Chapter 240: Did I Disturb You?

Hayden frowned, “I just feel we didn’t have the chance to talk calmly and communicate since that time.”
She said 'that time' very vaguely. After all, she herself didn't have the courage to face such a wound
again.

When he heard the word ‘that time’, his expression also changed slightly. His eyebrows twitched twice,

"I admit that I hid something from you before, but at that time, I felt that since Edison and I were not in a
real marriage, there was no need to give more explanations. I took Stella to the United States, and if I

married. We’ll only see him once or twice a year during festivals like Christmas.”

She felt that her speech has given Kevin a big trouble.

department.

Joseph finally stopped being awkward. He told Hayden everything that had happened in the evening,
brief and concise.

“I heard him say the hotel address at the dinner party. When the party ends, I saw at the bar street, so I
told Magnus to stop the car and followed you there. Initially, I planned to wait for you for ten minutes. If
you’re out within ten minutes, I will not go in.” To her surprise, Joseph seemed to be quite chatty today.

that something bad had happened to me?”

“Yes.”

Alright, Hayden gave a dry cough and explained why she was not in the room.

understand this well. Stop acting like that. I have something to do, I really got to go.”

Joseph stood up immediately, “I’ll send you there.”

“No need.” Hayden glanced at his chest, “the doctor said that you are not recovering very well. You still
need more rest. My hotel is just nearby, and I can walk there. In the future… We’ll meet again if we got
the chance.”



As she spoke, she clutched her bag tightly and smiled politely, “I’m leaving now.”

Joseph stood in place, looking at her back as she walked away. The warmth in his eyes faded away as
she left. At last, he grabbed he phone and finally burst out with extreme anger when the call was
connected.

“Kevin! Why didn't you tell me about the fake marriage between Hayden and Edison?”

This sudden thunderous roar echoed throughout the ward, making Magnus, who had always been
used to his temper, trembled in fear. His hand carrying the medicine box shook several times and he
almost dropped it onto the ground.

As Magnus saw Joseph violently cursing on the phone, he reacted very quickly. Before the doctor and
other patient noticed them, he closed the door of the ward and hurriedly squatted down by the door and
secretly texted Hayden.

The boss had no regard for his image anymore. What could it be to make him so agitated?

On the other hand, Hayden just came out of the hospital gate. Outside, there was a bright moon,
accompanied with a few stars in the night sky. As she stepped out, a notification ringtone rang in her
pocket. She took her phone out and looked at the message, “What have you said to Mr. Beckham?
Give me some hint. He called Mr. Jackman and yelled at him fiercely. I’m afraid that he will yell at me
