“You’ve made the arrangements?” Hayden looked puzzled, “Where? Is it at the hotel?”

In fact, she would prefer to stay directly at the hotel. After all, the hotel had staff rooms and it would be

“You can just forget about staying at the hotel,” Joseph dismissed her idea directly, “There’s no more
room.”

The car drove straight to the door of the Imperial Villa. She had only stayed at home for a day, and then

Hayden forced a smile, “Mr. Beckham, don’t tell me this is the place that you’ve arranged for me to
stay. This isn’t it, right?”

“This is it.”

The maids were already moving the luggage into the house adeptly. Hayden tried to stop them, but she
couldn’t.

“I think it is not quite right for me to stay here.”

“There are many extra rooms here. There’s enough room for you. There will be a car to fetch Stella
back and forth from school. Plus, this place is not far from where you work.” Joseph looked at her.



“I won’t let you stay for free. You’ll be responsible for breakfast and dinner on weekdays. For
weekends, you’ll need to prepare three meals a day, since Noah only likes to eat the food you make.”

This seemed to be a fair and just statement, where Hayden couldn’t find anything wrong with it.

The cooks in Joseph’s house were paid monthly and have food and accommodation provided. Hence,
she was not taking advantage of him because she cooked in exchange for the accommodation.

“Al… Alright. I’ll move out when the matter is settled.”

Joseph nodded his head without an expression on his face, “Go in first.”

The maid led Hayden to the room next to the master bedroom. Originally, this room was just an
ordinary bedroom, which Hayden has stayed before. However, this time it had changed quite a lot
because there were more decorations in it. The dressing table was also filled with all kinds of
expensive cosmetics. What surprised Hayden the most was that there was also a husky plush doll
placed on the bed.

“I guess this is prepared for Stella. Thank you.”

The maid spoke respectfully, “Miss Stella has her own room. Young master said you may come back
late from working overtime. It will be inconvenient to share a room with Miss Stella, so this room is for
you alone, and this doll is also for you.”

Hayden did not expect that Joseph would make this kind of arrangements. She felt warm in her heart.
She shook the husky doll in the hand and smiled, “How could this be prepared for me? I’m not a child
anymore.”

“I’m afraid that you’re not used to be sleeping alone,” the maid seemed to be quite young. She looked
like a young girl who haven’t reach her twenties. She was very shy and got nervous when she heard



the question, “There are many toys here, so I took one randomly and placed it here. I don’t know that

that it was because the maid had been lectured by Joseph to make her act like this. Hence, she
stopped teasing her and let her go after asking a couple of questions. From that, she learned that the
maid’s name was Emma.

Hayden walked around inside the room, looking at the new purple curtains, which was changed
recently. She smiled in satisfaction because she found that the decoration style of Joseph’s house was
quite good.

On the other hand, Freddie was arranged to stay at the branch of the ST Hotel, in the eastern district of
Nanking. Joseph wished to send him away as far as possible from the city center. Freddie got into the
hotel and listened to Magnus, Joseph’s assistant, telling him something about what Joseph had
instructed to tell. After Magnus finished, Freddie became so angry that he grabbed Magnus’s phone
and called Joseph.

“Joseph! You are so cunning! You actually played tricks by luring me away to let Hayden stay at your
house.”



Joseph held the phone farther away from his ear to prevent his eardrums to be blown up, and said
solely, “You’re overthinking it. Based on the situation today, you have no choice but to leave first.”

“Do you think I’m stupid? The reporter just reached ten minutes ago, and you already arranged
everything, including the people and the hotel. Be frank, did you inform the reporter that I was at
Hayden’s house?”

A glint of interest crossed Joseph’s eyes.

This guy was quite clever to see through his tricks so quickly.

Freddie got no reply from the other end of the line and in that moment, he was confirmed that it was the
truth. He immediately raised his voice, “Hey you cunning little fox! You are a scoundrel. You still called
yourself as the CEO of the ST Group. You are so unscrupulous! I guess your family didn’t know
anything about this! You are shameless to deceive Hayden, who is so innocent and naive.”

Joseph, who had never been scolded like this before, was surprisingly not angry at all. He corrected
Freddie in a serious manner, “She doesn’t seem to have anything to do with innocence.”

The rumors about Hayden’s clever and daring behavior at the hotel had reached the ears of the group’s
headquarters. She was definitely not as simple and innocent as she seemed to be. Since she took up
her post, she had never been treated nicely by the people around her. Moreover, she had been
entrusted with important responsibilities now, which wasn’t someone that was soft and innocent who
could handle it.

“You’re right! She is not that innocent at all!” Freddie suddenly changed his perception and said
eagerly, “She is particularly sophisticated. She may betray you and sell your house before you could
stop her. So, get her out of your house now!”



Joseph’s corner of his mouth twitched. It was his first time to meet a person like Freddie. He wondered
why the people around Hayden were so talented. She had a best friend who can beat Kevin till he was
nearly dead with her bare hands. Plus, she had another friend who treated her like biological sister,
who can act coquettishly, scold people fiercely and threaten people too. He can do everything to
protect her.

“I only let her stay at my place because Noah likes to eat the food she cooks. Nothing more. So, you’re
just overthinking it.”

“I don’t believe it! You could hire any famous cooks from all over the country if you wished to! You don’t
need Hayden to cook for your son.”

“Believe it or not, Noah only likes to eat the food she made.”

Joseph’s tone turned serious, “Also, there’s one more thing. The boss of R&X Corporation is a friend of
mine. I can recommend you to his company. If you decided to join them, I’ll ask him to contact you.”

“Who needs your recommendation?” The voice on the other end of the line scolded, “I’m in high
demand, I don’t need your recommendation at all!”

Joseph didn’t want to listen to him anymore, so he just hung up the phone directly.

A kid like Freddie, who relied on his innate musical talent and had a smooth path along the way, was
normally an arrogant and stubborn person. He would never listen to anyone’s advice.

After a while, a call from Magnus’s number called again. This time, it was Magnus himself.

“Mr. Beckham, it’s all done. The agent from Ray-Trace Media will contact him and tell him about the
contract later.”

After the phone was hung up, Joseph gave a grin.

Freddie had just rejected his recommendation to sign a contract with R&X Corporation. Hence, he
would definitely be eager to sign a contract with another company to prove his ability. If an agent from
Ray-Trace Media approached him now, he would surely agree without any hesitations, as long as the
terms and conditions were good enough.
