Chapter 287: Can’t Force The Child

There was a long silence on the other end of the phone.

Benjamin suddenly became anxious, “Mom, don’t say anything. I didn't do anything. He doesn't know
who I am. I was just wondering if you’d like to meet him. I think he doesn’t seem to be a cold-hearted
person.”.

“No need.”

The gentle voice was a bit difficult, “I met him in the summer.”

“You’ve met?”

Benjamin was taken aback, “When?”

“I'm still boiling soup in my pot. The inn guests are waiting to have it. I’ll have to end the call.”

After speaking, the phone was hung up.

Seeing the words ‘Rebekah ’ as the first line of the incoming and outgoing calls on the screen of the
phone, Benjamin took a deep breath and felt panicky.

three options were filled with Nanking. However, he remembered that once he came here, there was a

Joseph had a fever then caught the flu. The flu came so suddenly. Benjamin took care of him for two

When Hayden wore a mask while disinfecting the home, Benjamin wrapped a blanket and coughed on
the sofa as he said,

“I have to listen to a lecture spoken by a professor from abroad tomorrow.”.

professor. Stay at home for these two days. Don't go anywhere. Don't cross-infect.”

“What about Stella and Noah?” Joseph's voice came from the other side of the sofa.

their home who are down with the flu too. They had been made to stop work to rest and right now they
are disinfecting their entire home.”.

the United States. Dante is in the company making new pieces every day plus he doesn't know how to
handle children. Don’t even talk about Freddie and Cleveland.”



“Why don't you won't think of them, aren't they very suitable? They also have nannies at home.”

“They went to Bali.”

“Honeymoon.”

Benjamin tutted twice.

Hayden carried the mop to the bathroom, unbuttoned her apron and gloves, put on her coat, and
shouted towards the bedroom, “Noah, Stella, we’re leaving.”

The two children ran out. Hayden had already put on a medical mask for them earlier in fear of being
infected. She only needed to button up their two orange hats, only their two big eyes could be seen.

“I told you earlier this morning that you would be going to my aunt's house to stay for two days until
everyone who has a cold at home has been cured, then I will pick you up to come home.”

The two little guys were very obedient, while holding Hayden's hand, they both pulled their suitcases.

As soon as she entered the elevator, Hayden’s phone rang. After seeing the caller ID, she was taken
aback then she pressed the answer button.

“What’s the matter, Mark?”

Three minutes later, Hayden took the two children downstairs.

A black Rolls Royce was parked at the side of the building’s door.

Due to the drop in temperature and the flu, there haven’t been many people from the community
coming out. Even though it was only in the afternoon, it was already very quiet.



Mark stood in front of the car, and once he saw Hayden came out, he quickly greeted her.

“There has been a flu bug going around Nanking in the past few days. Harrison was worried and
wanted me to pick up Little Noah.”

As soon as Mark spoke, Hayden felt a squeeze on her calves. Needless to say, it was Noah who was
hugging her and refused to let go.

“Mark, it's not that I don’t want to let you take Noah away, but you can see for yourself too. Noah
doesn’t want to. I plan to send them both to my aunt's place so that they won't be infected.”

“I heard that two nannies in Director Barnett's house had fallen ill.”

Hayden frowned upon hearing it.

Harrison was resourceful for he even knew that her aunt's family’s nannies had caught the flu.

Hayden looked embarrassed, “Mark, you can't force the child. I know that Harrison has opinions on me,
however on this matter, I really can’t force the child.”

“Ms. Downey, Harrison had no intention to make it difficult for you.”

Mark hesitated for a few seconds, “If Harrison wanted to make things hard for you, he wouldn’t have
come over in person. Regarding the young master, Harrison does not blame you. After all, you didn’t do



anything wrong. It’s just his dissatisfaction towards the young master.”

“Harrison is here?” Hayden looked at the Rolls Royce in front of the door in surprise.

Hayden hesitated for a while, she raised her head and said seriously, “Well, Mark, please let Harrison
know that regarding his dissatisfaction towards Joseph, I have something to say. As long as he hears
me out, I will find a solution regarding Noah.”.

Mark was taken aback, “Ms. Downey, had you talked to the young master?”

“Don't worry about it, I know what's going on.”

Upon hearing this, Mark nodded and he turned and ran towards the car, opened the car door and
talked to Harrison inside, and ran back to her.

“Ms. Downey, it's too cold outside. Let's take the two children to the car first and find a warmer place to
talk.”

Hayden nodded, touched the heads of the two children through the hat, and took a deep breath, “Let's
go.”

They found a Japanese-style teahouse not too far away from the area where Hayden lived. There
weren’t many people and had a children’s playground. Hayden and Harrison sat on the tatami with a
pinewood tea table between them with the fragrance of tea was filling up the atmosphere.

“Although I don't think there is much credibility in what you said, Mark said that if I don't listen, you
won't let me take Noah away, is it?”
