Chapter 277 I Am Afraid Mr. Beckham will Be Teased

What Hayden said made Benjamin to swallow all his unspoken words. Looking at Hayden’s expression
of inquiry, he nodded.

“Yes, it’s my mother.”

“It’s not good for you to have a mother complex, because girls mind it so much now.”

Hayden said with concern, and then took her bag.

“I have business to take care of, so I have to go now.”

“I drive you there.” Benjamin stood up.

“No.” Hayden took a glance at the cook house.

“Stella was going to take a pizza, so you stay here and wait for her to live up to her thoughts. I know
the way out. Don’t worry.”

Then Hayden turned to the door of the shop.

“Where is your sister?”

Stella put the hot pizza on the table. The iron plate hit against the table with a thud, which gave him
quite a scare. “What are you doing? You are a girl, can be much gentler? Do you want to scare me to
death?”

With his words, Stella’s smile froze suddenly and then shot him a look.

“Don’t be so ungrateful. Either you take it or I feed the dog with it.”

“No one will marry you this way.”



“You rest assured. You will be my bridegroom only when all men in this world were dead.”

Benjamin suddenly paused and then he anyhow thought of what Hayden just said to him. He bowed his
head and smiled.

“What are you laughing at?” Stella was in a daze.

Benjamin, however, laughed silently and ate the pizza, missing to see the girl’s face turning red for the
sake of his tender smile.

Stellalooked at him up and down, thinking he did have a good looking.

Back to the company, Hayden went to see Dante.

“How about the order?”

“We have entrusted a manufacturer to work around the lock. But we are still pretty tight for time,
because the Joann Group wants the goods within one month. I am concerned with the quality, so we
have the overseers to look over the workers’ shoulder day and night.”

“The overseers should be professional in clothing.” Hayden advised.

Dante nodded.

“So the designers have to be the overseers.”

“But you also have to be busy the Design Competition these days, can you handle it?”

Hayden was a little worried.

In order to regain the reputation of Green Lemon Clothing, the designer team under the leadership of
Dante signed up for the National Costume Design Competition. These days, the designers were all



busy for the competition.

“Fine.” Dante looked calm, “The competition is not so troublesome, and the overseers don’t have to
work all day long. Some of them could go and carry out spot-checks every day.”

After she left the design department, the assistant Anna caught up with her and reminded her of the
AW business party next night.

“President Downey, you will go alone, or...”

“You think I will find no man to be my male companion?”

Hayden took a look at Anna.

with Mr. Beckham?”

“Yes.”

Anna hurriedly explained, “Don’t be angry. I just think that there are more people who would like to
make the sweet pot sweeter, but few to do a favor when their friends are in times of trouble, especially
in the business community. According to Mr. Beckham’s disposition and means before, I believe he has
pissed off many people.”

“Go on.”

Hayden wanted to know Anna’s thoughts.

“Mr. Beckham now is not the executive president of ST Group now, but the treasurer of Downey Group.

As she walked to the office, Hayden asked Anna, “How long have you been in the Downey Group?”

“Five years.”

shoulders, because whatever she said to her, she was always calm. That’s why she chose Anna to be
her secretary at her first sight.



In the afternoon, Hayden went to the manufacturer with Dante. As he expected, the workers on the
assembly line who worked temporarily for the manufacturer were not very meticulous. The first batch of
clothing had to be reworked. Therefore, Dante snapped at them and the owner of the manufacturer
were called to the site at once.

“What’s going on?”
