“Excuse me”, Hayden glanced at him. Rolling her eyes inwardly, “I’m not free, maybe next time.”

She turned to another direction to walk pass him.

But Samuel was quick to block her again, “Ms. Hayden, you are being rude here, I am all good but hate
losing face, if you reject, you might lose things that you want.”

Hayden felt funny about how she ended up speaking to such a weirdo.

“The thing I want seems to have no relation to you, I don’t know if I’ve offended you that you would
treat me this way, please make it clear.”

“You didn’t offend me.” Samuel smiled, “But I like you. Don’t you want to do business with Joann
Group? The business is yours if you have a drink with me outside, and I will tell Mr. Wright accordingly.
On top of that, the manufacturing of Porry Group’s workers next season uniform is all yours, what do
you think?”

Hayden almost laughed out loud, “Sorry, I won’t trade myself for business.”

Hayden’s face turned cold in an instant, she walked past Samuel and headed in another direction.

Samuel’s voice was heard from behind.

“Ms. Hayden, you have one night to consider, come to White Moon Hotel room 419 if you change your
mind.”

Hayden walked without turning back, she cursed the perverted Samuel Shawn repeatedly inside.

Such a shameless man, it was truly disgusting.

A cold pair of eyes had been watching the entire time.

When he wanted to step forward, Magnus spoke to his wireless earpiece.

“Mr. Beckham, Franklin is at the roof talking to a lady, it looks like Ms. Kidman.”

Joseph tweaked his eyebrow, his face softened when he saw Hayden got away from Samuel. “Alright.”

Nothing would have happened in a crowded hall, but Joseph did not like how that rascal talked to
Hayden. And his face turned cold when he thought of this.

Hayden looked for Joseph after she got rid of Samuel. She looked around and found that he was
heading towards the roof, she froze with one hand still holding onto her skirt.

Perhaps she had thought too much, he'd moved on quite well.



Amid the party, the crowd were moving towards the champagne tower where a mic testing sound was
heard, Hayden was pushed forward by the crowd.

“We would like to give our warmest welcome to Mr. Wright from Joann Group. It’s our pleasure to have
him here tonight.”

The organizer was a young man in his thirty's, he introduced Bowen Wright to the crowd.

This seemed weird, while puzzling, Hayden found Edwina in the crowd, they exchanged a glance and
Edwina shook her head signifying that she was puzzled too.

Bowen took over the mic and greeted everyone with a smile, “It was my pleasure to represent Joann
Group in this party by Shanghai and Nanking corporations. I was invited over by an old friend and also
here to announce that we need a manufacturer for Joann Group’s workers’ uniform, I sincerely hope all
the corporations here will take part in the bidding of this project…”

His speech created a stir amongst the crowd.

Edwina managed to squeeze herself beside Hayden and frowned, “Bowen Wright agreed to deal only
with Green Lemon, why offer a bid out of nowhere? Cunning fox, he’s too much.”

Hayden frowned too, “I think I know why.”

Edwina stunned, “Why?”

Following Hayden’s sight, Edwina saw a man seated on the sofa not far away, who acted like none of
this was his business, he raised his glass towards Hayden.

“Samuel Shawn?” Edwina frowned.



“You know him too?” Hayden looked towards Edwina, “He asked me for a drink but I rejected. He said
something confusing but now I understand the meaning. He must be the reason of Mr. Wright's sudden
change of mind.”

Edwina turned green, “This pervert, who doesn’t know him in Shanghai? He had victimized tons of
ladies because he has a powerful father. He is pretty close with Mr. Wright, his father has connections
and is well respected in Shanghai, you’ve offended him.”

Hayden looked worried, “He is the one behind all this for sure, is there a way to reverse all this? Should
I go and have a drink with him now?

“Don’t.” Edwina objected, “I’ll be in trouble if Edison found out I let you drink with others. We need to
think it through. Bowen is a decent businessman, even though he might need to bow a little to Porry
Group but he needs to prioritize his own company. Worse come to worst, we will bid.”

Edwina looked at Hayden, “But the thing is, Samuel might intervene again, he is known as an
unscrupulous person.”

Hayden became even more worried.

The luck is not by her side, a succeeded business deal will turn into ashes just because a dandy liked
her? It’s ridiculous.

Samuel’s voice flashed across Hayden’s mind. Wasn’t the meaning of the number too obvious?

Joseph left the hall after the party was over, a woman with sexy figure followed behind him in a rush.

Magnus opened the door of the back seat, Joseph disregarded the voice behind him and got into the
car.

The door closed. Viola rushed to the front of the car but was blocked by Magnus.
