“There’s no right and wrong in a love relationship. A good marriage has to be managed with a lot of
hard work. I can only say that Freya and I were still too young at that time. We were too impulsive and

Lucas’s eyes glistened. “I told Luna about it. My son has gone down my path. He’s just like me.

Jace’s impatience was written all over his face. He raised the cup and chugged half a cup of tea and
eased the restlessness in his heart. Then, he suddenly smiled and raised his head upon remembering
what Lucas said just now.

His sharp eyes were almost identical to Freya’s. Jace locked his gaze on Lucas. “You’re right. I’m just
like you. I’m cold and heartless like you, full of hypocrisy and indifference. I neglect others, just like how
shameless you are.”

Jace admitted it straightforwardly. “You aren’t sorry for me either. You should feel sorry for my mother. I
didn’t understand it back then, but now I do.”

“You delayed the divorce, not because you were afraid that it would affect me. Rather, you needed the
identity as the Yuriel family’s son-in-law at that time to lay a strong foundation for your career. You
couldn’t give up on your splendid future.”
