Chapter 115: This Kiss Takes Someone by Surprise

As soon as she saw Hayden, Lillian broke into tears and cried out.

“Ms. Downey, I didn’t take any necklace. She slanders me.”

“I know, I know you didn’t take it. This matter is not investigated clearly yet, you come down first.”

“You’re lying.” Lillian held the railing with one hand and wiped her tears with the other hand. The people
who watched this got cold feet but she screamed at the top of her voice.

“All of you are lying to me, it’s totally not like that, you all trust that starlet. She wants you all to sack
me, I’ve heard everything.”

Hearing this, Hayden’s face turned pale and she glared at Jeff fiercely, “What’s going on?”

Jeff wrinkled his brow, “Mr. Brown and the others think that it’s more important to quickly let the film
crew move out, so…”

In the crowd, Mr. Brown suddenly interrupted.

“The reason I do this is for the sake of the hotel.”

“Even if you’re for the sake of the hotel, you can’t simply sack someone at will.” Hayden glanced at Mr.
Brown and her gaze was so sharp and cold that he was scared and he shivered. At that moment, he
did not dare to say anything anymore.

Hayden looked at Lillian again, raised her voice volume and shouted.

“Don’t worry. I assure you that this matter will be investigated clearly. If the necklace isn’t taken by you,
certainly no one will sack you.”



Lillian’s beautiful face was as white as a sheet and was full of depression and disappointment. She
shook her head repeatedly with tears streaming down her cheeks.

After these words were uttered, the railing of the top floor in disrepair suddenly made a cracking sound.

Hayden clenched her fists tightly.

grandmother who’s in her hometown, I’ll find a way to bring her down.”

After these words were uttered, with heart pounding violently, Hayden quietly approached Lillian from
the edge while bending her body after Jeff started talking about Lillian’s grandmother in the hometown.

Jeff’s trembling voice echoed throughout the rooftop.

“Lillian, your grandmother’s health is not good and is still waiting for you to send her money every
month. You shouldn’t give up your life like this.”

Under the scorching sun, the sweats appeared on Hayden’s body and were evaporated quickly with
each step moving forward. Through the gap in the railing, she could see that the fire brigade was

torment to her. Hayden gritted her teeth and used up her last strength to blurt out three words, ‘quickly
save her’.

The crowd who regained their senses hurriedly came forward to pull up Lillian who had fainted due to
fear. Hayden turned around and sat on the ground. She felt as if her arm was dislocated as it hurt so
much that it was numb and she felt difficult to lift it.

“Are you still able to get up?”

A familiar voice sounded above her head.

Hayden was stunned for a moment. When she looked up, the sunlight was blinding but she could
vaguely see Joseph’s handsome face. A fair hand with rounded nails and slender fingers was reached
out to her.



“Why are you here?”

“The reporters are having live downstairs, shouldn’t I come? The fire-fighters are ready downstairs but
you make such a heroic rescue. Are you thinking that the reputation of the hotel is not well-known
enough?”

Joseph’s voice was steady and clear. As always, he was indifferent, “Are you still able to stand up?”

The feeling of survival after a disaster was still lingering in Hayden’s mind. She could not distinguish
how much concerns and cares did Joseph reveal in his tone. Hayden took a deep breath.

“I’ll try.”

Just when the words were spoken, her body was suddenly lifted from the ground and she felt like the
sky was spinning for a moment. Her entire body changed direction and she could finally see his face
clearly when she no longer faced the sun. She could also hear his low, deep and cold voice.

“No need to try.”

She did not shout and at that moment, she subconsciously wrapped Joseph’s neck with her hands and
was horizontally carried by him in his arms to leave the rooftop.

Was he crazy?

Joseph carried her in his arms all the way down the stairs into the elevator and out of the elevator. He
carried her in his arms all the way into her office, ignoring the shocked gazes of everyone along the
way.

After returning to the office, Hayden’s face already turned as red as an apple.

fell together with her?”

to speak.

“You…Don’t you say that the fire brigade downstairs is ready?”

The worst case was that she would fell together with her on the airbag or something else.

“This is the twentieth floor.” Joseph’s face darkened even more.
