Chapter 162: I Have a Private Matter to Deal With

Kevin instantly shut his mouth. His voice abruptly stopped.

Hayden looked back at Kevin and her face did not look good.

They were even childhood friends.

Alayna was livid.

“You surprisingly really know. Continue saying.”

Looking at the situation, if Kevin did not say everything honestly, he would be blamed together with
Joseph. After weighing the pros and cons, Kevin chose to temporarily switch sides.

“Vivian is the English name. Her name is Addison Sanchez. The Sanchez family, my family, and the
Beckham family have been friends for generations. I, Joseph, her eldest brother and her second eldest
brother are similar in age so we often play together as a child. But Joseph is more withdrawn and he
doesn’t love to bother us. Addison is young and we don’t love to take care of her so Joseph is always
the one who takes care of her.”

Seeing that they were close, the elders were happy. Joseph’s father had always wanted a daughter
when he was alive. When he saw Addison, he was even happier than seeing his own son. So, he
decided to set a marriage contract. Joseph did not refuse and the Sanchez family was also happy to
get the support of such a powerful family like the Beckham family.

It was originally a matter of course as they would get married after Addison finished her studies abroad
and came back. However, she fell in love at first sight when she was studying in France. In order to
break the marriage contract with Joseph, she had a big quarrel with her parents when she came back.
In the end, she managed to marry a romantic French man as she wished.

In a few sentences, Kevin casually described the relationship between Joseph and Addison. But even

to get married six years ago, he refused and chose to find a surrogate woman to give birth to a child for

Seeing Hayden leaving in dejection, Alayna stood in the same spot, not knowing what to do.

A sigh came from the bedside.



She abruptly turned her head and said impatiently, “What are you sighing for? I still haven’t settled the
score with you. Joseph has such a sensational love history, why don’t you tell me early so I can give
Hayden a precautionary shot?”

The previous and current lovers had always been a difficult problem. Who knew whether a man would
do something due to his feelings of missing the previous lover?

Kevin was severely reprimanded and he said with a bitter face, “Isn’t this Joseph’s matter? I thought he
would talk to Hayden himself but who knows that Addison will suddenly return?”

“What exactly does she come back for?”

Alayna sat on the bedside, “You know, right?”

Kevin waved his hand hurriedly, “How will I know? I only know that she comes back after having a
divorce. As for Joseph, he perhaps has a little will to repent and return to the shore.”

“Repent and return to the shore?” Alayna frowned, “If he really repents and returns to the shore, how
about Hayden then?”

“One can’t interfere with the matter of the love relationship of others too much.” Kevin covered his
mouth and yawned, lifting the quilt and was going to hit the sack.

“Who let you sleep here?”

Alayna kicked his butt and said impatiently, “Go to sleep on the sofa outside.”

“I’ve said everything just now and I’ve even betrayed my best buddy, you still can’t give me a place to
stay?” Kevin was grieved.

“It’s already an honour for you that I let you sleep on the sofa. If you aren’t happy, get out.”

After tossing and turning all night, Hayden woke up at dawn the next morning.

On the sofa, Kevin was woken up by a rustling sound. He sleepily took his watch from the coffee table.

“It’s only five o’clock, so early?”

Hayden took her bag and prepared to go out. She looked so calm as if nothing had happened last
night.

“I’m going to work early. By the way, you can sleep in the guest room now.”

Kevin nodded dazedly and went to the bedroom while hugging his pillow. But when he turned, he went
in the wrong direction and had entered the master bedroom.

Hayden did not call him and just secretly smiled. Then, she left Alayna’s house.

Joseph’s matter indeed dealt a big blow to her but she still had to continue working. She still had to
plan the matter of letting her son return to her side. Since this was a secret, she would just continue
keeping it as a secret until the lie broke free from control.

“Good morning, Ms. Downey.”

“Good morning.”

She went to the cafeteria to have breakfast after greeting the people of the night shift who were about
to change shift.

After turning on her phone, she saw a missed call from Benjamin and a text message. She called back
directly after glancing at it.



“Have you woken up?”

The voice of Benjamin’s heavy breathing came from the other end of the phone.

“I’ve just come back from jogging.”

“You texted me last night to see whether the plan of your trip has been planned or not? I saw it just
now. Are you planning to leave today?”

“Yeah, there are a lot of places to go so I’ll leave early to get things done early.”

“Let’s meet to talk. I’m in the cafeteria. What do you want to eat, I’ll bring it for you.”

“Whatever, I’m okay with everything.”

Hayden came out of the cafeteria with buns and an egg congee. Before she reached the elevator, a
familiar figure came along and blocked her way.

She frowned and clenched the plastic bag in her hand.

“Good morning, Mr. Beckham. Why are you coming to the hotel early in the morning.”

Joseph heaved a sigh of relief, “I’m here to see you.”

“You’ve come at the wrong timing. I have to bring breakfast for Benjamin and it’s just nice that I have
something to tell him.”

Hearing her cold tone, Joseph’s face darkened slightly.

“Where did you go last night?”



He searched for her all night. When he heard she was in the cafeteria of the hotel early in the morning,
he immediately rushed over but he unexpectedly saw her treating him with an inexplicably strange
attitude.

“I have a little personal matter to do.”

Hayden walked past him and pressed the elevator button.

“What is it?” Joseph’s question came from behind her.

“Personal matter. Everyone has their own private space. You don’t need to know everything about me,
right.”

“What do you mean?” Joseph stared at her and was a little annoyed.

“Every matter can be told to others. I don’t think there’s anything that can’t be told.”

After looking for her all night, when he came to find her early in the morning, he saw her bringing
breakfast for another man. Everyone would feel bad upon seeing this but she even also gave him cold
shoulders.

The atmosphere was a little stiff instantly.

‘Ding’. The sound of the elevator arriving broke the silence. Hayden’s back was facing Joseph.

“We should treat others as we expect to be treated. You also didn’t say to me isn’t
it?”
