leah out.”

Hunter never expected his boss to give him the day off. He was so grateful that he nearly ended up
crying.

On the way to the racecourse, everyone kept texting in the group. Sage rubbed her brows and took out
her phone. She saw the brother and sister group chat on her WhutsApp was very lively.



First of all, Nigel showed off the engagement rings with Sean. They were simple and plain silver, but
they looked pretty nice because of their long and slender fingers.

The brothers started spamming the group to disregard his action for showing off his love. Afterward,

Sage smiled cheerfully and knew that her brothers were always her fountain of happiness. She thought
it was a battle she had to fight alone today. However, both of her lame partners were there at the
racecourse when she arrived. Yoel was yawning, looking very lazy, whereas Jace was wearing casual



clothing, white short sleeves with black pants. He was also wearing a white sunhat while standing
