Chapter 229: He Just Left

In the VIP ward of the hospital, Magnus’s voice echoed throughout the large ward. His voice was mixed
with a bit of worry.

“They didn’t mention any other things in the meeting. However, most members of the Board wanted an
explanation regarding the loss of the project in Guangzhou. Mr. Scott had helped you to tell the
members about your situation but his words were all refuted by Mr. Liam.”

“Got it.”

Joseph had already changed out of his hospital gown. His black handmade suit fitted his muscular
body curves, which covered the bandages on his back. When he got up, there was no longer the
slightest hint of sickness visible on his face.

“Go and complete the discharge formalities.”

“But Mr. Beckham, the doctor said you can’t be discharged from the hospital as your injury hasn’t
recovered.”

However, Joseph fastened the buttons of his suit and walked out of the ward with big steps, as if he
had not heard Magnus’s words. He only said a sentence indifferently.

“You should know what words should you tell the hospital staff when you go through the discharge
formalities.”

Looking at Joseph’s back, Magnus sighed helplessly and he chased after him.

The doctor had asked him to hospitalize for at least a month to recuperate. Two ribs in front of his chest
were broken and they compressed the nerves in his heart. This was something very serious.

However, Joseph still acted like it was not a big deal.



Magnus thought that he should work hard as the boss who was injured also worked so hard.

With a “ding” sound, the lift arrived at their floor and Magnus followed Joseph into the lift one after the
other. At the same time, a lift also arrived at their floor later. A nurse pushed the operating bed out,

had been discharged, “How could that be? I just heard that he was hospitalized and came over. Are
you sure you are checking the correct patient?”

“Yes, I’m sure I’m not wrong.” The nurse explained patiently, “The patient has just been discharged.
Hey? Did you come from Lift One over there? He’s just left from there.”

Hayden was stunned, “Just left?”

“Yes, the person next to him who came to complete his discharge formalities should be his assistant.
The two of them have just…”

Before the nurse finished her words, another old nurse at the side abruptly interrupted her.

“The two of them have just left. Miss, if you are worried about him, it is still not too late to chase after
them, but the patient’s injuries are not serious. It’s just that rich people like to make a fuss. The doctor
told him that there was no need for him to stay in the hospital for so long, but he still felt uneasy.
Therefore, he stayed in the hospital for observation these days.”



Hayden regained her consciousness and glanced at the nurse who was talking in a daze. After
confirming that she didn’t hear the nurse’s words wrongly, the anxiety and worry in her eyes slowly
dissipated, and she smiled self-depreciatingly.

She wondered why did she believe that Joseph had been injured severely and rush to the hospital
hurriedly.

If he hadn’t just happened to be discharged from the hospital, she felt that there was a high chance that
he was going to be taunted by him again when he saw her visiting him unsolicitedly.

Looking at Hayden’s despondent appearance as she left, the young nurse at the duty desk patted her
chest and let out a long sigh of relief.

“Katherine, luckily you reacted quickly. I didn’t even realize that I was about to say something wrong
just now. If the head nurse knew about it, she would have scolded me badly.”

“The head nurse said that Mr. Beckham’s assistant had specifically ordered that we must not say the
truth about Mr. Beckham’s condition if anyone asked about it. Were you just playing with your phone
until you did not hear her words?”

The young nurse spat out her tongue, “I heard her words. I just didn’t expect that someone to ask about
it so soon. I was careless, and it’s so strange. Mr. Beckham is not suffering from a strange disease.
Why can’t he tell others the truth?”

“You don’t understand.” The older nurse frowned, “Which patient who stays here is not worth a few
hundred million Yuan? Things in the business world change rapidly. When one person falls, millions of
people are waiting to replace the person’s place. How dare they reveal their health condition to
others?”

“Is it that scary?”



The little nurse looked shocked, “Then I just now…”

“Never mind. It’s over and nothing has happened. Just learn this lesson. Go do the rounds first. I won’t
tell the head nurse about this.”

“Thank you Katherine. I will go now.”

Looking at the young nurse’s careless look, the older nurse shook her head helplessly.

The most important thing when one worked in the hospital was that one couldn’t take things lightly. One
had to be on guard at all times, especially if they worked in the inpatient department of these special
VIP wards. If one simply told the matters of the patients to other people, he or she might not be able to
keep his or her job.

After leaving the hospital, Hayden went back to her shop first. The business in her shop was good and
there were many supporters. As the designer, Dante was there in person. He followed the customers
like a shop assistant, introducing the material and comfortableness of the clothes to them. He also
listened to the customers’ opinions with an open mind.

“This batch of clothes designed by Mr. Burke has sold out both online and offline. Several customers
didn’t manage to buy them and asked us to make sure to keep the clothes for them when the next
batch of the clothes is out.”

The shop assistant respectfully reported the sales of the day to Hayden and asked, “Ms. Downey, we
should notify the manufacturer to increase the production of this model, right?”

Hayden glanced at Dante who was still busy in the distance. She shook her head, “No need, after the
model is out of stock, hang up the sample there but put up the signboard stating that the model is out of
stock.”



In fact, before the opening of the shop, Hayden had discussed with Dante this situation. This time
Dante as the chief designer would design a series of autumn clothing in which the manufacturer would
not manufacture the models in mass production. Every size of the clothes was only manufactured a
limited number of pieces, so when the models were sold in the shop, the models would be certainly out
of stock or short of sizes.

However, Dante said that he hoped that such a situation would happen.

Green Lemon Clothing Co. Ltd was a company in which its market positioning was to be a light luxury
brand. In terms of brand, the company could not compete with the first and second-tier brands from
overseas, while in terms of price and the speed of introducing the new products, the company could not
compete with the third-tier FMCG companies. Therefore, the company could only start their brand by
introducing models which were limited edition.

Every human being liked to make himself or herself a special kind of existence in this world and selling
the model in limited quantities certainly grasped the psychological needs of the customers.

Dante was indeed a master in designing clothing who could accurately grasp the hearts and minds of
consumers and maximize the commercial value of the clothes in the market.

After the customer followed the shop assistant to check out, Hayden only went over and greeted Dante.

Hayden asked him about the situation in the shop.

“Quite good. Just like what I expected. But after this series of clothes is sold out, surely there would be
many imitations of our models on the market. So, you’ll be busy then.”

Hayden smiled unconcernedly, “Then just sue the company which imitates our models. The money
from the infringement will be enough for us to develop a few more offline shops.”



“I don’t care about those things.”

Dante still showed the same arrogant and cold look as before.

“Later I’m going to meet with Alayna. Do you want to come along?”

“No, I don’t want to meet with her who was not feeling well.” Dante frowned, “Wait a moment, I have
something for you. Just bring it to her.”

After saying that, Dante went to the warehouse and came back with a bag in his hand.

“What is it?”

Hayden looked at the corner of white yarn material exposed inside the bag and was a little curious.

Dante looked disgusted.

“Her graduation design work.”
